Solid products of low temperature carbonization in comparison with coke have the higher reaction and adsorption capacity, are easier to undergo the subsequent activation and gasification. The low temperature coke can also act as a refined smokeless fuel for boiler plants and domestic ovens, an active carbonaceous reductant for the chemical and metallurgical industries. The results of Tugnuisky open pit (Buryatia) coal quality studies are given in this article. The parameters of the technical and elemental analysis of the feed coal were tested during the experiments. The low temperature carbonization of coal sample in retort was carried out to determine the yield of the low temperature carbonization products. The produced products were investigated according to the quality indicators in accordance with the requirements of the technical specifications.

In this paper air was passed through into one progress temperature-controlled box with coal sample and nitrogen into another as comparison during the procedure of coal’s low-temperature (10~80°C)oxidation . Draw the heating curves and heating rate curve, and equation model is built combined with energy conservation, then concludes the heat release rate of the coal samples in the air conditions. The experimental results show that the condition with air is more close to the storage conditions of coal such as transportation in reality, which is very significant to prevent the spontaneous combustion of coals

The maintenance of furnaces is one of the most important problems for by-product coke production. Swelling pressure is one of the least studied factors affecting the lining of coke furnace walls. The results of studies of the swelling pressure of PJSC “Koks” feedstock coal are presented in this paper. Research has been carried out to identify the dependence of the swelling pressure on the coal quality indicators, estimated during the incoming control of the central plant laboratory of PJSC “Koks”. The plastic properties of PJSC “Koks” feedstock coals were studied using Gieseler plastometer. The relationship between the swelling pressure and the maximum coal fluidity is revealed.

ABSTRACTPb(THD)2 is one of the most popular CVD precursors for lead. It was found in this study that the volatility of Pb(THD)2 can be considerably improved by using ammonia as a carrier gas. An adduct between Pb(THD)2 and NH3 is generated in-situ, when the NH3 carrier gas is passed through the bubbler containing Pb(THD)2. The ammoniated precursor was isolated and its molecular structure was characterized by elemental analysis, infrared and NM.R. PbO thin films could be prepared with this precursor system while maintaining the bubbler temperature at 110° C, which is considerably lower than the temperature used with the Pb(THD)2 precursor in the commonly used carrier gas.

CeO2-Fe3O4/TiO2and CeO2/TiO2catalysts were prepared by coprecipitation method, and their activities for selective catalytic reduction of NO with NH3were investigated. As can be seen from the experimental results, the CeO2-Fe3O4/TiO2catalyst prepared showed the best SCR activity and SO2resistance. Based on the characterization results of BET, XRD, NH3-TPD and XPS the excellent performance of CeO2-Fe3O4/TiO2catalyst should be resulted from its large surface area, high NH3adsorption capacity and high concentration of surface chemisorbed oxygen.

Dust control in summer and winter periods is a topical problem associated with conducting open pit mining operations; however, at negative temperatures the additional requirements are imposed on dust suppressants. Preventive compositions are proposed, in which light and heavy gas oils, obtained from catalytic cracking and delayed coking, are used as base components. Involvement of heavy fractions allows to increase the flash point, thereby reducing the flammability of dust suppressant, improve its adhesion properties by increasing the content of polyaromatic hydrocarbons and reduce the cost of the final product. In order to improve low-temperature and adsorption properties of developed dust suppressants, heavy oil residues (cracking residue and tar) are included in their composition in various concentrations: 2-10 wt.%. Alternative compositions of dust suppressants, obtained by water emulsification of vinylated alkyd oligomer, are developed; the ability of this dispersion to form strong films on dusty surfaces is examined. The efficiency of using aqueous solution of vinylated alkyd oligomer as a summer dust suppressant is demonstrated. The results of this study include the development of new preventive compositions with improved low-temperature properties and confirmation of the theoretical part of the study by the results of performance tests on a laboratory facility.Alternative compositions of dust suppressors have been developed, which were obtained by emulsifying a vinyl alkyd oligomer (VAO) in water; the ability of this dispersion to form strong films on dusty surfaces has been studied. The efficiency of using an aqueous solution of vinyl alkyd oligomer in the summer period as a dust suppressant is shown. The results of this study are the development of new prophylactic formulations with improved low-temperature properties and confirmation of the theoretical part of the study by the results of tests of operational characteristics in a laboratory facility.
