The article highlights the problems of developing giftedness in children and approaches to support them in Yakutia. The problem of educating gifted children and creating conditions for the evolution of their unique potential is becoming one of the main modernization areas in the Russian education system. The study goal: to study the situation of supporting musically gifted children of Yakutia. Research methods: study and analysis of theoretical sources, Russian and foreign experience in supporting children’s giftedness, processing and analysis of statistical data, analysis of experience in supporting children’s giftedness in Yakutia. The scientific novelty of the research consists in teaching musically gifted children and studying their phenomenon through the prism of a system of pedagogical conditions that ensure their personal growth on the basis of a Higher School of Music and a general education institution that provides training at three successive levels of education: primary, secondary and higher. The study result is based on the analysis of the researchers’ views, we attempted to systematize knowledge about giftedness, a set of measures to accompany musically gifted children held in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) were highlighted and the pedagogical conditions reflected in the recommendations were identified.

In science and practice, there is an increased interest in considering the organisation of work with gifted children. Serious attention is paid to the identifi cation of gifted and talented children and the content of the work on the development of their abilities at different levels of education. Many countries have accumulated their own unique experience in working with such a non-standard category. It is interesting to compare the content and features of social and pedagogical work with gifted children in Russia and in the former republics of the Soviet Union. The Republic of Kazakhstan over the years of post-Soviet existence has accumulated serious experience with this non-standard categories of children, both in school and additional education. This circumstance allowed us to conduct a comparative analysis of the experience of socio-pedagogic work with gifted pupils in Russia and Kazakhstan and try to identify the features of socio-pedagogic work with gifted pupils in this direction. In the course of the empirical study, a survey was conducted of pedagogues of General education organisations of the Russian Federation (n=132), pedagogues of additional education organisations (n=66), pedagogues and specialists of SIRIUS educational centre in Sochi (n=27); educational organisations of Kazakhstan (n=200). On the basis of the conducted research we have identifi ed the features of social and pedagogic work with gifted children in educational institutions of various types in the territory of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The present research aims to evaluate the impact of two master courses offered by one public higher education institution in Angola on the professional development of Angolan teachers and also on the broader educational community. The two courses were attended by 393 teachers. The data of 45 answered questionnaires and six verbatim transcripts of individual semi-structured interviews were analysed. According to the teachers perspective the courses contributed to teachers’ personal growth and changes of practices, as well as improved students’ learning (micro context of impact). Although to a lesser extent, impact on broader contexts was also identified, indicating that changes occurred also within other teachers and elements of the surrounding school community (meso context of impact) as well as the community of educational research (macro context of impact). The results in discussion are of relevance for further investment on post graduation courses (master level) for teachers offered by higher education institutions. Outlined recommendations could potentially contribute to impact enhancement (and understanding) of academic post-graduation courses’ attended by in-service teachers, particularly those integrated in recent higher education systems of post conflict countries, such as the Republic of Angola. The role of both higher and secondary education at the present stage of development of the Republic of Azerbaijan is mainly measured by the tasks set for it, its transition to a democratic and rule-of-law state, to a market economy, the need to overcome the danger of the country lagging behind the world trends of economic and social development. The main goal of the modernization of education is to create a mechanism for the sustainable development of the education system. To achieve this goal, such important tasks as ensuring State guarantees of accessibility and equal opportunities for obtaining a full-fledged education and achieving a new modern quality of preschool, general and vocational education should be solved as a priority, among others. Within the framework of solving these tasks, the concept of modernization of Russian education at the senior level of general education provides for specialized training and the development of distance education. The model of a general education institution with specialized training at the senior level provides for the possibility of various combinations of academic subjects, which will provide a flexible system of specialized training. This system includes the following types of academic subjects: basic general education, specialized and elective. Elective courses are implemented at the expense of the school component of the curriculum and provide “support” for the study of the main profile subjects, as well as serve for intra-profile specialization of training and the construction of individual educational trajectories. Schools are faced with the task of developing elective courses. On the one hand, solving this problem requires highly qualified specialists, which is extremely difficult to provide, especially in rural areas. On the other hand, today schools, including rural ones, get access to high-speed Internet, therefore, we can say that there is a sufficient technical base for the development of distance learning, which will also solve the problems of specialized training.

Abstract:Expert systems in medicine are frequently restricted to assisting the physician to derive a patient-specific diagnosis and therapy proposal. In many cases, however, there is a clinical need to use these patient data for other purposes as well. The intention of this paper is to show how and to what extent patient data in expert systems can additionally be used to create clinical registries and for statistical data analysis. At first, the pitfalls of goal-oriented mechanisms for the multiple usability of data are shown by means of an example. Then a data acquisition and inference mechanism is proposed, which includes a procedure for controlling selection bias, the so-called knowledge-based attribute selection. The functional view and the architectural view of expert systems suitable for the multiple usability of patient data is outlined in general and then by means of an application example. Finally, the ideas presented are discussed and compared with related approaches.

Visual merchandising is an extremely important element as the first visual cue that affects buying behavior of customers. This study aims to identify determinants of visual merchandising that influence customers’ impulse buying behavior. This study focuses on five elements of visual merchandising which are window display, mannequin display, floor merchandising, promotional signage and lighting. Investigation was conducted at a popular fashion specialty store in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. A total of 150 customers' feedback was collected. Results of statistical data analysis show that three out of five visual merchandising elements are important in influencing the customers’ impulse buying behavior. Window display, mannequin display and promotional signage are positively related and identified as determinants of effective visual merchandising for impulse buying decision at the women fashion specialty store. The research outcome extends understanding on the adverse effect of visual merchandising on customers’ behavior.

Urgency of the research. One of the most essential sources of supporting regional and local development is the banking system. Target setting. The study presented describes cooperative banking, represented by Bank Polskiej Spółdzielczości S.A. and Bank Spółdzielczy w Kielcach. The use of the statistical data analysis method allowed to demonstrate the strong position of cooperative banking in the market, fostering regional and local development. Actual scientific researches and issues analysis. The foundations for the modern cooperative banking sector were laid by cooperative financial organisations functioning more than 150 years ago [Pawlik, 2017, s. 152]. Its history is connected with difficulties faced in the period of partitions, work at the foundations after the end of World War I and Poland’s regaining its national independence. Uninvestigated parts of general matters defining. At present, cooperative banking functions as a result of the adoption by the Sejm of the Republic of Poland on 7 December 2000 of the act on the functioning of cooperative banks, their associations and associating banks, which ensured new legal conditions for the functioning of the sector2. The research objective. The article formulates the hypothesis that nowadays activities of cooperative banks will contribute to regional and local development. The statement of basic materials. One of the most essential sources of supporting regional and local development is the banking system. This system can guarantee the stabilisation of the local financial system. By supporting the development of regional and local entrepreneurship through loans, investment activities of the banks and financial and investment consulting, it will determine the identity of the region concerned. Conclusions. The use of the statistical data analysis method allowed to demonstrate the strong position of cooperative banking in the market, fostering regional and local development.
