The raising accessibility of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), colloquially known as drones, is rapidly increasing. Recent studies have discussed challenges that may come in tow with the growing use of this technology. These studies note that in-depth examination is required, especially when addressing challenges that carry a high volume of software data between sensors, actuators, and control commands. This work underlines static and live digital evidence traceability challenges to further enhance the UAV incident response plan. To study the live UAV forensic traceability issues, we apply the `purple-teaming’ exercise on small UAVs while conducting UAV forensic examination to determine technical challenges related to data integrity and repeatability. In addition, this research highlights current static technical challenges that could pose more challenges in justifying the discovered digital evidence. Additionally, this study discusses potential drone anti-forensic techniques and their association with the type of use, environment, attack vector, and level of expertise. To this end, we propose the UAV Kill Chain and categorize the impact and complexity of all highlighted challenges based on the conducted examination and the presented scientific contribution in this work. To the best of our knowledge, there has not been any contribution that incorporates `Purple-Teaming’ tactics to evaluate UAV-related research in cybersecurity and digital forensics. This work also proposes a categorization model that classifies the discovered UAV static and live digital evidence challenges based on their complexity and impact levels

With increasing amounts of information, the image information received by people also increases exponentially. To perform fine-grained categorization and recognition of images and visual calculations, this study combines the Visual Geometry Group Network 16 model of convolutional neural networks and the vision attention mechanism to build a multi-level fine-grained image feature categorization model. Finally, the TensorFlow platform is utilized to simulate the fine-grained image classification model based on the visual attention mechanism. The results show that in terms of accuracy and required training time, the fine-grained image categorization effect of the multi-level feature categorization model constructed by this study is optimal, with an accuracy rate of 85.3% and a minimum training time of 108 s. In the similarity effect analysis, it is found that the chi-square distance between Log Gabor features and the degree of image distortion show a strong positive correlation; in addition, the validity of this measure is verified. Therefore, through the research in this study, it is found that the constructed fine-grained image categorization model has higher accuracy in image recognition categorization, shorter training time, and significantly better performance in similar feature effects, which provides an experimental reference for the visual computing of fine-grained images in the future.

The purpose of the article is to determine the principles of Robert MacLaury’s Vantage Theory and to review its application in various linguistic studies. Methods, used in the paper, include analysis and description, the application of which was conditioned by the task to distinguish the main tenets of the Vantage Theory and to present experience of its application in various linguistic studies. Results. A groundbreaking theory of R. MacLaury has overcome the lack of explanatory power of cognitive grammar and the prototype theory. The starting point of the Vantage Theory is the recognition that categorization takes place on analogy of human’s orientation on terrain with regard to movement. Adapted by primitive people for information processing, the cognitive mechanism of orientation in space and time is deeply rooted in human consciousness. Any category appears in comparison with images or other types of discrete ideas that correspond to fixed space-time coordinates to which observer’s attention is drawn while detecting similarities and differences in the object of perception. The categorization model consists of three levels, which correspond to a pair of fixed and variable coordinates. A person can focus on only one pair of coordinates at a time, others are stored in memory as proven facts, which become a prerequisite for inference and an integral part of the categorization model. Apart from numerous works on colour semantics, the theory is applied to address a wide range of issues in sociolinguistic studies, discourse analysis, cognitive grammar, etc. The theory is also applicable in the study of verbalized sociocultural stereotypes. The author of the article uses the Vantage Theory in the cognitive-linguistics study of sociocultural stereotypes in American media discourse. As verbalized, conventionally evaluative patterns of social groups, sociocultural stereotypes are formed in comparison with the ethical, behavioural, and aesthetic standards of American culture that act as fixed coordinates of mental space.Conclusions. The Vantage Theory of Robert MacLaury is a further step in the development of cognitive linguistics. The universality of this theory lies in its ability to explain many linguistic facts and therefore it can be applied in the study of a wide range of issues related to the linguistic representation of knowledge, such as concepts and stereotypes, which are categories of a verbalized picture of the world.Key words: vantage theory, categorization, space-time orientation, perspectivization, sociocultural stereotype.

