Abstract In order to describe the micro motion between the connection number components and seek a more applicable evaluation model, quantitatively evaluate and analyze regional water resources carrying capacity (WRCC). Firstly, an evaluation index system and grade standards of regional WRCC were constructed. Then, a method for determining the connection number was proposed, which considered the micro motion between the connection number components in system structure. Finally, built an evaluation model based on set pair analysis (SPA) and partial connection number (PCN) that used subtraction set pair potential (SPP) to identify vulnerability factors, and identification results were compared with total partial connection number (TPCN). The model was applied to Huaibei City, Anhui Province, China. The results showed that: the WRCC grade value was between 2 and 3 that was poor; the support and regulation subsystem grade value was between 2 and 3, and the pressure subsystem grade value was between 1 and 2. SPP identified that the support force and regulation force subsystem were the vulnerable subsystems. Eight indexes such as water resources per capita, rate of ecological water consumption and density of population were the main indicators causing the poor WRCC, which were in good agreement with the local measured data. In addition, the SPP and TPCN are compared to further verify rationality of the connection number determination method and reliability of the identification results. The model established in this paper has strong applicability and can also be used for the dynamic evaluation of other resources, environment and ecological carrying capacity. The results in this study can provide a scientific basis for water resources management and decision-making.

AbstractThe thesis pseudofinite structures and counting dimensions is about the model theory of pseudofinite structures with the focus on groups and fields. The aim is to deepen our understanding of how pseudofinite counting dimensions can interact with the algebraic properties of underlying structures and how we could classify certain classes of structures according to their counting dimensions. Our approach is by studying examples. We treat three classes of structures: The first one is the class of H-structures, which are generic expansions of existing structures. We give an explicit construction of pseudofinite H-structures as ultraproducts of finite structures. The second one is the class of finite difference fields. We study properties of coarse pseudofinite dimension in this class, show that it is definable and integer-valued and build a partial connection between this dimension and transformal transcendence degree. The third example is the class of pseudofinite primitive permutation groups. We generalise Hrushovski’s classical classification theorem for stable permutation groups acting on a strongly minimal set to the case where there exists an abstract notion of dimension, which includes both the classical model theoretic ranks and pseudofinite counting dimensions. Abstract Background:Unilateral absence of pulmonary artery is a rare congenital disorder that can remain asymptomatic until adulthood. Absence of right pulmonary artery (ARPA) has been reported in two-thirds of this patient population.It may be isolated, but it is more often associated with other congenital cardiac defects such as aortic coarctation, tetralogy of Fallot, atrial septal defect and patent ductus arteriosus.Case presentation: We are the first to introduce an adult case of ARPA with pulmonary valve stenosis(PVS) and associated with partial connection of descending aorta.We investigated the condition by right heart catheterization,right ventricle angiography, pulmonary arteriography and aorta angiography. According to the above results,we suggest that surgical treatment should be positively consideredConclusions: The case remind that echocardiography combined with detailed imaging examination is very important for the diagnosis of complex congenital heart disease and provide the basis for the selection of the best treatment.

Sexually explicit material (SEM) is easily accessed by adolescents. This cross-sectional study examined the characteristics of 413 Italian adolescents (aged 17-22, 55% female) who use SEM. We examined the associations of SEM use with relationship status, religiosity, and emotional intelligence. All of the respondents reported accessing SEM while underage, with males using SEM more than females and accessing SEM at an earlier age; earlier exposure to SEM was also found to influence later SEM use. The reasons for watching pornography also differed be-tween the genders. There was a partial connection between the EQ-I:YV, SEM use, and recent sexual activity. The gender differences in terms of the prevalence and reasons for the use of SEM may be connected to a more general gender cultural stereotype.

With the increasing adoption of the Internet-of-Things (IoT), the wireless sensors network (WSN), as an underlying application of IoT, has attracted increasing attention. Topology, the working structure used to observe WSN, is the most instinctive form in troubleshooting and has great significance to WSN management and safety. To this end, it is imperative to recover WSN topology for the purpose of network management and non-cooperative network detection. Traditional network topology recovery mainly relies on the monitoring modules installed in nodes, or an extra network attached. However, these two approaches have several limitations, such as high energy consumption for monitoring nodes, time synchronization problems, reuse failure, limitation to specific targeted networks and high cost. In this paper, we present a new approach to recover the topology of WSN that adopts location-based routing protocols, based on movable platforms. Our observation is that the network topology is consistent with the node routing, as the nodes choose the next hop according to the geological position of neighbor nodes. Hence, we calculate the cost parameters of choosing routing nodes for the targeted network according to the partial connection of the nodes. Based on those cost parameters, we can determine the topology of the whole network. More specifically, by collecting the geological position and data packets of the nodes from movable platforms, we are able to infer the topology of the WSN according to the recovered partial connection of nodes. Our approach can be easily adopted to many scenarios, especially for non-cooperative large-scale networks. The evaluation of 30 simulations shows that the accuracy of recovery is above 90%.

Timber connection capacity, in case of beam-column joint connection provides significant impact on the wooden building structures. Strength and stiffness of timber connections using reinforcement technique of wooden building structures have not been studied intensively. This paper studies the use of nails and modified-washer to improve wood connection’s performance. The experimental tests were conducted in the laboratory by comparing the partial connection between test specimen timber without reinforcement (standard type) and the reinforcement (PRP type). The testing was conducted based on partial connection beam-column joint test using Universal Testing Machine’s with a modified holder. Wood studied includes Meranti (Shorea spp.) and Mersawa (Anisoptera spp.). PRP type connection was using nails and modified-washer strengthening, and standard type connection was using a classic washer. Parameters studied were strength and stiffness of the connection, reviewed both: proportional limit load and ultimate limit load conditions. Result obtained from this research indicates that the use of nails and modified-washer make a positive contribution to improving the performance of the beam- column timber joint connections, in terms of strength capacity (both of proportional limit and ultimate limit loads) and stiffness capacity (displacement ductility ratio). Meranti beam-column timber joint is more brittle than Mersawa beam column timber joint, it has an impact on the results. PRP-type of Mersawa timber connection produces a higher ductility than the standard type, while the PRP-type of Meranti timber connection produces a similar ductility to the standard type.

We study a family of ultraproducts of finite fields with the Frobenius automorphism in this paper. Their theories have the strict order property and TP2. But the coarse pseudofinite dimension of the definable sets is definable and integer-valued. Moreover, we establish a partial connection between coarse dimension and transformal transcendence degree in these difference fields.
