Research background: With growing evidence of consumer adoption of mobile shopping apps, there is a pivotal need for comprehending Internet-enabled consumer devices in mobile shopping behavior. Mobile shopping platform features and user technological readiness configure consumers? expectations and demands as regards mobile retailing adoption, leading to acceptance of mobile shopping apps and payment services. Purpose of the article: In this research, prior findings have been cumulated indicating that mobile social apps extend throughout consumer attitudes and behaviors by the widespread adoption of smartphones. We contribute to the literature by showing that cutting-edge technological developments associated with customer behavior in relation to mobile commerce apps have resulted in the rise of data-driven systems. Consumer behavioral intention and adoption intention in relation to mobile shopping apps/websites are developed on perceived risk and trust consequences. Methods: Throughout February and March 2021, a quantitative literature review of the Web of Science, Scopus, and ProQuest databases was carried out, with search terms comprising ?mobile shopping app?, ?mobile commerce platform?, ?mobile payment service?, ?Internet-enabled consumer device?, ?consumer technological adoption?, and ?mobile shopping behavior?. As research published between 2018 and 2021 was analyzed, only 330 sources met the suitability criteria. By removing questionable or indeterminate findings (insubstantial/inconsequent data), results unconfirmed by replication, too imprecise content, or having quite similar titles, 66, chiefly empirical, sources were selected. A systematic review of recently published literature was carried out on technological adoption of mobile commerce apps by employing Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis (PRISMA) guidelines. The Systematic Review Data Repository was used, a software program for the gathering, handling, and analysis of data for the systematic review. The quality of the academic articles was determined by harnessing the Mixed Method Appraisal Tool. Findings & value added: The consumer purchase decision?making process in mobile app-based marketing involves consumer engagement and willingness to adopt mobile commerce apps. Further advancements should clarify how technological-based consumer adoption of mobile shopping throughout social commerce can improve the payment for products and services.

PurposeThe study aims to deliver a decision support system for business leaders to estimate the potential for effective technological adoption of the blockchain (TAB) with a machine learning approach.Design/methodology/approachThis study uses a Bayesian network examination to develop an extrapolative system of decision support, highlighting the influential determinants that managers can employ to predict the TAB possibilities in their companies. Data were gathered from 167 SMEs in the largest industrial sectors in Palestine.FindingsThe results reveal perceived benefit and ease of use as the most influential determinants of the TAB.Originality/valueThis research is an initial effort to examine factors influencing TAB in the perspective of SMEs in Palestine using machine learning algorithms.

<p>Technology inevitably evolves and develops rapidly in the modern era, industries and professions continue to strive in integrating, adapting and utilising these advancements to improve, optimise and improve the process of design to manufacture to the user experience.  Although disruptive at first causing a reluctance of technological adoption within a workplace and ultimately progression of an industry, the eventual impact and benefits noticeably outweigh the initial time and cost within industry adoption, adaptation and development. Architecture and design is not immune to this phenomenon; from computational 2D and 3D modeling, BIM and cloud based data to physical prototyping with 3D printing, laser cutting and automated CNC routing, these are a few select examples that has forced the industry of design to rethink processes, possibilities and realistic opportunities where none existed prior.  One such system that fits into this category is the advent of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality. The numerous possibilities to which these visually and spatially immersive systems opportune for immense innovation often lacks direction or an ultimate goal thus rendering this piece of software to often be little more than a visualisation tool.  This thesis recognises the unique position that VR allows and seeks to interrogate and deconstruct current, traditional design processes to better utilise VR in aiding and reinforcing the idea of partial testing of ideas and concepts throughout the design cycle. Different sciences such as psychology, processes and automation from computational design and considerations within software development will be employed and injected into the broader architectural context in which this research presides. In addition to the VR headset, external hardware that better capture human metrics such as EEG, eye tracking, GSR will be considered to developed a seamless tool and workflow that allows us, as designers to better interrogate clients behaviour within our designed digital representations which leads to validations, evaluations and criticisms of our actions within the architectural realm.</p>

Reflection has been increasingly used to enhance student development in higher education, in both undergraduate and postgraduate studies. Learner autonomy is essential on reflection, particularly on how learners interpret their learning experiences. The learner has to take initiatives in making meaning of their learning by examining their experiences, and purposefully exploring their learning. Reflection is a key component in active learning as students actively engage in the process of thinking about what they have learnt or experienced. Mezirow highlighted how reflection can mean many things, including awareness of a perception, thought, feeling, intention and action, taking something into consideration or simply imagining alternatives. And there are also multiple approaches to embracing reflection today, such as reflective essays, videos and online blogs, where reflective processes and approaches may differ particularly in relation to technological adoption. In a learning environment, reflective approaches are adopted with the aim for learners to transfer knowledge and experiences to practice. However, there is scarce literature on student perception of the different reflective approaches. The present paper therefore examines student perspectives on four different reflective approaches and how these different approaches are applied within the context of higher education. The four approaches chosen are written, audio, video and face-to-face based on current literature on how reflection is documented or presented in education) and the integration of the concept of multimodality.

