In this article a comparative analysis is made to determine the influence of vectors of selected features derived from geometric, optical and dielectric characteristics of eggs on the accuracy of classification, depending on their weight. Suitable for classification are the principal components and latent variables that reduce feature vectors containing shape indices (D, A, V), spectral indices (TVI, GLI), dielectric characteristics (C, k), selected by four methods (CORR, SFCPP, RELIEFF, FSRNCA). By comparative studies it is found that the use of classification methods (DT, DA, SVM) are more effective in predicting weight of hen eggs than in quail eggs. The proposed egg analysis methods take precedence over the known solutions in this field as it takes into account changes in the internal properties of quail and hen eggs when stored.

The paper presents an investigation of forms, ornaments and colors in Minoan female costume and arts (Minoan, Mycenaean and Aegean artefacts) with a main purpose of their application in contemporary fashion design. The analysis of the studied artefacts shows that the basic silhouette and the shapes of element and pieces, ornaments and colors in Minoan, Mycenaean and Aegean female costume, presented in statuettes, frescoes and jewels, and the ornaments and colors of Minoan, Mycenaean and Aegean frescoes, ceramics, and jewellery can be applied in the design of modern ladies’ clothing, jewels and accessories. On the base of the results of the investigation designs of seven fashion ensembles of ladies’ dresses in combinations with suitable jewels and bags have been created.

Phase space is an approach for analysis of nonlinear differential equations. The graphical solutions that are obtained are convenient for qualitative assessment of the behavior of systems and processes. A comparative analysis of the pharmacokinetics of the antibiotic enrofloxacin administered intravenously in dogs and cats has been performed in the present study. The mathematical models that represent the change in blood plasma concentration of the two groups of animals are described by second-order differential equations. For the graphical representation of phase trajectories using the fluoroquinolone, the Mathcad program tools are used. The properties of the peculiar points are determined based on the received images.

In this paper, an analysis of the potential use of the surface and geometric characteristics of mulberry leaves as parameters for environmental quality assessment is made. Methods have been used to reduce the amount of data of latent variables, linear and kernel variants of principal components. It has been found that a kernel variant of the principal components, combined with nonlinear separating functions of discriminant analysis and a method of support vector machines, are an appropriate methods for distinguishing the degree of air pollution from the mulberry leaf data. The results obtained could be used as preliminary baseline data for future evaluations and studies related to remote monitoring of urban air quality.

This article analyzes the process of changing the concentration of enrofloxacin in blood plasma in dogs after a single intravenous injection of the substance. Three mathematical models are proposed - algebraic and two models, based on a differential equation of first and second order. Identification of their parameters has been performed. Based on Akaike information criterion corrected as the best model was chosen the represented by a second-order differential equation. Three equations are identified and the exact numerical values of their parameters are obtained. For the evaluation and comparison of the three models, Akaike information criterion was used. The best results showed the second-order differential model. It will be used in future developments.

In the present work an analysis of the separability of hen egg yolks from different manufacturers is made using image and spectral processing and analysis techniques. Apparent properties of three types of egg yolks were determined and a comparative analysis of these properties was made. Discriminant and SVM (Support vector machines) classifiers were used for classification. A general classification error with lower values is obtained with the b (Lab) color component. In the studies of the spectral characteristics of egg yolks from different manufacturers, the highest accuracy of separation of the target areas is obtained with the kernel SVM classifier combined with the kernel variant of the principal components. When using this classifier, general classification errors of up to 1% were obtained. The results confirm the hitherto known research in this area because the major part of the chicken egg yolk properties studied are visible properties that can be analyzed in the visible spectrum of the reflected light.

Ageing is a clearly identifiable time and life period that is associated with a number of medico-social problems, which are to a great extent connected to the changes that occur in the organism at that age. Together with the problems, due to involutive processes and the functional peculiarities, one should not underestimate such, connected to morbidity. Aim: To research and analyze the health status of the elderly people. Materials and methods - There has been conducted a direct individual anonymous questionnaire amongst elderly people aged 60 or more, through accidental principle, in the period between April 2016 and February 2018. Results: The analysis of the health status of the elderly people shows multiple pathologies - highest is the rate of the cardiac diseases. A characteristic feature of the pathology with the elderly people is its multitude - 49% have stated two and three diseases. Women have more often three and more diseases, and with men there prevail the percentage without any diseases. The city dwellers are with higher average rate of the number of diseases and it is more often that they suffer from chronic diseases. 65,2% of the respondents with lower incomes (up to 150 lv.) have been in dispensaries owing to a chronic disease. Highest is the rate of the respondents who assess their health status as satisfactory – 49,1%.

This article presents results of a study of the opinion of former and current students on issues related to the evaluation with e-tests. The experience of lecturers conducting assessment in technical and computer disciplines with tests in e-learning environment Moodle from Faculty of Technics and Technologies of Yambol is also analyzed. Analyzes and research carried out show that the progress of the technologies and their entry into education leads to one negative effect. Some of the students use digital technologies to access exam test questions and learn only these questions rather than the teaching content. Conclusions are made on the minimum number of questions from which the tests should be formed. Measures have been proposed for easy and fast automated raising of the total number of questions in the bank by developing Plugins in Moodle, allowing the creation of new types of test questions.

The variety of silhouettes is one of main features of Christian Dior’s creativity. The aim of presented paper is a study and analysis of the silhouettes of Christian Dior for determination of connection between a silhouette and the body form and presentation of a silhouette with simple geometric forms. The silhouettes of Christian Dior in his couture collections in the period between 1947 and 1957 are studied, analysed and approximated with combination of well-known simple geometric forms - curved forms of ellipses, ovals, circles, full figures or their parts, and straight ones of rectangles and trapeziums. The investigation of the silhouettes with the application of approximation with well-known simple geometric forms helps the students in their studies in fashion. The approximated geometric approach helps the activity of fashion designers and pattern makers in their creations of new silhouette forms and their proportions to the human body.

The harvesting is one of the most difficult and responsible operations in the crops growing. It should be done in the short term, in order to prevent losses of production. This requires efficient use of the operating time of the combine harvesters. A study of the working time of a combine harvester was carried out throughout the whole period of wheat harvesting. Unloading of the hopper is carried out when the combine harvester is stationary. It was found that the time to prepare and finish work was 24.754% of the total working time. It includes time for maintenance of the combine harvester, the time for coupling and uncoupling of the combine header, the time for transport of the combine harvester to and from the field, and the time for moving inside the field. It was found that the time of harvesting is 53,158% of the working time. Non-productive time in the field represents 22,088% of the total working time. It includes the time for the movement of combine harvester to the place of unloading and vice versa, the time for waiting before unloading, the unloading time, the time for making turns, the time for updating of the technological settings, the time for searching and troubleshooting. For unloading of grain tank is lost 14.842% of working time. On the basis of the study, an algorithm for the operation of a combine harvester was made when unloading in stationary.
