The article is devoted to the study of hardiness as a systemic concept and to expand the understanding of the features of individual manifestations of personality vitality. The concept of hardiness, developed by S. Muddy, includes three parameters: inclusion, control, risk-taking. In our study, individual manifestations of the vitality of the individual were identified by the characteristics of willpower, temperament, character traits, emotional sphere and self-esteem. The study is based on the concept of personality as an integral individual V.S. Merlin. In concept personality has certain levels: individual properties, individual mental properties, personal properties and the general level of integral individuality. According to these levels, individual personality traits were selected to determine the manifestations of hardiness. On the basis of cluster and analysis of variance, three levels of vitality are distinguished and individual personality traits are found accordingly. The obtained data allowed to describe the individual features of hardiness personalities: type of temperament, willpower, features of the emotional sphere, self-attitude and the most developed positive character traits.

This article discusses the results of an empirical, comprehensive study of interpersonal relationships and self-relation of older people. Special attention is paid tointerpersonal needs. The author notes, in the age group of elderly people, the presence of all kinds of interpersonal needs, inclusion, control, affect. This is not observed in the middle and senile age groups. The age interrelation between interpersonal relations and self-attitude of elderly people is found out. The study found correlations characteristic of the age group of the elderly and other age groups, namely: the similarity of the correlations of the elderly and middle-aged and elderly and senile. The most important need characteristic of older persons as the need for "inclusion"was also identified.

The characteristics of inclusions and microstructure in heat-affected zones (HAZs) of steel plates with Ca deoxidation after high heat input welding of 400 kJ·cm−1 were investigated through simulated welding experiments and inclusions automatic analyzer systems. Typical inclusions in HAZs of steels containing 11 ppm and 27 ppm Ca were recognized as complex inclusions with the size in the range of 1~3 μm. They consisted of central Al2O3 and peripheral CaS + MnS with TiN distributing at the edge (Al2O3 + CaS + MnS + TiN). With increasing Ca content in steel, the average size of inclusions decreased from 2.23 to 1.46 μm, and the number density increased steadily from 33.7 to 45.0 mm−2. Al2O3 + CaS + MnS + TiN complex inclusions were potent to induce the formation of intragranular acicular ferrite (IAF). Therefore, the HAZ toughness of steel plates after high heat input welding was improved significantly by utilizing oxide metallurgy technology with Ca deoxidation.

The purpose of the present article is to investigate the role of emotional intelligence in managing interpersonal relations at workplace in the IT sector of India. Based on the facts obtained from the literature review, the article aims to establish a relationship between the variables of emotional intelligence and their corresponding effect on interpersonal relations which consists of parameters namely the need for inclusion, control and affection. The article initially explores emotional intelligence and interpersonal relations and thereafter specifically finds out the relationship between the variables involved. Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation-Behaviour (FIRO-B) instrument and Schutte Self-Report Emotional Intelligence Test have been used to explore the relationship. The article uses the sample of 81 employees that covered most of the major IT companies with the same size, structure, practises and environment in order to get a uniform respondent set. The age of the respondents varied from 21 to 29 years of age and the work experience varied from 6 months to as high as 5 years. From the analysis done in the study it can be suggested that emotional intelligence plays a significant role in managing and maintaining the healthy relations at workplace in the IT sector.

AbstractLarge and hard inclusions often deteriorate the service performance and reduce the fatigue lifetime of drill rods. In this paper, the main reasons of the rupture of drill rods were analyzed by the examination of their fracture and it is found that the large inclusions were the main reason of breakage of rod drill. The inclusions were high of Ca content or Al2O3 rich. Smaller and better deformability inclusions were obtained by the optimization of refining slag, calcium treatment process and the flow control devices of tundish. Results of industrial experiment after optimization show that total oxygen content of drill rods decreased by more than 50%, macro-inclusions weight fraction decreased from about 4 mg/10 kg to about 0.3 mg/10 kg and the micro-inclusions average size decreased from 6 to 3.6 μm. The average using times of drill rods after optimization were increased by about 60%.
