AbstractChinese authorities created four new asset management companies (AMCs) in 1999. These have since undergone profound transformations which have been influential in China's contemporary integration into the world market. Conventional interpretations see these powerful AMCs in largely technical and asocial terms. By contrast, we employ a critical geographical analytical framework to understand the transformation of these AMCs as an expression of the state's spatial–temporal strategy to create conditions of political economic stability now by displacing the conditions of financial instability and crisis into the future. This strategy does not come without unintended and destabilizing consequences, nor is it without class-based social and political implications.

Looking at the historical flow of Islamic development in Indonesia as such, the author took an analysis that the future prospects of Islam in Indonesia have a great opportunity to continue to develop, be it in the fields of politics, economics, education, social, and culture. This can be seen from the history of Islam in Indonesia that continues to develop until now, this is the early stage of the emergence of awareness of the Indonesian nation of the importance of planting religious values in Indonesian society so that the Indonesian nation can meet the future not only with science and technology but also in the balance by IMTAQ.  The era of globalization in the 21st century that has begun at this time, Islam in Indonesia has apparently exerted a huge influence on the advancement of Islam in the world. Although the existence of Islam today is really faced with a fairly severe challenge that requires the involvement of various parties concerned. With regard to this, strategic efforts need to be made, among others: by providing knowledge, skills, and piety in all fields (religious, political, economic, social, cultural, educational) so as to give birth to creative, innovative, independent and productive people considering the world to come is a competitive world. Keywords: Islam, The Future, Indonesia

The concluding chapter summarizes the book’s major contributions, addresses some important remaining issues, and anticipates how legislation is likely to proceed in the future. The chapter touches on three major religions (Eastern Orthodoxy, Hinduism, and Judaism), which do not receive much attention in other parts of the book. There is also a discussion of public opinion in Russia, which has received a lot of attention for its critical comments and policies. Additionally, this chapter examines cross-national developments in homosexuality-related legislation over the last twenty years. Across the world, many countries seem to be adopting friendlier policies, but there also appears to be a small backlash, often coming from nations with less political, economic, and media power. The backlash provides insight into why we should not expect all nations to march into the future with increasingly tolerant views.

The current stage of development of society is a crisis for Ukrainian enterprises. The crisis of the coronavirus COVID-19 became a crisis for the Ukrainian economy, which shook the world market and the Ukrainian market in particular. Of particular relevance are the development and application in the practice of Ukrainian enterprises of such a system of strategic management, the main purpose of which would be to ensure sustainable and most efficient operation of the business entity in the modern period, as well as creating and ensuring high development potential in the future. "Amplifier" of negative trends in the world economy - the COVID-19 pandemic. The article studies the essence of the scientific category "strategic management". Strategic management has focused on improving the efficiency of the market enterprise, which operates in conditions of uncertainty of the external environment. A number of problems accompanies effective management of economic stability of the enterprise, but despite this, the authors highlighted a number of advantages of strategic management of economic stability of the enterprise. In order to ensure the effectiveness of strategic management of economic stability, depending on the current state of the enterprise, a developed system of strategic management of economic stability in the form of a structural and logical scheme has proposed. The effectiveness of strategic management of economic stability of the enterprise depends mainly on the complexity and completeness of its implementation, the organization of coherence and relationship between all elements of the management system, the adequacy of methods used to assess economic stability and diagnose negative impacts. It has revealed, that the main difficulty from the standpoint of strategic management of economic stability of the enterprise is monitoring among the whole set of elements of the system of symptoms of crisis processes that lead to loss of economic stability, as well as managing them to neutralize. The prospect of further research is the development of scientific and methodological approaches to measuring the economic stability of the enterprise based on a comprehensive assessment of all components using the scientific method of integrated assessment based on balanced scores.

In this article, I examine what the ethical and political implications of conceptualizing and practicing philosophy for/with children (P4wC) in the neoliberal debt economy are. Though P4wC cannot alone bring about any significant transformation of debt political-economic realities, it can play an important role in cultivating oppositional debt ethics and consciousness. The first half of this article situates P4wC within the current global debt economy. Here, I summarize the analyses made by critical theorists of the ways that debt impacts public institutions (including schools), and shapes individual subjectivity. The second half of this article builds on Michel Foucault’s conceptualization of “counter-conduct.” For Foucault, counter-conduct is an ethical/political act of resistance against governmentality, one that makes possible alternative social relations and ways of being in the world. I argue in this section that P4wC should be conceptualized, and practiced, as form of counter-conduct that challenges power in the debt economy. Both the form of P4wC pedagogy, and the content that can be taken up in a collective manner in communities of inquiry, make P4wC a potential site for debt counter-conduct practices. Thought of as counter-conduct, P4wC is an educational practice with liberatory promise. I conclude this piece with brief ruminations on practicing P4wC in the time of COVID, and during the uprisings around the world against racial capitalism. It is suggested here that P4wC not only be practiced within formal education settings, but also in the social movements that are fighting to bring into being a world more just for all of us. Key Words: Debt (Deuda), Philosophy for/with Children (P4wC) (Filosofía para / con niños), Counter-Conduct (contra-conducta)

This chapter offers some conjectures about the future of Brazil, especially in light of recent declarations that the Brazilian miracle has vanished once again. It attempts to reconcile Brazil's current political and economic situation with the more optimistic forecast this volume has set out so far, by using the institutional possibility frontiers (IPF) to interpret this paradox. The IPF illustrates this by showing the trade-offs existing in any country between disorder and dictatorship (authoritarianism) and reveals that a state that has more powers to control disorder also has more for dictatorial abuse. The chapter also returns to the analytical framework already expounded in the previous chapter, and finally predicts Brazil's likelihood for another critical transition to a society more akin to the current developed countries in the world.

The global rise of arts and culture is transforming local politics. Though new to many academic urban analysts, this is a commonplace for many mayors and local policymakers around the world. We seek to overcome this divide by joining culture and the arts with classic concepts of urban politics. We offer an analytical framework incorporating the politics of cultural policy alongside the typical political economic concerns in the urban politics and development literatures. Our framework synthesizes several research streams that combine in global factors driving the articulation of culture into city politics. This frames our studies of the local processes through which this articulation occurs on the ground in Toronto and Chicago.
