While the use of vinegar to fi ght against infections and other crucial conditions dates back to Hippocrates, recent research has found that vinegar consumption has a positive effect on biomarkers for diabetes, cancer, and heart diseases. Different types of vinegar have been used in the world during different time periods. Vinegar is produced by a fermentation process. Foods with a high content of carbohydrates are a good source of vinegar. Review of the results of different studies performed on vinegar components reveals that the daily use of these components has a healthy impact on the physiological and chemical structure of the human body. During the era of Hippocrates, people used vinegar as a medicine to treat wounds, which means that vinegar is one of the ancient foods used as folk medicine. The purpose of the current review paper is to provide a detailed summary of the outcome of previous studies emphasizing the role of vinegar in treatment of different diseases both in acute and chronic conditions, its in vivo mechanism and the active role of different bacteria.

AbstractConventional treatment modes like chemotherapy, thermal and radiations aimed at cancerous cells eradication are marked by destruction pointing the employment of nanomaterials as sustainable and auspicious materials for saving human lives. Cancer has been deemed as the second leading cause of death on a global scale. Nanomaterials employment in cancer treatment is based on the utilization of their inherent physicochemical characteristics in addition to their modification for using as nano-carriers and nano-vehicles eluted with anti-cancer drugs. Current work has reviewed the significant role of different types of nanomaterials in cancer therapeutics and diagnostics in a systematic way. Compilation of review has been done by analyzing voluminous investigations employing ERIC, MEDLINE, NHS Evidence and Web of Science databases. Search engines used were Google scholar, Jstore and PubMed. Current review is suggestive of the remarkable performance of nanomaterials making them candidates for cancer treatment for substitution of destructive treatment modes through investigation of their physicochemical characteristics, utilization outputs and long term impacts in patients.

Abstract Corrupt deals are commonly arranged by intermediaries. However, attempts to deter corruption pay little attention to the role of intermediaries in corrupt deals. This paper reports a laboratory bribery experiment on corruption designed to investigate how intermediaries with information about the lowest bribe that the official is willing to accept in a briber-initiated corrupt deal affect the effectiveness of the four-eyes-principle (FEP) on deterring corruption. We find that the introduction of the FEP significantly decreases the corruption level by increasing uncertainty. However, the presence of intermediaries with information completely offsets the positive effect of introducing the FEP on preventing corruption. Our findings suggest that further research on corruption should allow a more active role of intermediaries, and legislators should take the role of intermediaries into account when designing anti-corruption mechanisms.

This paper presents the survey on different techniques which can be used to detect congenital heart disease using palm patterns. The congenital heart disease is one of the heart diseases which starts from birth. Research works are carried out towards detecting congenital heart disease before symptom appears using palm patterns so that it avoids critical health problems in future. Researchers have collected palm prints from normal people who are not suffering from any kind of heart disease and from patients who are suffering from different types of congenital heart diseases. These palm prints are collected from different hospitals. The palm prints are taken using ink and paper method. These palm patterns are analyzed to determine the role of palm pattern while detection of the disease. Few researchers have considered only triradius of palm and most of the researchers have considered palm patterns such as whorl, loop, arch and hypothenar pattern. In case of triradius, researchers have calculated position of axial triradius and it is categorized into three types. In case of whorl, loop and arch, they have considered how often they appear in palm of normal people and patients. Few researchers have analyzed both left and right hands of normal people and patients.

Superoxide dismutases (SOD) play a major role in the intracellular defense against oxygen radical damage to aerobic cells. In eucaryotes, the cytoplasmic form of the enzyme is a 32-kDa dimer containing two copper and two zinc atoms (CuZn SOD) that catalyzes the dismutation of the superoxide anion (O2-) to H2O2 and O2. Superoxide-mediated damage has been implicated in a number of biological processes, including aging and cancer; however, it is not certain whether endogenously elevated levels of SOD will reduce the pathological events resulting from such damage. To understand the in vivo relationship between an efficient dismutation of O2- and oxidative injury to biological structures, we generated transgenic strains of Drosophila melanogaster overproducing CuZn SOD. This was achieved by microinjecting Drosophila embryos with P-elements containing bovine CuZn SOD cDNA under the control of the Drosophila actin 5c gene promoter. Adult flies of the resulting transformed lines which expressed both mammalian and Drosophila CuZn SOD were then used as a novel model for evaluating the role of oxygen radicals in aging. Our data show that expression of enzymatically active bovine SOD in Drosophila flies confers resistance to paraquat, an O2(-)-generating compound. This is consistent with data on adult mortality, because there was a slight but significant increase in the mean lifespan of several of the transgenic lines. The highest level of expression of the active enzyme in adults was 1.60 times the normal value. Higher levels may have led to the formation of toxic levels of H2O2 during development, since flies that died during the process of eclosion showed an unusual accumulation of lipofuscin (age pigment) in some of their cells. In conclusion, our data show that free-radical detoxification has a minor by positive effect on mean longevity for several strains.

The article of American colleagues reveals the role of modern means of communication in the process of training and education of children of primary school and adolescence. Primary attention is paid to video games, the characteristics of their different types, including educational orientation. With concrete examples, the possible positive effect of the use of video games by teachers for the intellectual development of students, as well as the risks of uncontrolled use by children, are considered. Recommendations are given to teachers and parents to control the play activities of younger schoolchildren and adolescents in order to prevent the negative impact of video games on the health and mental state of a child.

Nanotechnology is an escalating branch whose feelers are mesmerizing nearly every field of science. It is the evolving field in forensic science, the advancement of emergent techniques of nanoparticles being unified with latent fingerprinting. The size of nanomaterials made them unique and have adjustable mechanical, electrical, and optical properties. At the crime scene, the prints that are left behind are generally latent (invisible) fingerprints. The Current review paper encompasses the synthesis of nanoparticles from conventional and advances synthetic pathways. Their applications, with and without modifications and their impacts on the enhancement of latent fingerprints, have also been discussed.

The new series of substituted N-(phenylcarbamothioyl)benzamide derivatives (2a-2f) was designed, development and synthesized by using conventional and microwave method. In present work 6 different N-(phenylcarbamothioyl)benzamide were synthesized. Substituted benzoyl chloride is converted into benzoyl isothiocyanate by esterification. Benzoyl isothiocyanate is converted into Substituted (phenylcarbamothioyl)benzamide by treating with different types of substituted aniline. Confirmation of the chemical structure of the synthesized was substantiated by TLC, IR, 1H NMR, MS spectroscopy.Novel synthesized compounds screened for their in vivo and in-vitro anti-inflammatory studies and compound 2f shows promising anti-inflammatory activity.

For centuries, macrofungi have been used as food and medicine in different parts of the world. This is mainly attributed to their nutritional value as a potential source of carbohydrates, proteins, amino acids, and minerals. In addition, they also include many bioactive metabolites which make mushrooms and truffles common components in folk medicine, especially in Africa, the Middle East, China, and Japan. The reported medicinal effects of mushrooms include anti-inflammatory effects, with anti-inflammatory compounds of mushrooms comprising a highly diversified group in terms of their chemical structure. They include polysaccharides, terpenoids, phenolic compounds, and many other low molecular weight molecules. The aims of this review are to report the different types of bioactive metabolites and their relevant producers, as well as the different mechanisms of action of mushroom compounds as potent anti-inflammatory agents.
