In the event of a large-scale disaster, the dissemination of audible disaster warning information via sirens is effective in ensuring a rapid response. Sirens can be installed not only on fixed towers, but also on public transport and other vehicles passing through residential areas, and at spots where residents congregate, to increase area coverage. Although models to calculate the spatial coverage of audible information delivered from fixed sirens have been constructed, no general-purpose model has been developed to assess the delivery from vehicles. In this study, we focused on the General Transit Feed Specification (GTFS), which is an open format for geospatial information on public transport. We conducted a spatial analysis using a geographic information system (GIS) on the basis of the acquired bus location information. We developed a model to calculate the spatial coverage of the audible information delivery for overlapping hazard maps and population. Assuming a flood occurred in the vicinity of Brisbane Central Station, Queensland, Australia, we confirmed that the developed model was capable of characterizing the time-series changes in the exposed population in the target area. Since the GTFS format is currently distributed across various countries, this assessment model is considered to be highly versatile and widely applicable.

Abstract Shuttle breeding is a breeding system where generations undergo sequential evaluations at different locations, developed by N. Borlaug. Our study aims to demonstrate an opportunity of application shuttle breeding method in sunflower lines development and also to show its advantages and disadvantages. Experiments were mainly conducted at the Central Station (Krasnodar) of All-Russia Research Institute of Oil Crops (VNIIMK). Krasnodar region is situated in the Southern part of Russia near the Black Sea. Part of our work was made at Seed and Plant Improvement Institute (Karaj, Iran) and Experimental Station near Borozdjan (Busher Province of Iran). Released and experimental sunflower hybrids and lines of VNIIMK breeding were used as a material. The experimental design was randomized blocks with three replications. Each replication had four rows and two central rows were analyzed only to exclude the border effect. It is shown that the application of the shuttle breeding technique to sunflower was highly successful and results in elite line development.

This paper discusses asynchronous distributed inference in object tracking. Unlike many studies, which assume that the delay in communication between partial estimators and the central station is negligible, our study focuses on the problem of asynchronous distributed inference in the presence of delays. We introduce an efficient data fusion method for combining the distributed estimates, where delay in communications is not negligible. To overcome the delay, predictions are made for the state of the system based on the most current available information from partial estimators. Simulation results show the efficacy of the methods proposed.

BACKGROUND Assessment of the results of large-scale rapid antigen diagnostic (RAD) testing for detection of SARS-CoV-2 amongst incoming passengers was carried out by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) Dental College Students at the Central Railway Station of Ahmedabad city. We wanted to determine the sensitivity and specificity of RAD testing for detection of Covid-19 amongst passengers disembarking from scheduled trains arriving at the Central Railway Terminus of Ahmedabad city. METHODS Under the campaign “Chase the Virus” launched by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), Interns & Final Year students of AMC Dental College were trained to carry out rapid antigen testing of scheduled trains running on special routes starting from 07 / 09 / 2020 to 05 / 10 / 2020. 14 dental teams were deputed at a temporary testing facility formulated for day-to-day testing at the Central Station using the standalone Standard - Q Covid-19 Ag testing kit (SD Biosensor, South Korea). RESULTS In total, 18901 travellers were tested in a span of 26 days out of which 324 tested positive with an overall percentage positivity of 1.71 %. An average number of 727 (± 182) tests were performed with an overall sensitivity of 66.01 % and specificity of 99.71 %. CONCLUSIONS In response to the growing Covid-19 pandemic and complexity of laboratory-based molecular tests, rapid antigen detection tests have proved to be efficient in the easier and faster diagnosis of the passengers in such point of care settings. KEY WORDS Rapid Antigen Detection Test, Covid-19, SARS-CoV-2

Due to the wide range of applications in public and military domains, wireless sensor network (WSN) is evolving as a popular technology. This WSN consists of a large number of sensors that are spread across a geographical area thatare self-configuring in nature. These nodes are of low cost and resource-constrained nodes. Because these reasons the network becomes vulnerable to many network attacks. There are many types of attacks among which one of the serious attacks is the sinkhole attack, which is one of the destructive routing attacks. It causes the adversary node to attract all or most of the traffic from the neighbors by broadcasting false routing updates of having the shortest path to the central station. This paper is a survey on various methods implemented to overcome sinkhole attacks like Hop Count Monitoring scheme, Key Management Approach, Message-Digest Algorithm.

There is a global trend towards an increase in the weight and dimensions of the aircraft fleet. At the same time, the load on aerodrome pavements increases, which contributes to their faster wear, changes in the pavement profile, and the appearance of defects that threaten flight safety. Therefore, constant monitoring of the condition of airfield pavements is carried out, in particular, the determination of its profile. A robotic complex has been developed for leveling the runway. The complex includes mobile leveling devices, mobile leveling rods, which are located on the runway during the performance of leveling, and a control device located at the central control station of technical systems of the airport. The control device contains the following blocks: control with a monitor; processing and storage of infor- mation; an intelligent subsystem with a set of logistics programs; geographic information system with GPS receiver; signal coding; reception and transmission of radio signals. Mobile levelers and mobile leveling rods are controlled from the central station and transmit coded information to the central station via radio communication channels. The mobile leveling rod is similar in design to a mobile leveling device due to the absence of a rangefinder measurement unit, a turning unit and the optoelectronic device itself. The movement of robotic mobile leveling devices and sighting targets with stops for measurements is carried out according to a pre-compiled program transmitted via coded radio communication channels. For the initial ones, the marks of the benchmarks are used, the horizontal plates of which are laid flush with the surface of the runway at its lateral ends, along which the steps of precise leveling are preliminarily laid. The proposed robotic complex allows to quickly determine the marks of the runway in automatic mode with an adjustable scanning step and build longitudinal and transverse surface profiles.
