The nursing profession has the widest range of opportunities, but the unawareness and ignorance of nurses are making them be at a dependent level only rather than independent. In most of the scenarios, administrative nurses, health care policymakers, and administrators of institutions and agencies, make and implement roles and activities for nurses to fulfill the aims of medicine and institutional bureaucracy. This problem 'forces' nursing to travel a dependent path. A view is set forth that the problem stems from the collective failure of nursing to articulate and implement a function and product distinct from that of medicine and other professions. Making this distinction is critical to the charting of an independent path. Nursing's past and present are examined in terms of the service nursing does provide for society. This paper deals with the various emerging job opportunities for nurses and ways to choose the best working environment for career advancement. Keywords: Teaching Role, Clinical Role, Research Role, Entrepreneur Role, Indian Nursing Council, Migration.

Between 1950 and the mid-1980s, several African countries adopted socialist systems of government. In the first decades of independence, socialism appealed to some African leaders both as a political ideology and as an economic system. Socialism represented the promise of a new anti-imperial, revolutionary, and independent path to national and continental development. The socialist policies adopted in African countries included centralized state control of the economy, collectivization of land and agriculture, the nationalization of key sectors of the economy, and public sector–led social development. From Ghana to Algeria, and from Tanzania to Egypt, these socialist policies brought significant economic and social changes with mixed results. The end of the Cold War in the 1990s, and the wave of pro-democracy movements that followed, signaled the end of socialist experimentation in Africa. However, the legacies of socialist economic planning persist across the continent.

The stress–strain behaviors of viscoelastic materials are often simulated using a model composed of various combinations of springs and dampers. With the increase in the number of springs and dampers, the viscoelastic characteristics of the model will approach those of the actual material. This study discusses how to obtain the differential constitutive equation of a viscoelastic model composed of any number of springs and dampers. First, the general viscoelastic model is regarded as the combination of various Kelvin units. The viscoelastic model is then transformed into a digraph. Based on the relationships between the independent path of the digraph and the strain equation of the viscoelastic model and between the closed enclosure and the stress equation, the derivation of the constitutive equation is transformed into operations involving the incidence matrix of the digraph. Finally, the coefficients of the linear differential operator of the constitutive equation of the viscoelastic model can be obtained by block matrix operations. This method is suitable for computer programming and has a certain significance for accurately constructing viscoelastic models of engineering materials.

A ventilation network feature graph can directly and quantitatively represent the features of a ventilation network. To ensure the stability of airflow in a mine and improve ventilation system analysis, we propose a new algorithm to draw ventilation network feature graphs. The independent path method serves as the algorithm’s main frame, and an improved adaptive genetic algorithm is embedded so that the graph may be drawn better. A mathematical model based on the node adjacency matrix method for unidirectional circuit discrimination is constructed as the drawing algorithm may not be valid in such cases. By modifying the edge-seeking strategy, the improved depth-first search algorithm can be used to determine all of the paths in the ventilation network with unidirectional circuits, and the equivalent transformation method of network topology relations is used to draw the ventilation network feature graph. Through the analysis of the topological relation of a ventilation network, a simplified mathematical model is constructed, and network simplification technology makes the drawing concise and hierarchical. The rapid and intuitive drawing of the ventilation network feature graphs is significant for optimization of the ventilation system and day-to-day management.

Abstract In order to determine how an electromagnetic wave propagates from a base station to a cell phone or a wirelessly connected device, we use a novel Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) mapping technology to map the cellular network coverage at various altitudes in various terrains (flat, hilly, mountainous). For the flat terrains, the waves are shown to propagate ballistically: They have an altitude independent path loss consistent with minimal scatter in the propagation from transmitter to (aerial) receiver. In mountainous terrain, the waves are shown to propagate in the diffuse regime, and demonstrate a 10 dB increase in received signal intensity per 100′ of altitude gain, up to 400′. In the intermediate case, evidence of coherent wave interference is clearly observed in altitude independent interference patterns. These general observations can be used to build a physical or empirical model for drone-to-ground and drone-to-drone propagation, for which existing models are shown to fail. While important for building physical models of wave propagation in wireless networks, this method can be used more generally to determine the magnitude and phase of an electromagnetic wave at every point in space, as well as usher in the era of drone-to-ground and drone-to-drone communications.

This chapter illustrates how Singapore has transformed dramatically since the 1960s with politics that still rested on foundations which Lee Kuan Yew laid. It talks about Lee Kuan Yew's consolidated leadership that regrouped Singapore quickly after 1965. Lee and his People's Action Party (PAP) claimed the added legitimacy of being founding parents, charting Singapore's independent path. The chapter also describes how Singapore throws into sharp relief the patterns seen in Malaysia, as opposition parties have had far less chance to make their mark. Not only has the PAP changed over time but it has changed Singapore's political culture, including how voters understand politics, assess politicians, and approach the regime.

In every country, the school of classical dance, as the foundation for the training of ballet dancers, has its own specific features. The late twentieth century, in most countries an independent path for the development of ballet art and the structuring of professional ballet education have been determined. Nowadays European ballet schools have almost the same structure of choreographic education, and in the countries that have undergone totalitarian regimes and economic and political isolation, other ballet system are mostly used. A separate branch in the overall system of ballet education is Eastern School that has not had a clear standardized system of education yet, but has already ranked in the overall structure of the world educational process and trains European-level performers. The current system of professional ballet education should be analyzed in the light of the experience of national, artistic and educational traditions, as this leads to excellent training, which is not scientifically substantiated in this context. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to identify the characteristic features of different schools and to carry out their comparative analysis. The aim is achieved by identifying the leading countries providing training at the above schools and formulating basic criteria for the comparative analysis of the structure and results of ballet education. Thus, for the first time, an attempt is made to identify the distinctive features and identities in the systems of training of ballet dancers in different schools, taking into account national, artistic and educational traditions. The comparative analysis has made it possible to determine the features of modern professional ballet education, which are specified by: national dance traditions built-in the system of primary education, state cultural policy, systematic training and mastering additional types of dance. All this determines the effectiveness of ballet training, and enables to distinguish the features of performing technique and ballet style, gives artists the opportunity to represent their skills in academic or contemporary ballet repertoire.
