Modeling Cancer Registration Processes with an Enhanced Activity Diagram

Summary Objectives: Adequate instruments are needed to reflect the complexity of routine cancer registry operations properly in a business model. The activity diagram is a key instrument of the Unified Modeling Language (UML) for the modeling of business processes. The authors aim to improve descriptions of processes in cancer registration, as well as in other public health domains, through the enhancements of an activity diagram notation within the standard semantics of UML. Methods: The authors introduced the practical approach to enhance a conventional UML activity diagram, complementing it with the following business process concepts: timeline, duration for individual activities, responsibilities for individual activities within swimlanes, and descriptive text. Results: The authors used an enhanced activity diagram for modeling surveillance processes in the cancer registration domain. Specific example illustrates the use of an enhanced activity diagram to visualize a process of linking cancer registry records with external mortality files. Conclusions: Enhanced activity diagram allows for the addition of more business concepts to a single diagram and can improve descriptions of processes in cancer registration, as well as in other domains. Additional features of an enhanced activity diagram allow to advance the visualization of cancer registration processes. That, in turn, promotes the clarification of issues related to the process timeline, responsibilities for particular operations, and collaborations among process participants. Our first experiences in a cancer registry best practices development workshop setting support the usefulness of such an approach.

Service fulfillment for clients increasingly involves cooperation between information technology (IT) systems. Designing such solutions requires an architectural approach that ensures symmetry between the communicating parties. For the design of such systems, the author introduces the 1+5 architectural views model. The model contains three new architectural views. For business process modeling, it ensures the integrated processes view. Integration aspects cover two additional views: integrated services, and contracts. Moreover, new stereotypes and tagged values have been added to the unified modeling language (UML). The author has introduced two profiles: UML profile for integration flows, and UML profile for distributed ledger deployment. Communication between systems requires flows that arrange mediation mechanisms. The paper describes an integration flow diagram that extends a UML activity diagram. In the case of blockchain, the author has proposed the smart contract design pattern. The paper describes three case studies that have employed the model to design various solutions. The 1+5 model has proven to be well suited for designing both centralized integration environments with enterprise service bus (ESB) and distributed blockchain solutions with peer-to-peer (P2P) connections.

As Unified Modeling Language (UML) activity diagrams capture the key system behavior, the UML activity diagram is well suited for the system level testing of systems. In this paper, first an activity flow graph is derived from activity diagram. Then, all the required information is extracted from the activity flow graph (AFG). The activity flow graph (AFG) for the activity diagram is created by traversing the activity diagram from beginning to end, showing choices, conditions, concurrent executions, loop statements. From the graph different control flow sequence are identified by traversing the AFG by depth first traversal technique. Next, an algorithm is proposed to generate all activity paths. Finally, test cases are generated using activity path coverage criteria. Here, a case study on Soft drink Vending Machine (SVM) has been presented to illustrate our approach.

Yoga Farm is a Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) that focuses on catfish breeding that is still doing business processes manually. With this process, information received by related parties is very difficult to obtain quickly. Therefore, the product is still not widely known, and customers are still few because the system used in sales and promotions still uses a manual system. The research method used is qualitative. This study aims to create a sales information system recommended at Yoga Farm and design using Unified modeling language (UML) for the recommended business processes. Customers will get product information in real-time, products can be widely recognized, and the number of Yoga Farm customers can increase. Based on the results of this study, adoption of a web-based sales information system can certainly make it easier to get the latest information quickly, can expand the market and can also facilitate customers in the transaction. For future research, this research can be used as a reference for conducting similar studies at other MSMEs to increase sales

