Abstract:This article explicates two approaches to the basis of moral worth and status: Eva Kittay’s relational view and Jeff McMahan’s psychological personhood view. It is argued that these theories alone do not provide adequate support for the conclusions Kittay and McMahan want to draw concerning individuals whose entitlement to fundamental protections can be challenged—infants with severe cognitive disabilities and infants without the support of their families and social environments. The real justification can in each case be found in deeply held convictions regarding entities that must and entities that must not be included in the core community of moral equals. Philosophical discussions about these convictions would be more useful for the advancement of our moral thinking than vain attempts to show that the absolute truth lies on either side of the ongoing debate.

The article considers the story by Henry James (1843 – 1916) «The Turn of the Screw» (1898 – first edition, 1908 – second edition) in connection with the emergence of a new type of narrator in the writer's late prose. The worldview and creative method of H. James are formed under the influence of the philosophy of pragmatism, which became widespread at the turn of the XIX-XX centuries thanks to the works of the writer's elder brother, the philosopher William James (1842 – 1910). The core of pragmatism is the pluralistic concept of William James based on the assumption that knowledge can be realized from very limited, incomplete, and inadequate «points of view» and this leads to the statement that the absolute truth is essentially unknowable. The epistemological statements of William James's theory is that the content of knowledge is entirely determined by the installation of consciousness, and the content of the truth in this case depends on the goals and experience of the human, i.e. the central starting point is the consciousness of the person. Henry James not only creates works of art, but also sets out in detail the principles of his work both on the pages of fiction works of small and large prose, putting them in the mouths of their characters – representatives of the world of art, and in the prefaces to his works of fiction, as well as in critical works.

This paper wants to emphasize that the ongoing debate around the term Sunnah and Bid’ah today is ideological, even political dissension. They two no longer reflect the pattern or Islamic syariah knot. Since it was mentioned by the Prophet Muhammad in his traditions, due to external encouragement and the dynamics of the problem of Muslims, this two terms have experienced an acute swelling of meaning. Based on that, through this paper I will try to track and objectify the terms of the Sunnah and Bid’ah which are already blurred and full of dust. By returning to the beginning of its appearance in the hadith, we can find the core of the real meaning of the concept of Sunnah and Bid’ah as well as the context and purpose contained in it before it is torn apart by many factors in the history of Muslim civilization.

The Current and future leaders live in a turbulent and chaotic environment, where the real power of acting derives from the recognition of the concept of change and looking for options. In this type of environment a lot of competence is necessary for the leaders to survive. The aim of this study case was to explore i.e. gain a clearer picture of the position of the leader, their characteristics, functions, levels, the core and the factors affecting the leader and their leadership. To see what type of leader the people want simply to draw conclusions about the characteristics, qualities and techniques of a leader and their leadership. So that in the end, to have empirical proof of the leader. The set goal in this study case is today’s leaders in everyday process, starting from the very beginning of their work, to serve as an example in developing inter-personal skills at the same time as treating people with dignity and respect. In other words, they have to possess leadership skills, characteristics and the necessary actions. This research aims at finding out the real attributes that is the profile of a leader and their leadership running an organization regardless if it is economic, political, and military or some other non-governmental organization. The values are more than a set of rules, they are not only behavior code, and they say what a leader should be every day in every action that they take. The values shade the leaders’ identity and the organization that they run.

To the question of what are the foremost things a man should do,situated as he is in this world of enigmas and fluctuations, thereply must be made that there are four things to be done or fourjewels never to be lost sight of: first, he should accept the Truth;second, bear it continually in mind; third, avoid whatever is contraryto Truth and the permanent consciousness of Truth; andfourth, accomplish whatever is in conformity therewith. All religionand all wisdom is reducible, extrinsically and from thehuman standpoint, to these four laws: enshrined in every traditionis to be observed an Immutable Truth, then a law of “attachmentto the Real,” of “remembrance” or “love” of God, andfinally prohibitions and injunctions. The ultimate motivating cause for homo Islamicus is not happiness or“utility,” but the Truth. For although happiness accompanies confomityto the Truth, it is an effect rather than a motivating cause. As FrithjofSchuon states, “our willing is not insphd by our desires alone, fundamentallyit is inspired by the truth, and this is independent of our immediateinterests.”* Islamic economics recognizes the need for homo Islamicus to conform to the Truth that God is the Absolute and that allthat is relative is attached to the Absolute by integrating all of life arounda Sacred Center. Accordingly, this realizes the meaning of the funda-mental witnesses (shahadatayn)-‘’There is no divinity but Allah” and“Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah ...

