OF DIET KNOWLEDGE LEVELS AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES TOWARD NUTRITIONAL STATUS IN MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENT AbstractThis research is motivated by the many teenagers who do not know the selection of good nutrition and consider the concept of diet only to lose weight and habitual patterns of passive or sedentary physical activity in adolescents. This type of research is a descriptive study with cross sectional approach. The sample in this study were 45 students of SMAN 1 Yogyakarta. The variables studied were dietary knowledge, physical activity and nutritional status. The instrument used to measure dietary knowledge is to test the level of knowledge that has been validated, physical activity using the Global Physical Activity Questonnaire (GPAQ) and nutritional status with body mass index. Nutritional status is classified as good and bad nutritional status. Data processing was analyzed descriptively. The relationship of dietary knowledge and physical activity to nutritional status with the Chi Square method and Goodman Kruskall - Gamma Statistics. The results showed that there was a relationship between dietary knowledge and nutritional status in students of SMAN 1 Yogyakarta (r = 0.62: p = 0.01) and there was a relationship between physical activity and nutritional status in students of SMAN 1 Yogyakarta (r = 0.85; p = 0,000). It can be concluded that the higher the level of dietary knowledge and physical activity of students, the better the nutritional status.

Background: Frailty is increasingly common in community dwelling older adults and increases their risk of adverse outcomes. Risk assessment is implicit in the Aged Care Assessment Teams process, but few studies have considered the factors that influence the assessor’s decision making or explored the factors that may contribute to their interpretation of risk. Objective: to examine the inter-rater reliability of the Community Assessment of Risk Instrument (CARI), which is a new risk assessment instrument. Design: A cohort study was used. Setting and participants: A sample of 50 community dwelling older adults underwent comprehensive geriatric assessment by two raters: a geriatrician and a registered nurse. Procedure and measurements: Each participant was scored for risk by the two raters using the CARI. This instrument ranks risk of three adverse outcomes, namely i) institutionalisation, ii) hospitalisation and iii) death within the next year from a score of 1, which is minimal risk to 5, which is extreme risk. Inter-rater reliability was assessed with Gamma, Spearman correlation and Kappa statistics. Internal consistency was assessed with Cronbach’s alpha. Results: There were 30 female (mean age 82.23 years) and 20 male (mean age 81.75 years) participants. Items within domains showed good-excellent agreement. The gamma statistic was >0.77 on 6/7 Mental State items, 14/15 items in the Activities of Daily Living domain. In the Medical domain, 6/9 items had Gamma scores >0.80. The global domain scores correlated well, 0.88, 0.72 and 0.87. Caregiver network scores were 0.71, 0.73 and 0.51 for the three domains. Inter-rater reliability scores for global risk scales were 0.86 (institutionalisation) and 0.78 (death). The gamma statistic for hospitalisation was 0.29, indicative of lower inter-rater reliability. Cronbach’s alpha was 0.86 and 0.83 for the Activities of Daily Living domain, 0.51 and 0.42 for the Mental state domain and 0.23 and 0.10 for the Medical state domain. Conclusions: Overall, the instrument shows good inter-rater reliability. Poor correlations on some items relate to poor communication of clinical data and variable interpretation based on professional background. Lack of internal consistency in the medical condition domain confirms the discrete nature of these variables.

13 Background: Genomic assays are increasingly incorporated into treatment planning for pts with early stage BC to provide prognostic and/or predictive information. MP is a validated predictor of recurrence risk (RR) in pts without any treatment and RS is a validated predictor of RR in pts treated with 5 years of hormonal therapy (HT). Because concordance between RS and MP is largely unknown, we analyzed concordance in untreated pts that had both tests performed. Methods: Data are from 50 early stage BC pts treated at 4 US Oncology practices and the University of California, San Francisco. We used linear regression to test whether clinical features were related to discordance, measured as part of the gamma statistic. Results: Median age was 52.5 years, 16% (8 pts) had micro or macroscopic nodal involvement, and 66%, 30%, and 4% of pts had stage I, II, and III disease, respectively. All pts had estrogen receptor positive disease and 2 pts had HER2 overexpression by IHC or FISH. Concordance of MP and RS is shown below. Clinical features, including tumor size, grade, and HER2 were not significantly related to discordance. Gamma concordance was 0.64 (95% CI 0.28 to 0.98, p=0.0013). Conclusions: Concordance is high, mostly due to agreement in low risk scores. Five cases are truly discordant (MP low/RS intermediate or high) based on predicted outcomes. The 11 cases with high-risk MP with low risk RS may reflect endocrine sensitivity to 5 years of HT, or true discordance. Our identification of discordance should stimulate research to further clarify biology and elucidate the drivers of different types of risk. Large studies are underway to refine risk definition and treatment recommendations. [Table: see text]

Abstract Urinalysis is a high-volume procedure that currently requires significant labor to examine microscopic sediment. We evaluated the Sysmex UF-100 automated urinalysis analyzer for performing this task. Instrument accuracy was assessed by comparing continuous counts of microscopic elements from the UF-100 with ranges of cells (per low-power field or high-power field) from manual microscopy performed on centrifuged urines. Counts showed good agreement between methods (gamma statistic: 0.880–0.970) for all microscopic elements in 252 urine samples. Within-run imprecision of cell counts expressed as CV (mean cell count/μL) was for erythrocytes (RBC) 31% (5), 18% (50), 2.4% (800); for leukocytes (WBC) 14% (10), 11% (100), 8.5% (400); for squamous epithelial cells (SEC) 18% (5), 12% (30), 7.0% (100); for casts 45% (1), 17% (4); for bacteria 2–12% (entire range of 40–2500). Between-run imprecision on quality-control cell suspensions expressed as CV (mean cell count/μL) was for RBC 6.1% (50), 2.7% (256); for WBC 26.9% (54), 4.9% (228). Cells counted on dilution were 99.1% of expected for RBC, 102.0% for WBC, and 121.8% for bacteria. Carryover was <0.04% for RBC, <0.03% for WBC, <0.14% for SEC, <0.29% for bacteria. We conclude that the UF-100 can automatically perform reliable quantitative microscopic urinalysis in batches without operator interaction.
