Capital structure decision is an important act made by company’s financial manager as mismanagement causes financial distress. This study aims to determine the effect of non-debt tax shield and business risk on capital structure. The data in this study were collected from the financial reports of 137 manufacturing companies in Indonesia from 2014 to 2019. Hypothesis testing was carried out using a fixed effect panel regression model. The results showed that the non-debt tax shield had a significant negative effect on capital structure, while business risk had a positive effect. Thus, companies that have a low non-debt tax shield will increase their debt to get compensation for tax deductions from interest expenses, while companies with a high risk level prefer internal financing to decrease the debt level. This study contributes to the literature by uncovering the factors that influence the determination of corporate debt levels in manufacturing industries in Indonesia. The result of this research can be used by the company managers to consider business risk and non-debt tax shields in determining the optimum capital structure to increase the value of the company.

This article aims to identify both internal and external factors that influence the Digital Transformation (DT) process of Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) during the  COVID-19 pandemic. The Covid-19 pandemic, which hits all countries including Indonesia, forces business entities, including MSMEs, to digitally transform their business process. The government’s policies on physical distancing and Large-Scale Social Restriction in several regions greatly impacts MSMEs’ activities i.e. decreasing demands or sales up to 60%. The government’s support for improving the telecommunications infrastructure and a digital ecosystem plays an essential role in accelerating DT. Besides, the government’s initiative to establish business centers can also promote DT of the MSMEs. Moreover, this article describes the challenges faced by MSMEs in carrying out DT during the pandemic. This article applied a conceptual approach to explore the influential factors, both internal and external factors of DT process for MSMEs. Besides, this article will explain DT of MSMEs based on capability and the ecosystem perspectives. As this article suggests, considering those factors will broaden our understanding of MSMEs’ efforts to digitalise their business. The digital transformation model via business centers establishment can encourage MSMEs to go digital.

Jumlah penduduk lansia yang meningkat tajam, partisipasi kerja yang tinggi dan belum memiliki jaminan pensiun dapat menyebabkan lansia rentan miskin. Kemampuan fisik dan mental juga mulai mengalami penurunan. Untuk menjaga kualitas hidup, kesehatan lansia harus terjaga dengan tidak terpaksa bekerja. Faktor pengaruh dana pensiun terhadap partisipasi kerja lansia sangat bervariasi sehingga diperlukan adanya pengembangan penelitian. Menggunakan data IFLS 5, penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh dana pensiun terhadap partisipasi kerja lansia yang dikontrol berdasarkan karakteristik individu, rumah tangga dan indikator komunitas dengan preferensi risiko dan asuransi kesehatan sebagai instrumen. Dengan menggunakan metode IV 2SLS, penelitian ini menemukan semakin tinggi jumlah penerima dana pensiun, partisipasi kerja lansia akan menurun. Lansia yang memiliki dana pensiun dengan tingkat pendidikan tinggi, tinggal di perkotaan, pekerja formal, serta menerima bantuan keuangan, memiliki kemungkinan bekerja lebih kecil. Artinya mereka sejahtera saat tua. Oleh karena itu, intervensi pemerintah diperlukan untuk mendorong pemberi kerja dan tenaga kerja untuk ikut aktif menjadi peserta jaminan pensiun, khususnya terhadap pekerja dengan pendidikan rendah, tinggal di pedesaan dan pekerja informal.

This research was conducted to test the determining factors of customer loyalty on Grabfood which include perceived value, customer satisfaction and switching cost. This research also tests the mediating role of customer satisfaction on the influence of perceived value on customer loyalty and tests the moderation role of switching cost on the influence of customer satisfaction on customer loyalty. The sampling method in this study is non-probability sampling through purposive sampling technique. The survey was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 160 respondents who had used the Grabfood application at least 3 times. The data is analyzed using macro process SPSS moderation mediation analysis. The results showed that perceived value and customer satisfaction affect customer loyalty, perceived value affects customer satisfaction, customer satisfaction mediates perceived value influence on customer loyalty, and switching cost does not moderate the influence of customer satisfaction on customer loyalty.

Meskipun penggunaan intuisi telah menjadi salah satu alat pengambilan keputusan yang disukai oleh CEO, manajer dan profesional, studi tentang bagaimana penggunaan intuisi dinilai di tempat kerja masih langka di literatur. Artikel ini bermaksud untuk mengatasi kesenjangan literatur ini dengan berbagi temuan tentang pentingnya penggunaan intuisi dan manifestasi praktisnya dalam profesi dari sudut pandang 85 manajer pembelian. Data menunjukkan bahwa intuisi sebagian besar dikenal sebagai: (1) kapasitas untuk membuat keputusan yang tepat melalui pengenalan pola; (2) kapasitas untuk membuat keputusan cepat; dan (3) kemampuan bernalar menggunakan pengalaman. Penemuan kami membuktikan bahwa penggunaan intuisi dihargai tidak hanya sejauh berkontribusinya pada kesuksesan sebuah pengambilan keputusan, tetapi juga untuk peningkatan kemampuan pribadi. Sayangnya, peserta dalam penelitian ini cenderung berbagi gagasan umum dan ambigu tentang pentingnya intuisi daripada menyajikan contoh kehidupan profesional berbasis praktik yang konkret yang menggambarkan pemahaman dan penerapannya dalam organisasi mereka.