This study argues that the core of Ernst Troeltsch’s theological project is an eschatological conception of the Absolute. Troeltsch developed his idea of the Absolute from post-Kantian religious and philosophical thought and applied it to the Christian doctrine of eschatology. Troeltsch’s eschatological Absolute must be understood in the context of questions being raised at the turn of the twentieth century by research on New Testament apocalypticism, as well as by modern critical methodologies in the historical sciences. The study is a revisionist response to common approaches to Troeltsch that read him as introducing problematic historicist and immanentist assumptions into Christian theology. Instead it argues that Troeltsch’s theological modernism presents a compelling account of the meaningfulness of history while retaining a commitment to divine transcendence that is unconditioned by history. As such, his theology remains relevant to theological research today, well beyond theological circles that normally take Troeltsch’s legacy to contribute in a constructive way to their work.

The Albanian scholar Muḥammad Nāṣir al-Dīn al-Albānī (d. 1999) established a unique type of Salafism, a movement whose adherents follow a puritanical model of Muslim creed, exegesis, and conduct that is critical of madhhab Traditionalism. In this article I present an annotated translation of an audio lecture in which Albānī attempted to defend Salafism against its anti-madhhab image. I shed light on the religious and social climate that played a critical role in triggering Albānī’s disdain for Traditionalism and led him to discredit madhhab Traditionalist fiqh and replace it with his own interpretation of the jurisprudential requirements of Islamic scripture. Among the arguments I make is that Albānī’s claim to follow only the Qurʾān and Sunna is a rhetorical strategy designed to present Salafism as the absolute truth and distinguish it from being categorized as another madhhab or religious movement.

The equipment, called detection platform of the cylinders, is used for detecting cylinders so that cylinders can be at ease use. In order to transmit the real-time detection data to PC for further processing, the platform should be connected with PC. Cable connection, in some production and environmental conditions, is limited. Under the circumstance, building wireless network is the better choice. Through comparative studying, ZigBee is chosen to be the technology for building wireless network. ZigBee chip and ZigBee2006 protocol stack are the core components in the ZigBee nodes.

Connected automated vehicle (CAV) technology is the core for the new age vehicles in research phase to communicate with one another and assimilation of vehicular ad-hoc network (VANET) for the transference of data between vehicles at a quantified place and time. This manuscript is an enactment of the algorithms associated to the maintenance of secure distance amongst vehicles, lane shifting, and overtaking, which will diminish the occurrence of collisions and congestions especially phantom jams. Those implementations are centered over CAV and VANET technology for the interconnection of the vehicles and the data transmission. The data is associated to the aspects of a vehicle such as speed, position, acceleration, and acknowledgements, which acts as the fundamentals for the computation of variables. In accordance with the environment of a particular vehicle (i.e., its surrounding vehicles), real-time decisions are taken based on the real-time computation of the variables in a discrete system.

Abstract Remains of the grand platform in the locus of Huangchengtai at Shimao site in Shenmu, Shaanxi was discovered and excavated during the 2018–2019 season. The south-eastern corner and southern buttress of the platform were revealed. The locations of the other three sides of the buttresses were also preliminarily confirmed. As many as 70 stone carvings were discovered from multiple contexts, including the surface of the southern buttress, the floor of the corridor, as well as the debris of the southern buttress inside the corridor. The relative chronology of this platform and stone carvings cannot be later than the late Longshan period. The absolute date ranges from 2000 BCE to 1800 BCE. Fieldwork performed at the grand platform encourages multiple archaeological discussions, including the settlement layout within the Huangchengtai area, the nature of the settlement, and its role as the core of the Shimao site.

Property is one of the most important instruments in this life, because wealth is as a support  for the continuity  of human life, in Islam it is always emphasized the importance of independence in owning property  through  work or business, because Allah really loves his servant who is always giving  alms with  his own property.  Allah Almighty really likes hard workers or people who are persistent in seeking treasure for the sake of the afterlife, even Allah SWT  emphasizes in  Surah at-taubah  father 10. And Say: "Work  for you, Then Allah and His Messenger and the believers  will see your work, and you will be returned to (Allah) who knows the unseen and the real, then He tells you what you have done. Even the  Companions of the Messenger  of  Allāh  adalah were rich people  who possessed  wealth  for  the progress and development of Islam  at the time, a  very real example was the Friends of Abu Bakr, Abdurrah bin ʻAuf, Uthman ibn Affan and the Wife of the Messenger of Allāh adalah was a great entrepreneur, Siti Khadijah. They are friends looking  for wealth and have it as much as possible then after that they distribute their wealth through ZISWAF, it is obligatory and must for Muslims  to seek / have property  for the benefit of the world and the hereafter and the interests of Muslims and provision  in  the hereafter Can be concluded that ownership of property in Islam  it is very important because it is a means of sustaining life and as a place to find savings  for ukhrawi life  later,  because indeed ownership of property in Islam  is  not only focused  on worldly matters, but there are  two elements  that are always included,  namely for  worldly  and spiritual interests. It  should be underlined in the ownership of the property  that the principle  must be instilled that this property has the absolute God Almighty, we are only temporarily entrusted, therefore it is not beautiful to not distribute the assets we have to people in need through ZISWAF instruments.