Abstract Corn is vital crop cultivation in Gorontalo Province and becomes major export comodity from the agricultural sector. Most of corn farms are located in hilly and mountainous area known as sloping agriculture. The main aim of this study was to analyze the advantages of portable combine machine, peeling-thresher corn as appropriate technology, to support sloping agriculture, reduce cost production, and generate farmers income. This research was conducted in Tutuwoto village that involves two farmers group association (POKTAN) namely POKTAN Dusun Beringin and POKTAN Dusun Puncak. The POKTAN members stated that labour budget is the most expensive for corn production in their region. Dissemination of peeling-thresher machine is proven shorten of harvest and post-harvest steps in the current pattern. Results revealed that the technological input decreased 34.50% operational cost of harvest and post-harvest from Rp8,520,000 to Rp2,940,000. Furthermore, its application improved the farmers net profit 51.67% ha−1 and 85.01% ha−1 for own and loan capital respectively, in one growing season about 4 month. It is concluded that the proper equipment implemented in hilly farming reduces cost production and its implication redoubles revenue of the corn farmers.

The rise of digital technologies and their educational applications increasingly require the development of digital skills among university faculty. This study focuses on examining the level of digital competencies of university faculty and identifying their conditioning factors. To achieve this objective, an ex post facto methodological design with surveys is used. A sample of 216 university teachers from different regions of Ecuador was used. The non-parametric Chi-square test was used to validate the hypothesis of independence of the variables. The results obtained show that university faculty have a mostly intermediate level of digital skills, which is independent of gender, but dependent on the generational cohort. In particular, it is found that younger teachers (millennials) have a more advanced level of digital skills, although this relationship is not very strong. On the other hand, we observe the positive influence of the university’s strategic leadership in terms of technological adoption on the development of teachers’ digital skills. Universities with better technological resources and with training plans focused on the pedagogical application of technology have teachers with a more advanced level of digital skills. All of this leads to the recommendation that education policies should prioritise actions that promote the development of digital competencies among university faculty

This study was deemed relevant in the current epoch given the need for rebuilding enterprises that were devastated by the Covid-19 pandemic. To ensure economic restoration, particular interest in small business start-ups and incubators has become especially important. In addition, measurements for effectiveness are critical since, without them, progress cannot be ascertained. The aim of this study was to assess the balanced scorecard and its applicability to business incubators in the context of the present technological explosion. Specifically, the study assessed the technological dimension of the balanced scorecard with the particular intention of establishing how technological tools affect the balanced scorecard. The study was based on phenomenological interviews to provide data that were relevant to the study objectives. A thematic analysis of the data collected supported literature perspectives that technological tools and platforms such as social media, robotics, expert systems, online as well as web platforms strengthen and improve the measurement of both financial and non-financial criteria for measurement on the balanced scorecard. Technological tools were found to improve data collection, management, and analytics thereby improving the quality and credibility of balanced scorecard measurement. The study recommends the accelerated adoption of technological tools for use within the balanced scorecard among incubators. It also recommends that the government should support incubators in their technological adoption measures as this has the potential of increasing economic development.

The purpose of this study is to examine the communicative relationship between older adults and conversational agents (CA), such as a Google Home Mini, to understand if and how interaction with AI-based voice technology affects perceptions, technological adoption, and, ultimately, human-machine communicative behaviors. Using the Communication Accommodation Theory (CAT) framework (Gallois & Giles, 2015), and the categorical schema as outlined in the Unified Theory of Adoption and Utilization of Technology (UTAUT) model (Venkatesh et al., 2003) of technology acceptance, we qualitatively assess the relationship between expectations for use and ongoing / post-interaction user attitudes. CAT focuses on the adjustments we make in our perceptions of and engagement in communicative behaviors. In other words, we enter into communicative situations with intentions and motivations derived from antecedent socio-historical context in mind. This squares with what the UTAUT model details as influencers of technological adoption and use: performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions (Venkatesh et al., 2003). We use these constructs as a coding guideline to index data scraped from the Mini, and collected from surveys, interview transcripts, user journals, and field notes throughout a 10-week study. Historically, CAT is applied to human-human communication exchanges. As the theory posits that interpersonal relationships can and will influence motivations or intentions for dyadic communication, this makes sense. However, we argue that as AI-based voice technologies become more sophisticated as voice assistants enter our intimate spaces, the application of CAT to the human-machine communicative relationship is warranted.
