Research that links macro-level socioeconomic development variables to health care human resources workforce composition is scarce at best. The purpose of this study was to explore the links between nonnursing factors and nursing workforce composition through a secondary, descriptive analysis of year 2000, publicly available national nursing human resources data from Mexico. Building on previous research, the authors conducted multiple robust regression analysis by federal typing of nursing human resources from 31 Mexican states against macro-level socioeconomic development variables. Average education in a state was significantly associated in predicting all types of formally educated nurses in Mexico. Other results suggest that macro-level indicators have a different association with each type of nurse. Context may play a greater role in determining nursing workforce composition than previously thought. Further studies may help to explain differences both within and between countries.

Location Quetiont (LQ) Analysis was used to determine the base and non-base sub-sector. While the analysis of Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) is used to see the sub-sector competitiveness. The combination of LQ and RCA analysis can then be used to determine the leading sub-sector. From the analysis it is known that sub-sector of the agricultural sector is a base sub-sector which has the potential to become the leading sub-sector. Meanwhile, from the RCA analysis is known that the base of the agricultural sector has a highly competitive sub-sectors are food crops, tree crops, livestock and forestry.

This paper examines corporate social reporting (CSR) in the annual reports of companies listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) in Iran. Descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression techniques are used to analyse the extent of CSR disclosure and to test hypotheses regarding the relationships between CSR disclosure and four company characteristics namely size, profitability, financial leverage and industry type. Among five important themes of social disclosure (human resources, environmental performance and policies, community activities, energy consumption, and customer satisfaction and product quality) the human resources theme was found to be the most common type of disclosure made. Only the size of the disclosing company was found to be significantly related to the level of overall CSR disclosure.

The purpose of this article is to present the results of the evaluation of the imple-mentation of a teaching training course in Engineering Pedagogy (EP) at a Chilean university of applied sciences. The research questions that guided the research process were: (i) How do the participants evaluate the course in general? (ii) How do the participants evaluate the didactic design of the course? (iii) How do they evaluate the teaching competencies? (iv) How do they value the usefulness of the learning outcomes for their teaching practice? (v) How they self-evaluate their participation and their learning process? Based on different authors a questionnaire with closed and open-ended questions was developed and implemented online. For the statistical analysis was applied an exploratory-descriptive analysis. The training course consists of two online modules with 90 working hours in LMS, and was designed by the Center of Engineering Education (CIEI) at the University of Talca, according to the IGIP Curricula of the IGIP center at the Technische Universität Dresden (TU Dresden, Germany). From the first results of the pilot project, it can be noted that there is a high level of motivation and interest to participate in a teaching training course based on EP, which has been specially oriented and designed to meet the specific requirements of the academic staff of engineering schools.

This study was aimed at analyzing the competencies that are provided and the relevance of graduate competence of vocational schools to work in the construction industry. The evaluation study used was a discrepancy model by identifying gaps between the needs of construction industry competencies and the competencies of Building Engineering graduates. The objects of the study were company owners, heads of the Human Resources Department, and head of the Building Engineering Expertise Program. The data were retrieved using a questionnaire with 60 open statements. The instruments were prepared based on the Director General of Secondary Education Decree Number 7013/D/KP/2013 which is adjusted to the theory of competence and competency of the pre-survey results. The data then were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis technique. The results of the study showed that industry requires seven attitude competencies, seven knowledge competencies, and six skills competencies. Industrial competency requirements that are relevant to the competencies supplied by Vocational Schools are six attitude competencies, five knowledge competencies, and one skill competency with a level of relevance in the high category which shows that vocational school graduates are competent to work in the construction industry.RELEVANSI KOMPETENSI LULUSAN SMK TEKNIK BANGUNAN UNTUK BEKERJA DI INDUSTRI KONSTRUKSIPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kompetensi yang dibekalkan dan tingkat relevansi kompetensi lulusan Sekolah Memengah Kejuruan (SMK) Teknik Bangunan untuk bekerja di industri jasa konstruksi.
