Indonesia’s climate has suitable for tobacco growth. tobacco plants can live in drylands. Tobacco is planted optimum with a size of 100cm x 70cm. The right size is used to count the amount of tobacco that will be planted according to the area of the land. Technology developed to help the farmer to monitor their crops and yields, by using image processing. Farmers can count easily without having to go to the field to calculate manually. In our research, image processing is used combined with knowledge base data. Images taken using drones, then be processed using image processing using the contour detection method to count the number of a tobacco plant. The results of 80 times system testing, which is using 4 parameters, 20 samples for each parameter. The success rate of the first test was 86.597% with a 13.402% error rate. The second test’s success rate is 87.63% with a 12.306% error rate. of the third test obtained an 87.033% success rate and an error rate of 12.966%. The fourth test results from an 85.431% success rate and 14.56% error rate.

The microbubble has been widely used and shown to be effective in various fields. Therefore, there is an importance of measuring accurately its size by image processing techniques. In this paper, we propose a detection method of microbubbles by the approach based on the Hough transform. Experimental results show only 4.49% of the average error rate of the undetected microbubbles and incorrectly detected ones. This low percentage of the error rate shows the effectiveness of the proposed method.

A new method of texture detection for aluminum foil based on digital image processing technology is proposed. Top-hat transformation and image segmentation technology based on the connected domain are used to change the method of determining texture fraction by using human experience. Compared with the brightness method, pit detection method, and EBSD technology, this method can complete quantitative detection efficiently, automatically, and accurately, and reduce the detection time and manpower. It eliminates the instability of manual detection and ensures the accuracy of detection. By this method, the error of test results can be controlled within 1.6%, which is much better than 7.3% of the brightness method and 4% of the pitting method. It provides more accurate test results for the production process control of aluminum foil.

Tingkat keberhasilan identifikasi wajah ditentukan oleh pengambilan image, pemrosesan image, dan perhitungan dengan PCA (eigenface).Face recognition has been implemented on a computer, laptop or other device tool which is dedicated for face identification. Developments in particular android smartphones growing rapidly. To maintain the security that can only be used by owners have been provided with a PIN, phone code, pattern shear point touch screen. Face recognition application used as a substitute for or a PIN code on the phone android smartphone needed as protection so only the owner who can use it. So that the process of identification of the owner's face needs to be done easier conversion of true color images into grayscale process used is pointwise. Face recognition application that is built requires owners face training with 6 face pose saved , then will be compared with the face identification when the application is used . The test results showed that the success rate of between 70 % - 90 %. The distance between the face and the camera and the brightness of light affect the results of face identification. The success rate is determined by identifying the face image capture, image processing, and computation with PCA eigenface.

Previous studies often revealed a right-hemisphere specialization for processing the global level of compound visual stimuli. Here we explore whether a similar specialization exists for the detection of intersected contours defined by a chain of local elements. Subjects were presented with arrays of randomly oriented Gabor patches that could contain a global path of collinearly arranged elements in the left or in the right visual hemifield. As expected, the detection accuracy was higher for contours presented to the left visual field/right hemisphere. This difference was absent in two control conditions where the smoothness of the contour was decreased. The results demonstrate that the contour detection, often considered to be driven by lateral coactivation in primary visual cortex, relies on higher-level visual representations that differ between the hemispheres. Furthermore, because contour and non-contour stimuli had the same spatial frequency spectra, the results challenge the view that the right-hemisphere advantage in global processing depends on a specialization for processing low spatial frequencies.

The application of certain digital processing techniques offers the possibility of extra accuracy in the interpretation of paraclinical examinations of this type, with profound implications in the diagnosis as well as in the hierarchy of the treatment plan. The purpose of this study is to identify the type of imaging processing for the identification of pathological elements from orthopantomographies and articular tomographies. A number of 20 orthopantomographies and 15 temporo-mandibular joint tomography have undergone through various image enhancement techniques. Various methods of image enhancement (enhancement) have been used for those procedures whereby it becomes more useful in the following aspects: specific details are highlighted; noise is eliminated; the image becomes more visually attractive. The workings were done in Corel PhotoPaint 7.0, using the automatic procedures available. The choice of a particular type of image enhancement technique has been selected for each type of pathology found in orthopantomographies or articular tomography, providing the best accuracy for an optimal imaging interpretation that underpins a precision diagnosis.Of the most useful imaging processing in the optimization of the orthopantomographic image accuracy the point-to-point transformations are to be noted. The image processing proposed in this article focused primarily on improving the radiological image attributes to highlight specific anatomical structures, and secondly, the contour detection, where it was necessary for the diagnostic purposes as well.

Prior research by authors on the use of pesticides and their impact on 75 vegetable farmers in Simpang Empat subdistrict, Karo district, North Sumatra showed that 60% of respondents applied pesticides in excess of the packaging instructions. Respondents were also found not to use a complete protective device. Almost 70% of respondents have mild toxicity complaints, and based on blood cholinesterase levels are also found most respondents have mild toxicity. Pesticide residue test results also found 0.728 residues of chlorpyrifos and 0.321 profenofos in vegetables produced in this area. This led to continued review by checking the technical efficiency in the use of pesticides. The method used is a quantitative method with the Data Envelope Analysis (DEA) approach to analyze technical efficiency of pesticide on each commodity. The population is the whole vegetable farmer who grew tomatoes, Chinese cabbage and cauliflower at the time of the study. The entire population is used to be a sample of 35 tomato and cauliflower farmers and 20 Chinese cabbage farmers. The results of the study indicate that the uses of pesticide as production inputs on tomato commodities, Chinese cabbage and cauliflower are not technically efficient. It is suggested to farmers to use pesticide input according to the rules, proper dosage, on target, on time, the right way so that pesticide used is technically efficient.

The internal structure analysis of radial tires is of great significance to improve vehicle safety and during tire research. In order to perform the digital analysis and detection of the internal composition in radial tire cross-sections, a detection method based on digital image processing was proposed. The research was carried out as follows: (a) the distribution detection and parametric analysis of the bead wire, steel belt, and carcass in the tire section were performed by means of digital image processing, connected domain extraction, and Hough transform; (b) using the angle of location distribution and area relationship, the detection data were optimized through coordinate and quantity relationship constraints; (c) a detection system for tire cross-section components was designed using the MATLAB platform. Our experimental results showed that this method displayed a good detection performance, and important practical significance for the research and manufacture of tires.
