The knowledge workers who form the core of the crew of a modern organization have emerged. They have a unique position in an enterprise, which complicates the incentive system building process and managers' formal impact on their activities. With a "deep-smarts" status, they adopt the attitudes that restrain or even intentionally hide knowledge flow. Providing support to organizational culture is crucial for motivating knowledge workers to contribute to an organization with their knowledge. This research paper is mainly aimed at identifying knowledge workers' preferences for organizational culture. The paper focuses on indicating the directions of the development of Polish IT companies' organizational culture in line with the attitudes of the professionals aiming to stimulate their involvement in the implementation of specific knowledge diffusion sub-processes. The paper is based upon the empirical research conducted on a sample of 105 IT sector knowledge workers in Poland in 2020.

The decision on immediate lockdown in India put economic, social and religious activities to a grinding halt. The paper examines the impact of the lockdown and social distancing policies on economic activities in India, using a multivariate econometric model for the data collected in the period from 1st January to 31st August 2020. While the social distancing policy is captured in terms of internal movement, domestic travel and international travel restrictions, its effect on the economic activity and the business activity is captured through stock prices, purchasing managers' index and the exchange rate. Confirmed COVID-19 cases and related deaths are also used as the independent variables. The results reveal a significant negative impact of social distancing policies on the economic activity and the business activity, the stock market and the exchange rate. Furthermore, the economic stimulus provided by the Government could not bring a positive influence on the stock market.

Communication is one of the processes that take place within a company. However, employees may be more or less satisfied with the communication that takes place in their work environment. Thus, if employees are satisfied with communication inside their company, such communication satisfaction can be expected to have a positive impact on job satisfaction (JS). Employee JS can initiate many other positive consequences in terms of their attitudes and behaviors. One way to achieve this is to increase satisfaction with internal communication. Starting from the above-mentioned, the subject matter of this paper is to examine the relationship between communication satisfaction (CS) and JS on the example of employees in companies in the Republic of Serbia. This research study is aimed at determining whether there is a connection between these phenomena or not. The sample consists of 202 employees. The results of the study have shown that the bivariate correlation between CS and JS is positive. In addition, the results of the study have shown that several dimensions of CS have a statistically significant impact on employee JS.

As proposed by the current theoretical framework, the fact that the economic growth of a country depends not only on the formation of physical and human capital and the sustainable exploitation of its natural resources, but also on the financial inclusion that allows economic agents to find solutions to liquidity restrictions and channel savings towards productive investment is exhibited in this paper. By matching multiple databases, static and dynamic panel estimates are developed, verifying the robustness of results and the endogenous nature of economic growth. The current research demonstrates that social inclusion is not only the desired result of economic growth, but a required input for its future sustainability.

Information about the segments of a company is an important basis for making business decisions. In order for decisions based on segment information to be adequate, that information should be communicated in accordance with regulations. This paper is aimed at examining the adequacy of the segment information of listed companies in the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Croatia and determining whether the volume of disclosed financial segment information is related to the company size and character of the audit firm. The research reveals that, in general, the disclosure of segment information is not fully in line with the International Financial Reporting Standard 8 - Operating Segments and that the joint-stock companies with a higher value of their total assets disclose financial segment information in more detail. However, there is no statistically significant difference in the amount of the segment information disclosed between the companies whose financial statements are audited by large audit firms and those that are the clients of other audit firms.

This paper investigates the joint impact of interest rate and exchange rate volatility on the performance of the informal sector in Nigeria, focusing on Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). The annual time-series data on the exchange and interest rates for the period 1981-2018 were obtained from where exchange and interest rates volatility data were computed. The data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics, correlation, a unit root test, an Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) bound test for cointegration and the ARCH regression model. The results obtained by the ARDL bound test confirmed the presence of the long-term relationship between interest and exchange rates volatility and SMEs' performance, which suggests that all the variables of interest move together in the long run. Moreover, the ARCH regression model showed a positive impact of exchange and interest rates volatility on SMEs' performance. However, only exchange rate volatility was significant. Thus, policy makers should pursue the interest rate and exchange rate regimes that will encourage massive investments in SMEs. This, in turn, would increase the performance of SMEs. Also, the monetary authorities should implement the policies aimed at curtailing incessant volatility in the exchange rate and the interest rate so as to protect SMEs from the external perturbations of the movements of the exchange rate and the interest rate.

