Taking its shape in the 1920s of the twentieth century, existentialism has pervaded into a wide range of world literatures. In Southern Vietnam (1955 – 1975), the reception of existentialism theories underwent no crack and proved to be compatible with the social context full of volatility. Existentialism is a “humanitarian theory” (J.P.Sartre). Existentialism theories have permeated the writers’ consciousness and works in terms of their views of the human fate in the period when "God is dead”. Duong Nghiem Mau was a pioneer writer in receiving and expressing existential themes in his works, paving the way for the existential literature of Southern Vietnam. His works reflected various social aspects of life in Southern Vietnam, featuring the voice of a lost generation. The return of Duong Nghiem Mau's fiction at the beginning of the twentieth-first century emerged as a piece of evidence for the durability of existentialism and its pervasiveness in the global literature.

Gossip as a discourse genre Gossip is one of the wide range of sub-categories of discourse genres in story-telling. It is one of the most common interactive forms of discourse in informal conversation, because it has its origin in the general inclination of man to show an intense interest in other people’s activities. Although the development of gossip differs with regard to the subject of discussion, the context and situation in which it is produced as well as the persons participating, it is possible to distinguish definite universal features of gossip. This article deals with the most prominent characteristics of gossip. The focus falls on the structure, the gossiping process, the content, the pejorative, evaluating nature of it and the social aspects involved in gossiping. Special attention is paid to non-verbal elements, which are frequently used when people gossip. In spite of the negative connotations gossip has, it is very important in the establishment of social identities and relations. It should therefore not be neglected in the study of language.

For most visitors, guided tours are the only way to experience a cave. Since few studies have been conducted in these settings, there is no explanation for a recent decline in attendance at many well-known caves and caverns across the United States. A mail-back survey was administered to 660 visitors at Mammoth Cave National Park to learn more about the social aspects of visitation, focusing on those who took at least one guided tour. Results showed a low level of crowding, along with high approvals and value for the fee paid. Some possible strategies were mentioned to reverse the decline in cave tour attendance.

Seksualitas melingkupi kehidupan manusia sejak lahir sampai sepanjang hidupnya. Sexuality covers human life from birth to throughout his life. Sexuality involves a wide range of dimensions, such as: biological, social / cultural, psychological, and behavior dimensions. But the issue of sexuality is often seen as taboo to be discussed because it is compartmentalized only in the narrow view of sexual behavior. This phenomenon is particularly common among women and this tendency is influenced by gender identity. This descriptive study aims to identify how Indonesian women perceive in describing the concept of sexuality. Collecting data was taken from 293 female participants obtained through random sampling, 88 married participants and 205 unmarried at the age range of 18-40 years. Based on the results of the open questionnaire, the term sexuality still tends to be seen as a taboo thing to talk about (40.96%) by Indonesian women. While (21.16%) the rest view sexuality as something natural to talk about if it is appropriate to the context and in certain situations. And only a small percentage (37.88%) think that discussing sexuality is no longer a taboo thing to talk about. If described as categorized by dimensions, 23.89% includes the biological dimension, 10.58% includes the psychological dimension, 11.6% includes the social / cultural dimension and 53.93% includes behavior dimension. The hope is that it can be useful to increase awareness of the importance of comprehensive sexuality education.
