The Precast industry is booming industry now a day, but then also the implementation ratio of precast member in residential construction work is not up to the mark. As we all know that precast having numerous advantages over the cast in situ construction method, for example it saves the total time of construction which indirectly reduces the cost of construction but still we are lagging behind in implementation of precast in it. In this research we have listed out some problem which can be cause of less implementation of precast in residential construction buildings. As discussed in paper, there are so many factors are affected on Implementation of Precast in Residential Construction Sector For example: Technical Issues and General Issues. In Technical Issues Joint stability problem during Erection, Standard size of precast element, Leakage Issues, Design change related problem, Requirement of Standard Rate per Panel, End user Profit, Additional Taxes, General Issues are: Transportation of Precast Element, Loading and Unloading problems, Transportation to sight, Storage Area, Skilled Labour Research has done and data is collected through Questionery survey, Field survey, and research survey.

Subject. The article addresses the prospective development of the civil shipbuilding sector in Russia. It considers digitalization of design, construction and production as a key driver of increasing the labor productivity at enterprises and organizations of the industry. Objectives. The aim is to present a conceptual model of a digital network-centric data management system for calculating the cost of works (services) performed (provided) by design organizations in the national civil shipbuilding, as a promising tool to improve the efficiency of cost estimation in the industry. Methods. We employ generally accepted methods of scientific knowledge, like analysis, synthesis, formalization and concretization, composition and decomposition, verification and expert evaluation. Results. We formulated and described a model of digital network-centric data management system. It consists of two elements, i.e. a centralized server management system for a cluster database and a client complex. The latter contains a personal calculation module, which is customizable for the needs of the organization, and a local (personal) database. Conclusions. If implemented, the presented conceptual model will enable a new level quality, speed, and accuracy of cost estimates of designed objects, as well as more effective accumulation and processing of relevant data for management decisions.

The demand for more sustainable business models is increasing the need for current businesses to develop their business processes and value creation mechanisms. One way to improve sustainability is sharing resources and services in a new sharing economy paradigm. This chapter builds a conceptual model for taxi ridesharing to describe the value potential that is born by increasing the efficiency of taxi businesses. First, a framework for multisided markets is built to understand the different value elements of taxi ridesharing. Then, a conceptual mathematical model is introduced to understand the value symmetries including the cost saving potential and allocation from the perspectives of the customer and the supplier. The model shows that it is possible to have a system that creates value for both the taxi driver and the passenger, while simultaneously leading to significant reduction in CO2 emissions.

Research background: The article describes the main trends in the globalization of economic processes, analyses the economic situation of world commodity markets, considers factors that influence the development of the transport system of Russia, defines the transport component in the cost of bulk cargo transported by Russian railways, presents a conceptual model of its formation for the purpose of improving tariff policy and competitiveness. A study of the dynamics of market conditions helps to identify factors that increase the efficiency of interaction between cargo-forming enterprises and organizations with the transport complex, develop and justify a system of measures to increase the efficiency of the transport system and ensure the sustainability of the national economy, as well as identify factors that contribute to globalization and the integration of production processes of transnational structures into the world economic system. Purpose of the article: To develop a methodological approach to assessing the impact of global commodity markets in the context of the globalization of economic processes on the development of the transport system of Russia. Methods: Analysis, classification, deduction, economic and mathematical modelling. Findings & Value added: The developed conceptual model for assessing the impact of global commodity markets in the context of the globalization of economic processes on the development of the country’s transport system contributes to the improvement of the tariff policy in the field of freight transportation, creates favourable conditions for increasing freight volumes for both transit and export-import cargoes.

Abstract Background Advances such as passive monitoring technology (PMT), which provides holistic supervision of chronically ill and elderly patients, enable and support improved monitoring and observation, thus empowering the growing population of older adults to live more independently while lowering health care expenses. Aims This study develops a conceptual model to estimate the potential savings associated with PMT. Methods We first develop a conceptual model to identify the main cost variables associated with independent living, focusing on three pathways: (1) PMT, (2) independent living supported by the current standard of care, and (3) facility-based care. We examined the impact on three outcomes [i.e., health care costs, institutional costs, and health-related quality of life (HRQoL)] along each of the three care pathways (i.e., PMT, independent living supported by the standard of care, and facility-based care) and developed a cost-benefit model to calculate the net costs and benefits associated with each care pathway. Results The cost–benefit model showed savings between approximately $425 per-member per-month (PMPM) for those using PMT compared to those on the standard of care pathway. Sensitivity analysis demonstrated that a 5% increase in nursing home utilization generates cost savings of more than 30% PMPM. Discussion The total projected cost savings for individuals on the PMT arm are projected to be more than $425 PMPM, with annual savings of $5069 per-person per-year, and over $5.1 million for a target population of 1000 individuals. Conclusions The cost calculations in our cost–benefit simulation model clearly demonstrate the value of PMT and show the potential value to payers and integrated delivery systems in offering PMT to individuals who are likely to benefit the most from the services.

Abstract The objective of this study is the comparison of green roof systems with conventional isolated and non-isolated ones in order to identify the potential energy savings of green roofs and the benefits provided in comparison with the cost of construction to the buildings. The region of interest is the Watergraafsmeer area in the city of Amsterdam. The method evaluates literature reports - mostly from 2003 to 2010 - that present the advantages of green roofs. Examples in real implementation of green roofs in USA, UK and Germany, retention of rainfall and a Life Cycle Assessment from a residential construction in Madrid will be introduced, showing the energy savings from insulation and heating/cooling that can be gained. All the reports have shown a reduction in energy costs and in runoff of water. Hence, costs and retrofitting potential completes the research. The age of buildings and the absence of insulation make green roofs an ideal alternative project for the retrofit of Watergraafsmeer.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the effect of education cost, university image and quality of lecturers on student decisions to choose a college. To achieve the proposed goals, a model is applied that reflects the effect of education costs, university image and quality of lecturers on student decisions to choose universities. This model was tested through the use of multiple linear regression equations and the sample was 388 student candidates. The conceptual model shows that the image of a university is the most influential construct on student decisions to choose a campus, followed by the quality of lecturers and the cost of education. In this paper, the cost of education variable produces a reliability of 0.861, a college image of 0.918 and a lecturer quality of 0.937. Further research is needed in order to find more reliable measurements of indicators of education cost, university image and quality of lecturers. The image of a university is the highest impression that is in the minds of students in choosing a university, followed by the quality of lecturers and the cost of education. Proven. The results show that the image of the university, the quality of the lecturers and the cost of education have an influence on student decisions to choose a campus.