In this paper, the adequacy of foreign exchange reserves in Serbia and the factors that influence their accumulation is analyzed by means of an econometric model. The relevant variables, such as the gross domestic product (GDP), the real effective exchange rate (REER) and monetary aggregate M2/GDP are included in the analysis. The unit root tests applied in the research led to the conclusion that the timeseries were integrated of the order I(1). The cointegration test revealed that there was one cointegration equation. The regression model was estimated using the quarterly data for the period from 2002q1 to 2020q3. The estimated cointegration coefficients showed that the economic activity approximated in terms of the gross domestic product (GDP) had a significant influence on foreign exchange reserves accumulation, which is only followed by appreciation pressure on the dinar (approximated by the REER index) and money supply growth (estimated through the monetary aggregate M2/GDP). In addition to conventional factors, the analysis also points out specific factors and their impact on foreign exchange reserve accumulation in Serbia. The results of the research study show that foreign exchange reserves in Serbia are greater than the levels suggested by standard optimality criteria. The findings also suggest that it is necessary to take into account the dividends realized by foreign investors, as well as some segments of portfolio investment in assessing the specific indicator of the adequate level of foreign exchange reserves.

In the digitalization era, traditional organizational success factors have been called into question, so it is necessary to reconsider the established work patterns and find new ways to create sustainable value. Given the fact that, as bearers of knowledge, people are the key drivers of value, it is important to explore possible ways to improve their potential. The research study carried out in this paper is aimed showing that autonomy contributes to the development of employee engagement in the digital environment, especially so in remote working conditions. In that sense, the concept of employee engagement was explained, as a state of high vigor, dedication and absorption. Possible ways to improve engagement through increasing autonomy are pointed out as well. The empirical research has confirmed that autonomy has a positive effect on vigor and dedication as the engagement dimensions. The impact autonomy exerts on vigor is stronger in the employees working remotely in comparison with those who do not work remotely.

This paper examines the impact of taxes on the economic growth based on classifying countries by GDP per capita and a tax burden. The Partitioning Around Medoids (PAM) technique is used because it is not too sensitive to outliers. Through this multicriteria classification technique, the Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) is employed to analyze the data of the three groups consisting of 63 countries from 2003 to 2017. The results show that most taxes have a positive impact on economic growth in poor countries (Group 1). Interestingly, taxes on goods and services promote economic growth in rich countries (Group 3), rather than having a negative effect, as is concluded by some previous studies. Specially, while the property tax has a negative effect on economic growth in rich countries, its impact is significantly positive in poor countries.

The study accounts for the structural break effect in the context of Nigeria. According to the findings obtained, the linear Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) bounds test reveals that the possibility of a long-term co-integrating relationship is inconclusive. When the study further accounts for asymmetry and the structural break period, however, the Nonlinear Autoregressive Distributed Lag (NARDL) bounds test reveals that there is no long-term co-integrating relationship among the variables in Nigeria within the specified period. According to the results of the NARDL test, both the positive and the negative changes in the oil price and energy use have a negative significant impact on economic growth in Nigeria in the short run, whereas the Consumer Price Index (CPI) exerts a positive and significant impact on economic growth in the short run. The Error Correction Model (ECM) result shows that the independent variables can correct about 94% of the short-run deviation of economic growth from equilibrium in the long run. The study concludes that, irrespective of the changes in the Bonny Light crude oil price, its impact remains the same on the Nigerian economic growth.