Bahasa Jepang merupakan salah satu bahasa yang banyak digemari dan dipelajari. Meskipun sangat digemari, banyak orang yang tetap merasa kesulitan mempelajari bahasa Jepang karena bentuk tulisannya yang rumit dan tata bahasanya sangat jauh berbeda dengan bahasa Indonesia. Salah satu pengembangan media pembelajaran yang dapat membantu pemula dalam belajar bahasa Jepang adalah game edukasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan Game Edukasi Nihongo Benkyou Berbasis Android. (2) untuk mengetahui respon pengguna terhadap Game Edukasi Nihongo Benkyou Berbasis Android. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluations ). Perancangan aplikasi Game Edukasi Nihongo Benkyou Berbasis Android telah berhasil dilakukan dengan menggunakan model fungsional berupa UML (Unified Modeling Languange), yaitu dengan menggunakan use case diagram dan activity diagram. Hasil penelitian ini adalah aplikasi yang diimplementasikan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman C# dengan editor Unity. Fitur yang terdapat pada Game Edukasi Nihongo Benkyou meliputi fitur belajar dan bermain. Dalam fitur belajar terdapat materi pengenalan huruf, kosakata, serta pola percakapan sedangkan pada fitur bermain, materi yang dipelajari diujikan dalam mode permainan. Seluruh fitur yang terdapat pada Game Edukasi Nihongo Benkyou ini sudah berjalan dengan baik. Respon pengguna terhadap Game Edukasi Nihongo Benkyou masuk dalam rentangan sangat baik.Kata Kunci : Bahasa Jepang, Game Edukasi, Nihongo Benkyou, ADDIE, Android Japanese is one of the most favorite and popular language learned by many people in the world. Even though it is popular, many people feel that it is difficult to learn Japanese because of its complicated written text and grammar which are too much different from Indonesian. One of the educational media that can be developed to help the beginners learning Japanese is an Educational Game. This research was aimed: (1) to design and implement Nihongo Benkyou Educational Game based on Android (2) to find out the user’s respond to Nihongo Benkyou Educational Game based on Android. The method used in this study was research and development. Nihongo Benkyou Educational Game based on Android was developed by using ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluations ) model. The design of this Nihongo Benkyou Educational Game has been successfully created by using functional model named UML (Unified Modeling Language), which is by using use case and activity diagram. Meanwhile, there were two features in this Nihongo Benkyou Educational Game, they were learning and playing features. In the learning features, there were knowledge about Japanese characters introduction, as well as vocabulary and grammar. Then in playing feature, the knowledge were tested in form of game mode. The result of this study was an application which is implemented by using C# programming language with Unity editor. All the fitures contained in Nihongo Benkyou Educational Game were running well. Pusat Kesehatan Masyarakat (Puskesmas) merupakan kesatuan organisasi fungsional yang menyelenggarakan upaya kesehatan yang bersifat menyeluruh, terpadu, merata dapat diterima dan terjangkau oleh masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membuat Aplikasi Sistem Pakar untuk mendeteksi penyakit kulit pada balita sesuai dengan data-data yang ada pada Puskesmas. Metode pengembangan sistem yang digunakan yaitu metode Extreme Programing (XP) dengan tahapan pengerjaan meliputi planning, design, coding dan testing. Sistem dirancang dengan menggunakan Unified Modeling Language (UML) yang meliputi use case, activity diagram, dan class diagram, perangkat lunak yang digunakan adalah PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) dengan database MySQL dan menggunakan metode Naïve Bayes dan Forward Chaining. Hasil akhir dari pembuatan Aplikasi ini adalah memudahkan pasien, dokter dan bidan mendeteksi penyakit kulit pada balita di Puskesmas

