The aggregation and the rapid restructuring of the photoinduced electron−hole pairs restructuring in the process of photoelectric response remains a great challenge. In this study, a kind of Multi-walled carbon nanotubes loaded Alpha-Fe2O3 (CNTs/α-Fe2O3) heterostructure composite is successfully prepared via the one-step method. Due to the synergistic effect in the as-prepared CNTs/α-Fe2O3, the defect sites and oxygen-containing functional groups of CNTs can dramatically improve the interface charge separation efficiency and prevent the aggregation of α-Fe2O3. The improved photocurrent and enhanced hole–electron separation rate in the CNTs/α-Fe2O3 is obtained, and the narrower band gap is measured to be 2.8 ev with intensive visible-light absorption performance. Thus, the CNTs/α-Fe2O3 composite serves as an excellent visible light photocatalyst and exhibits an outstanding photocatalytic activity for the cationic dye degradation of rhodamine B (RhB). This research supplies a fresh application area forα-Fe2O3 photocatalyst and initiates a new approach for design of high efficiency photocatalytic materials.

Abstract Organometal halide perovskites are promising materials for lowcost, high-efficiency solar cells. The method of perovskite layer deposition and the interfacial layers play an important role in determining the efficiency of perovskite solar cells (PSCs). In the paper, we demonstrate inverted planar perovskite solar cells where perovskite layers are deposited by two-step modified interdiffusion and one-step methods. We also demonstrate how PSC parameters change by doping of charge transport layers (CTL). We used dimethylsupoxide (DMSO) as dopant for the hole transport layer (PEDOT:PSS) but for the electron transport layer [6,6]-phenyl C61 butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM)) we used N,N-dimethyl-N-octadecyl(3-aminopropyl)trimethoxysilyl chloride (DMOAP). The highest main PSC parameters (PCE, EQE, VOC) were obtained for cells prepared by the one-step method with fast crystallization and doped CTLs but higher fill factor (FF) and shunt resistance (Rsh) values were obtained for cells prepared by the two-step method with undoped CTLs.

Combining halogen composition and film casting engineering, a high quality homogeneous film with a large area can be prepared using a one-step method. Inverted solar cells and modules, based on mixed-halide perovskite films, achieved the highest efficiency of 16.52% and 14.3%, respectively.

Background:Stenoloma chusanum (L.) Ching is a Chinese traditional medicinal fern with high total flavonoid and total phenolic content. Traditionally, phenolic compounds were separated by using column chromatography, which is relatively inefficient.

Objective: This study aims to use an efficient method to separate natural products from S. chusanum by Medium-Pressure Liquid Chromatography (MPLC) and High-Speed Counter-Current Chromatography (HSCCC).Methods:In the present research, firstly, a sample (2.5 g) from the dichloromethane extract of S. chusanum was separated by MPLC. Next, fraction P5 was purified by HSCCC with a two-phase solvent system composed of hexane-ethyl acetate-methanol-water (HEMWat) at a volume ratio of 2:4:1:4 (v/v/v/v).

Result: Four phenolic acids were obtained and their structures were identified by means of NMR and ESI-mass analysis. They were identified as: 1) protocatechuic acid (34 mg, purity 90.1%), 2) syringic acid (66 mg, purity 99.0%), 3) p-hydroxybenzoic acid (5 mg, purity 91.2%) and 4) vanillic acid (6 mg, purity 99.3%).Conclusion:The combination of MPLC and HSCCC is a high-efficiency separation method for natural products. This is the first report with regard to the separation of four phenolic acids in one step by MPLC and HSCCC from S. chusanum (L.) Ching.

The effect of dynamic curing of PP/EPDM blends with sulfur and thiuram disulfide systems on their mechanical properties was studied. The results were interpreted using the knowledge of the formation of phase structure in the blends during their melt mixing. It was shown, that a sufficiently slow curing reaction is necessary if a high impact strength is to be obtained. Only in such case, a fine and homogeneous dispersion of elastomer can be formed, which is the necessary condition for high impact strength of the blend. Using an inhibitor of curing in the system and a one-step method of dynamic curing leads to an increase in impact strength of blends. From the comparison of shear modulus and impact strength values, it follows that, at the stiffness, the dynamically cured blends have higher impact strength than the uncured ones.
