Studying the behavior of cuttings transport under various conditions using experimental observations and computational fluid dynamics is the main method for analyzing the influence of cuttings, fluid and operating parameters on well cleaning. Despite the existing abundant models and recommendations of researchers, still there are problems with the accuracy of determining the cuttings layer height, critical velocity and other key parameters, which complicates the task of effective solution of the problem of borehole cleaning. The purpose of the study is to analyze the models obtained via the organization of a full factorial experiment and variance analysis to identify the influence of such factors as viscosity and flow rate of the drilling fluid in the annular space and the inclination angle of the well on the degree of cuttings transport. The studies of the kind are carried out using special devices called flow loops. Experimental data were taken from literature sources. To organize a full factorial experiment, the data of the dependent variable were combined into a combinational square, which simplified the coding of factor values. After setting the full factorial experiment, the models were obtained that made it possible to assess the contribution of the studied factors to the process of destruction product removal within the intervals determined while setting the research tasks. The obtained models allowed to determine the influence degree of each of the factors on the process under investigation. The results of the succeeding analysis of variance confirmed the indicated degree of influence and determined the rank of each of the factors in percentage.

This article discusses the determination of the optimal design allowances for a full factorial experiment in the development of special-purpose clothing for patients with thermal injuries in a hospital. To assess the ergonomic performance of special-purpose clothing, was used of pressure exerted by clothing on the human body. Based on the results of the study, a mathematical model was developed based on a full factorial experiment. In accordance with the presented mathematical models, the minimum values of contact pressures are obtained for the following values of construction parameters: for a cut with a sewn-in sleeve Warmhole = 15 cm, Ifa = 5,0 cm, Ic = 9 cm, Hse = 10 cm; for a cut with a raglan sleeve Warmhole = 15 cm, Ifa = 6 cm, Ic = 10 cm; for a cut with a one-piece sleeve Warmhole = 16 cm, Ifa = 6 cm, Ic = 11 cm.

The research was carried out to optimize parameters for evaluating an improved motorize maize sheller. Statistical analysis was performed using response surface methodology (RSM) with 3 by 3 factorial experiment with 3 replicates. The three parameters are speed (850 rpm, 950 rpm and 1100 rpm), moisture content (12, 15, and 17%) and feed rate (120 kg h-1, 130 kg h-1 and 140 kg h-1) used to illustrate the ability of the machine to shell maize (throughput capacity, shelling rate and machine efficiency). Results obtained showed that for optimum throughput capacity of 630.97 kg h-1; shelling rate 485.34 kg h-1 and machine efficiency 93.86% of the machine; is maximum for 129.6 kg h-1 feed rate and moisture content 16.49% and machine speed of 1026.9 rpm. The machine can be used on commercial farms with these operational results.

Abstract The impact of local thresher machine on maize Syn12 cultivar was tested at two CL - 0.5, and 0.7 mm at three ranges of MOI - 16%, 18%, and 21%. The experiments were conducted in a factorial experiment under a complete randomized design with three replications. The CL- 0.7 mm was significantly more than CL -0.5 mm in all studied parameters. While the corn grain moisture content at a range of 16% was significantly superior compared to the other ranges (18 and 21%) in all parameters. For the CL -0.7mm and MOI 16%, the PP,PR,TE,BR,PCG,WG and GC were 1.566 t.hr-1and 1.715 t.hr-1, 9.155 Kw and 9.028 Kw, 86.009% and 89.587%; 3.228% and 3.064%;2.184% and 2.013; 81.14% and 81.69%and 90.743% and 91.587%, respectively.

Abstract The experiment was conducted in the Directorate of Agriculture in Najaf during the agricultural season 2020-2021 to know the effect of Foliar application of thiamine and Roselle extract on the chemical parameters of the Mathiola plant(Matthiola incana L).The experiment included two factors, the first is thiamine at four concentrations (90,60,30,0) mg.L-1. The second is Roselle extract at four concentrations (0,2,4,6) g.L-1, a factorial experiment was conducted consisting of three replicates, the experiment was conducted based on the Randomized Complete Block Design (R.C.B.D) 4×4×3=48, The results can be summarized that thiamine at a concentration of 90 mg.L-1 with Roselle extract at a concentration of 6.4 g.L-1 when sprayed on the plant led to a significant increase in the study parameters as the leaves content of total chlorophyll and nitrogen phosphorous potassium, boron and the total soluble carbohydrate content of the leaves and the anthocyanin content of the flowers were increased reached to 57.27 mg.100 g-1 and 2.45% and 0.29% and 2.96% and 13.72 mg.kg-1 and 18.10 mg.g-1 respectively.

Abstract The experiment was conducted in high school of Al-Hilla agricultural for the summer and autumn season 2020 to study the effect of humic acid and foliar application of gibberellin and tryptophan acid on the growth of the goldenrods plant resulting from the cultivation of solidago candasis which took it from residues of plant seeds growing. However, the first factor was humic acid, plants treated with humic acid were (H0 control, H1=5 ml/L), the second factor was the foliar application of gibberellin acid with the two levels (G1=100 mg/liter, G2=200 mg/L) and third factor was tryptophan acid with two three levels (T0=without treated, T1=100 mg/L, T2=150 mg/L). The experiment was conducted as a factorial experiment (2×3×3) with split-plot design according to the randomized complete blocks design (R.C.B.D) with three replicates. The results showed that humic acid fertilization improved the studied characteristics of the goldenrods plant. While treatment with gibberellin acid at concentration of 100 mg/liter due to improve the number of branches, leaf area and the number of inflorescences and the percentage of carbohydrates, whereas, treatment with concentration of 200 mg/liter leds to improve of plant height, length of inflorescence and vase life. As for the treatment with tryptophan acid, the concentration 150 mg/L improved all the studied parameters.

Abstract To improve understanding of how interventions work or why they do not work, there is need for methods of testing hypotheses about the causal mechanisms underlying the individual and combined effects of the components that make up interventions. Factorial mediation analysis, i.e., mediation analysis applied to data from a factorial optimization trial, enables testing such hypotheses. In this commentary, we demonstrate how factorial mediation analysis can contribute detailed information about an intervention’s causal mechanisms. We briefly review the multiphase optimization strategy (MOST) and the factorial experiment. We use an empirical example from a 25 factorial optimization trial to demonstrate how factorial mediation analysis opens possibilities for better understanding the individual and combined effects of intervention components. Factorial mediation analysis has important potential to advance theory about interventions and to inform intervention improvements.