Posyandu (Pos Layanan Terpadu) Kasih Bunda II merupakan pelayanan masyarakat yang bergerak pada bidang kesehatan balita. Posyandu ini memberikan pelayanan kesehatan seperti pengukuran berat badan, tinggi badan, pemberian vitamin A, pemberian obat cacing dan pemberian imunisasi dasar untuk balita. Pencatatan posyandu menggunakan media penulisan, sehingga membutuhkan 1 hari untuk menyelesaikan pencatatan posyandu dan merekap ulang data. Beberapa informasi tentang posyandu tidak tersalurkan seperti sulitnya mendeteksi perkembangan balita karena tidak ada laporan yang mendukung (harus memilah satu persatu data balita). Salah satunya dalam pengisian Kartu Menuju Sehat (KMS) balita, pengisian dapat dibuat lebih efektif dan efisien dengan dibuat secara digital, pengisian KMS tidak perlu melewati tahap yang panjang karena pencatatan, perhitungan, pelaporan terlalu rumit dengan buku-buku laporan yang banyak. Berdasarkan masalah tersebut maka dilakukan pembangunan sistem informasi menggunakan metode waterfall sistem dibangun menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan Database MySQL. Sistem informasi ini dirancang dengan sistem UML (Unified Modeling Language) yang terdiri dari Usecase Diagram, Activity Diagram, Sequence Diagram dan Class Diagram serta menggunakan Entity Relationship Diagram. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah sebuah sistem informasi berbasis web yang mampu mengelola data posyandu dan membantu pelaksanaan posyandu serta menyimpan arsip-arsip posyandu. Mendapatkan laporan semua balita, data kunjungan balita dan laporan grafik status gizi balita untuk orang tua.

Dit Intelkam Polda Riau menyelenggarakan fungsi untuk memberikan pelayanan kepada masyarakat yaitu pelayanan pengurusan Surat Keterangan Catatan Kepolisian (SKCK). Pengurusan SKCK ini dilakukan dengan mendatangi langsung kantor Dit Intelkam Polda Riau. Proses pembuatan SKCK pada Dit Intelkam Polda Riau, saat ini telah menggunakan database dalam penyimpanan datanya. Namun kelemahannya yaitu data lama pemohon akan hilang apabila belum dilakukannya perpanjangan oleh pemohon sebelum masa berlakunya habis. Hal ini disebabkan karena data lama yang tertimpa oleh data baru yang di-input-kan ke database.Selain itu SKCK yang lama juga tidak mempunyai sistem keamanan sehingga data SKCK tersebut dapat disalahgunakan oleh pihak yang tidak bertanggung jawab. Permohonan penerbitan SKCK pada Dit Intelkam Polda Riau bisa mencapai 200 penerbitan perharinya dengan kategori high section yaitu jumlah bagian dengan penerbitan tertinggi dalam satu hari. Sedangkan untuk pengurusan dalam pertahun dari Tahun 2016 pengurusan bisa mencapai sebanyak 30.000 lembar.Sistem ini menggunakan keamanan barcode, dimana barcode tersebut mempunyai informasi didalamnya yaitu: nama, nomor NIK, tujuan dan masa berlaku SKCK. Metode pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu System Development Life Cycle Model Waterfall yang menggunakan tiga buah diagram Unified Modeling Language (UML), yaitu: usecasediagram, activity diagram dan sequence diagramserta memanfaatkan penggunaan ERD dalam pembuatan database. Pembangunan sistem dilakukan menggunakan beberapa aplikasi pendukung yaitu: PHP dan MySQL,Sublime Text 3, Javascript, dan HTML.Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat memberikan keamanan terhadap data SKCK pemohon dan dapat mempermudah Admin Kepolisian Daerah dalam proses pembuatan surat SKCK

Abstract In today’s highly competitive and rapidly changing environment, e-businesses constantly have to modify their business processes, i.e. the flow of documents and tasks in a business also known as workflow. More flexible Workflow Management Systems are required to support these constantly changing processes. In this research a platform independent architecture for the design of e-workflow systems is illustrated. The architecture includes an information pool, namely a Workflow Pattern Repository, which contains patterns, which are repeatable solutions to reoccurring problems, in order to make the system more apt to change and assist the workflow designer/user in defining workflows faster and more accurately. The patterns in the repository are in the form of UML activity diagram templates. A straightforward input format for storing patterns in the repository is provided along with an example of its practical application.

With people pay more and more attention to component software testing, the generation of test case is as one of the important works of software testing, it becomes a hotspot inevitably. For component software testing, making combination of the testing method based on model and testing method based on Genetic Algorithm, this paper proposes a generating method of test case which based on UML (Unified Modeling Language) activity diagram and Genetic Algorithm, and gives the overall design and implementation steps of the method. Then this paper applies the proposed method to model the adding table business in catering management system, and design test case. The example verifies the feasibility and validity of the method.