Purpose This paper aims to identify and analyze the agtech classification and categorization systems in the Brazilian context. Design/methodology/approach The systematic literature review (SLR) was carried out according to the protocol of Kitchenham and Charters (2007). The classification systems found in literature were evaluated using the thinking aloud protocol, as proposed by Ericsson and Simon (1993). The responses obtained were evaluated through lexicographic analysis, described by Bécue-Bertaut (2019) and content analysis, described by Bardin (2011). Findings SLR identified four agtech classification systems. The model proposed by Dias, Jardim, and Sakuda (2019) was the one with the highest adherence to classify Brazilian agtechs. From the analysis of the systems found in literature, the authors proposed a new categorization model of agricultural startups (agtechs). Research limitations/implications The study has limitations in relation to the theoretical and empirical validation of the model proposed by the authors. This limitation can be the subject of subsequent research. Practical implications The SLR study considers the evolution of the classification systems of a new agribusiness reality, the agtechs. In addition, there is a practical contribution in proposing a new classification system that attempts to address some of the limitations found in previous studies. Originality/value Agtechs are startups focused on developing solutions for agriculture and have shown a significant increase in recent years. However, there are few studies focused on this type of company. Even rarer are the studies that seek to classify and categorize them. The present work opens the horizon for future studies focused on this new reality.

This chapter presents an innovative cost categorization model that can help understand costs in terms of their causes. The model incorporates categories that are now scattered in the literature, develops the categories more broadly, and connects with management control tools to monitor these costs. The model was applied in a Brazilian dairy company and made it possible for managers to discuss strategic aspects, hitherto not addressed in routine discussions. The model contributes to the literature by filling a gap in textbooks and contributes to practice by providing a cost categorization model, enabling the controller and finance professional to avoid arbitrary cost reductions, so common in times of crisis. However, they hinder the long-term performance of companies.

The paper analyzes the results of an experimental study of the preferences of logical and intuitive thinking of Udmurt and Russian students (a total of 121 people). In logical thinking, an object is selected from its context and assigned to categories based on necessary and sufficient functions, with the preferred use of rules, including rules of formal logic. Intuitive thinking based on life experience is characterized by integrity and contextuality with a dialectical resolution of obvious contradictions. The research program, developed on the basis of a conceptual categorization model, consisted of a training phase and an experiment phase. In the computer program, categorization “by rule” was performed by determining how much a new object satisfies a rule that defines categories by their necessary and sufficient characteristics; categorization “by pattern” - by similarity of the new object with existing samples. The experiment created a cognitive conflict between thought strategies. The experiment results show that Russian students prefer to classify objects “by rule” in case of positive and negative matches of characteristics, while Udmurt students prefer “by pattern” There were no significant cross-cultural differences between negative match indicators, when the images “according to the rule” were very similar to the training sample from the opposite category. The explanation of the obtained data was carried out in comparison with the “world pictures”, with their cognitive content about the ways of cognition of the surrounding world, embodied in the traditional values of peoples.

Exoskeletons are an essential part of humankind’s future. The first records regarding the subject were published several decades ago, and the field has been expanding ever since. Their developments will be imperative for humans in the coming decades due to our constant pursuit of physical enhancement, and the physical constraints the human body has. The principal purpose of this article is to formalize research in the field of exoskeletons and introduce the field to more researchers in hopes of expanding research in the area. Exoskeletons can assist and/or aid in the rehabilitation of a person. Recovery exoskeletons are mostly used in medical and research areas; performance exoskeletons can be used in any area. This systematic review explains the precedents of the exoskeletons and gives a general perspective on their general present-day use, and provides a general categorization model with a brief description of each category. Finally, this paper provides a discussion of the state-of-the-art, and the current control techniques used in exoskeletons.