Abstract This research aims to find out whether financial literacy effects performance and sustainability of culinary MSME. Respondents are 100 managers or owners of culinary MSMEs in Greater Jakarta who are responsible for making decisions regards the business and selected by purposive sampling. Structured questionnaire consisted of type of quiz modified from the Basic Indonesian Financial Literacy Index to determine financial literacy and modification of the EFQM Excellence Model to measure performance based on the perception of how far the respondent reaches the indicators of business results. Questions of business sustainability is modified from the Triple Bottom Line reporting indicator to measure sustainability of business operations in terms of economic, environmental and social aspects. SEM model is used to analyze data. The result showed financial literacy has a significant effect to performance of culinary MSME as well as the performance has a significant effect to sustainability of culinary MSME. However, financial literacy does not have a significant effect to sustainability of culinary MSME. It is strongly recommended to management of culinary MSMEs to increase their management capacity in term of financial literacy especially ability to be engaged with digital and financial technology.Keywords: Business performance, Culinary MSME, Financial literacy, Sustainability

This paper analyses the impact of government spending on poverty reducing in Nigeria for the period 1981 to 2017 making use of annual time series data. The study employs the Auto-Regressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) approach. The result of the study revealed that economic service recurrent expenditure (ESRX), social and community recurrent expenditure (SCSRX), Transfer recurrent expenditure (TRX) reduces poverty while transfer capital expenditure (TCX) and administrative recurrent expenditure (ADRX) escalate poverty. Consequently, the study recommends that Government should embark on provision of food subsidies, subsidies farm input for farmers, subsidies transportation cost. Furthermore, government should endeavor to pay pensioners all their entitlements including gratuities as at when due without any delay, government should also be giving stipend to the unemployed and disabled, more poverty alleviating programs should be organize Also, the huge cost of maintaining the government should be reduced by reducing the numbers of political appointees to a reasonable size.

This research aims to study and determine about the condition of customer engagement social media, the condition of brand loyalty on Indosat Ooredoo and effects of customer engagement social media to brand loyalty on Indosat Ooredoo. The research method that used is descriptive research and the design of research is survey. The sampling technique that used is non-probability sampling and done by using purposive sampling with 300 respondents. Meanwhile, data analysis that used is simple linear regression-analysis, the coefficient of determination, and hypothesis testing.The result of this study shown the condition of customer engagement and brand loyalty on Indosat Ooredoo has been good. Furthermore, there is significant effect from customer engagement social media to brand loyalty on Indosat Ooredoo at medium level. It is mean every increasing  from customer engagement will impact to increasing on brand loyalty.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran subjective well-being dalam memediasi locus of control terhadap kepuasan kerja. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada perawat Rumah Sakit Islam Fatimah Banyuwangi. Populasi pada penelitian ini sebanyak 85 perawat dengan sampel responden sebanyak 70 perawat. Metode penentuan sampel menggunakan simple random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner. Pendekatan pada penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif, pengujian hipotesis menggunakan Partial Least Square (PLS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan locus of control berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap subjective well-being ­dan kepuasan kerja, sedangkan subjective well-being tidak berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan kerja karena terdapat faktor lain yang lebih mempengaruhi kepuasan kerja perawat seperti gaji, lingkungan kerja, maupun karakteristik pekerjaan. Pada sisi lain, subjective well-being yang dimiliki perawat melekat dalam diri masing-masing dan suatu kewajiban yang harus dilakukan oleh setiap karyawan seperti bersikap baik terhadap terhadap rekan dan meningkatkan kemampuan dalam bekerja, sehingga tidak memiliki implikasi pada meningkat atau menurunnya kepuasan kerja. Oleh karena itu subjective well-being tidak berperan sebagai variabel intervening.

Customer loyalty is a main goal for the company. Customer loyalty is a consumer behavior that is realized, among others, buying services continuously, recommending services to others, and having competitor's offer retention. Some of the factors that cause customer loyalty are the quality of service provided by the company and consumer perceived value. So, companies must consider their service efforts given to consumers. Service is declared quality if it meets the customer's needs and expectations. Increasing service quality will also affect consumer perceived value and customer loyalty. The objectives of this study include (1) explaining the requirements regarding service quality, customer loyalty, and perceived value in Malang GO-JEK drivers who use the Telkomsel Ojek Online Package in 2019, (2) to explain the direct effect of service quality on perceived value, and (3) to explain the direct and indirect influence on customer loyalty in GO-JEK drivers on Malang City who use prepaid Telkomsel Online Ojek Packages.
