Using pitaya as raw material, this paper used ethanol subsiding method to study the extraction technology of pitaya polysaccharide by single factor test and orthogonal test. Through orthogonal test, we have found the optimum extraction conditions of pitaya polysaccharide as follows: extraction temperature 60℃, solid-liquid ratio 1:30, extraction time 3h. Under the optimal extraction conditions, the yield of pitaya polysaccharide was 1.13%.

To study the extraction technology of polysaccharide from Pleurotus ostreatus. In order to explore the influence of temperature, time, and solid-liquid ratio on polysaccharide yield, single factor test had been done. The optimum extraction conditions was obtained though orthogonal test and interactive analysis: extraction temperature 50°C, extraction time 2h, and solid-liquid ratio 1:30. Under those conditions, the extraction rate of Pleurotus ostreatus polysaccharides was 28.79%.

The cell wall of peanut skin was destroyed by cellulase enzymolysis from peanut skin fermentation, which was beneficial to extract proanthocyanidin. The extraction conditions of proanthocyanidin from fermented peanut skin were studied according to orthogonal experiment based on single factor experiments. And the optimum conditions were obtained as follows: extraction time 40min, extraction temperature 55°C, Concentrations of ethanol 45%, solid-liquid ratio 1:15. The extraction rate was 16.17 %.

Single factor experiments and orthogonal experiments were successively carried out to optimize the water extraction technology of flavonoids in Thlaspi arvense Linn. Results showed that the influential order of factors was extraction times >solid-liquid ratio >extraction time. The optimum conditions were adding 16 times amount of water, extracting 3 times and every time with 4 hours. Under these conditions, the yield of flavonoids from Thlaspi arvense Linn was 1.17%.

Single factor experiments and orthogonal experiments were successively carried out to optimize the water extraction technology of flavonoids in Emilia sonchifolia (Linn.) DC. The results showed that the influential order of factors was extraction times >solid-liquid ratio >extraction time. The optimum conditions were 15:1 of solid-liquid ratio, 2h of the extraction time and 3 of the extraction times. Under these conditions, the extraction yield of flavonoids from Emilia sonchifolia (Linn.) DC was 3.35%.

[Objectiv The aim is to study the extraction technology of melanin from banana peel, and discuss its stability. [Metho We used banana peel as raw material, the absorbance at 410 nm as the index, extracted melanin by base-acid method, and optimized the extraction technology by the single factor and orthogonal test. Then we discussed the melanins stability at different temperature, light source, pH value, metal ions, antioxidant and reducing agents.[Result The best extraction conditions of melanin is that, hydrochloric acid soak time 5 h, alkaline solution pH value 14, extracting time 20 min, extraction temperature 70 °C, absorbance value about 0.309 A. Melanin from banana peel is stable at high temperature, different light source irradiation, reducing agent coexist; but at room temperature, metal ions and oxidizing agent coexist, it is unstable. [Conclusio This study provided experimental basis for the optimization and development of melanin from banana peel.

Optimization of total flavonoid extraction from Castor leaves using orthogonal test methodology with the factors of ethanol concentration, extraction temperature, extraction time,solid/liquid ratio on the yield of total flavonoids were investigated. The results showed that optimum extracting conditions of total flavonoids from castor leaves were as follows: adding 1:40 g·mL-1 of 30% alcohol and extracting for 30 min, extraction temperature 70°C. Under the optimal conditions, the maximal yield of flavonoids was of 1.81%.

Pectin was extracted from Ramie [Boehmeria nivea (L.) Gaud] through ammonium oxalate extraction method. The influences of single factors (ammonium oxalate concentration, extraction time, solid–liquid ratio, and reaction temperature) on the yield of ramie pectin were studied. Orthogonal experiment was then performed to optimize the combination of the given conditions using pectin yield as the measuring indicator. Finally, the partial physicochemical properties of ramie pectin extracted in the optimal conditions were analyzed. Results showed that the optimal conditions for single-element experiment were 3.5 h (extraction time), 1:25 (solid–liquid ratio), 0.85% (concentration of ammonium oxalate) and 95 °C (extraction temperature), and that the optimal combination conditions for orthogonal experiment was 4 h, 1:30, 0.95% and 90 °C. The ramie pectin yield extracted in optimal conditions reached 15.81%, and its protein content, galacturonic acid content, and esterification degree were 0.659 mg/g, 49.92%, and 53.11%, respectively. Therefore, the proposed method was successfully applied to obtain ramie pectin and may provide scientific basis for improving the multi-utilization value of ramie.

Using ultrasonic-extraction technology, the condition of extracting the active compounds-flavonoids and rosmarinic acid ofPerillawas studied. The effects of four main factors include ultrasonic power, temperature, time and solid-liquid ratio on the extraction-rate of the flavonoids and the rosmarinic acid ofPerillawere reviewed by single factor experiments, and the flavonoids and the rosmarinic acid was determined by NaNO2-Al (NO3)3-NaOH method and FeSO4method. On the base of single factor experiments, the extraction technique was optimized in the orthogonal test. The result showed that temperature was the most important factor in the influencing factors on the extraction-rate. The subsequence of importance was temperature > time > solid-liquid ratio > ultrasonic. The optimal extraction conditions were: extraction solvent 3%borax, solid-liquid ratio 1:50(w/v), ultrasonic power 300W, time 90min , temperature 75°C. Under the optimum technological conditions, 34.64mg/g of flavonoids and rosmarinic acid fromPerillacould be obtained.

Moringa leaves were used as raw materials, ethanol and ammonium sulfate were used to construct a aqueous two-phase system to extract the flavonoids from Moringa leaves. The solid-liquid ratio, ethanol content, ultrasonic extraction time, and ultrasonic extraction temperature were selected as single factors, and the extraction process of flavonoids was optimized through single-factor experiments and orthogonal experiments. The optimal process was: 1:110 of solid-liquid ratio, 45 % of ethanol concentration, 15 minutes of ultrasonic extraction time, 70 °C of ultrasonic extraction temperature. Under this condition, the extraction rate of Moringa leaf flavonoids reached 8.37 %.
