AbstractThis paper reports upon the design and development of a novel testing rig for the examination of additively manufactured auxetic componentry. By firstly reviewing the key challenges for practical researchers and exploring the range of approaches used to examine auxetic structures, we subsequently introduce a new testing configuration seeking to enhance the existing methods found within the literature. The developed testing configuration includes a novel mechanical design with a new method for component mounting offering advanced control of the boundary condition and a fully developed control interface which facilitates real-time analytics, a range of data acquisitions and integration with a CAD environment. This paper describes both the development of the mechanical design and the development of the control interface by exploring the key design features and documentation of the manufacturing and assembly process. Finally, we discuss how the presented testing configuration offers a new and flexible way of testing auxetic componentry with additional insights offered for future researchers who wish to recreate or adapt the testing setup for their own examinations of additively manufactured componentry.

We revised 16 patients submitted to epilepsy surgery using a new method of digital, real-time, portable electrocorticography. Patients were operated upon over a period of 28 months. There were no complications. The exam was useful in 13 cases. The low installation and operational costs, the reliability and simplicity of the method, indicate it may be useful for defining the epileptogenic regions in a variety of circumnstances, including surgery for tumors, vascular malformations, and other cortical lesions associated with seizure disorders.

People make decisions based on deviations from expected outcomes, known as prediction errors. Past work has focused on reward prediction errors, largely ignoring violations of expected emotional experiences—emotion prediction errors. We leverage a new method to measure real-time fluctuations in emotion as people decide to punish or forgive others. Across four studies (N=1,016), we reveal that emotion and reward prediction errors have distinguishable contributions to choice, such that emotion prediction errors exert the strongest impact during decision-making. We additionally find that a choice to punish or forgive can be decoded in less than a second from an evolving emotional response, suggesting emotions swiftly influence choice. Finally, individuals reporting significant levels of depression exhibit selective impairments in using emotion—but not reward—prediction errors. Evidence for emotion prediction errors potently guiding social behaviors challenge standard decision-making models that have focused solely on reward.

The article discusses the decision of some problems connected with the distribution of increased state academic scholarships, such as: late submission of documents, lengthy processing of applications, the paper version of the filing documents that complicate the process of submission and consideration of applications and documents into a higher state academic scholarship, thereby increasing the burden on the members of the scholarship Commission and directorates of the institutions. The aim of this work is to find ways to improve the efficiency and accessibility of this process through an information system that will allow you to submit achievements for authentication and applications for an increased state academic scholarship online, track your position in the ranking in real time, view the achievements of other students directly from the rating system.Information system design is implemented using a new stack of information design and development approaches. The article pays special attention to the design of the database and the interface part of the application. The article presents a working web application “administration of the achievement accounting system”.

Problems in the process of manned agricultural aerial spraying, such as heavy workload in route planning, overlaps or omissions in spraying seriously reduce the efficiency of spraying and utilization rate of pesticides. This paper presents the design and development of a navigation system for manned agricultural aerial spraying based on an industrial tablet PC. This system provides three key functions: route planning, spraying navigation and real-time evaluation of spraying quality. The test and application results show that this system has high efficiency in route planning, and the average coverage rate of spraying could reach as high as 96%. Its application effect is remarkable, and as a result, this system can meet the demand of manned agricultural aerial spraying in route planning and navigation.
