Engaging in collaborative inquiry creates a shared authorship in storytelling, but does not ensure that the final report will reflect the plurality of voices that contributed to the narrative. This paper describes how involving respondents in the research design, data analysis, and dissemination of research findings enables researchers to ensure equal representation of perspectives of individuals involved in health research.

Although the last 20years have seen a focus upon evidence-based therapies, there are arguments that much of the so-called “evidence” produced is, in fact, irrelevant to the mental health practitioner in the field, principally because of the use of large-scale group designs in clinical controlled studies of the effectiveness of one therapy over another. By contrast, and with particular relevance to the practitioner who is both scientist and therapist, single subject research designs and methodologies for data analysis can be applied in ways that allow for generalisation to everyday practice. To inform the readership, the rationale underlying n = 1 studies is described, with some explanation of the major designs and their application to typical cases in guidance and counselling. Issues of inferential deductions from data, variations of design, data analysis via visual and statistical procedures, and replication are discussed. Finally, a case is argued for the introduction of n = 1 reports within the Australian Journal of Guidance and Counselling to better inform the readership about clinical research findings relevant to their practices.

Purpose of the study: This research was conducted to discover primary school pupils’ use of SM in their life. Methodology: Data were collected using a survey research design through the questionnaire. A set of comprises six parts were given to a group of purposive sampling comprises 50 Primary 5 pupils in a rural primary school, Sarawak, Malaysia. Main Findings: Data analysis showed that there were three most used social media by the pupils which are Facebook, WhatsApp, and YouTube. The findings also revealed that 94% of the respondents believed that SM is one of the best ways to practice English, specifically in writing. Moreover, the findings also showed that the respondents (60% - 80%) considered themselves: prefer to use English; like using English; feel comfortable and awesome to write in English on SM; and like to copy the interesting words, phrases or sentence from SM in their books. Applications of this study: The research findings can be referred by other researchers especially educators who conduct researches of the same field. Novelty/Originality of this study: In this research, the focus is placed on studying the use of SM among pupils in a rural primary school in Sarawak, Malaysia.

<p>Clustering is a technique to turn a broad subject into a limited and more manageable topic for short essay or text. It is a technique that can be used to generate ideas in writing. It is also known as diagramming, webbing, looping or mapping. Therefore, the research aims at finding out empirical evidence concerning whether clustering technique is effective or not for students to write a recount text. The method used in this research was quantitative, and the research design was a quasi-experiment. The sample of this research was the tenth grade students of SMK Mahadika 1 Ciracas Jakarta. The experimental class is from X AP 1, and the control class is from and X AP 3 with 30 students from each class. Based on data analysis, the range score from experimental class is 57-86, while from control class is 50-84. Furthermore, the research findings shows that tcount = 3.098 and ttable= 2,002 with the significance degree of ? = 0,05 (tcount  &gt; ttable). Sincetcount  is higher than ttable, it means that H1 is accepted. It can be concluded that there is a significant effect of using clustering technique towards students’ writing skill in recount text.</p><p>Keywords: Clustering Technique, Writing Skill, Recount Text</p>

Creative, visual and multimodal research methods are commonly employed by sociologists in the ‘outward-facing’ activities of data collection, presentation and dissemination of research findings; however, they are rarely applied to the ‘inward-facing’ research practices of conceptualisation and research design. Responding to Pierre Bourdieu’s calls for methodological pluralism in sociology and for the construction of the object to be rigorously undertaken in every moment of research, I explore how such methods can be used by the researcher as effective thinking tools to enhance the creativity and quality of conceptual work as a precursor to empirical investigation. I investigate the affordances of this approach using a creative research method – storyboarding – to examine trust. Although empirical research commonly cites trust as an explanatory factor, its meaning is ambiguous and contested. Based on three imagined trust dilemmas developed with the involvement of a visual artist, I demonstrate how a visual creative process can encourage consistent attention to the construction of the research object. It also speculatively reveals new facets of phenomena and supports reflexive attention to the researcher’s relation to the object of research. I argue for sociological thinking to engage an eclectic range of visual and creative forms as legitimate tools capable of extending rigour and creativity.

The main problem in this research is how the ability of children to write hijaiyah letters before and after using hijaiyah card media, is there any constraints on using hijaiyah card media in writing hijaiyah letters, is there any influence of hijaiyah letter cards on children's ability to write hijaiyah letters. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of children to write Hijaiyah letters before and after using hijaiyah letter media, to find out the constraints in using hijaiyah letter media in writing hijaiyah letters, the influence of hijaiyah letter media on children's ability to write hijaiyah letters. Letter cards are the use of a number of cards as a tool for learning to read by seeing and remembering the shape of letters. This research was conducted in RA Ath Thoha Cipedes Subdistrict, Panglayungan Village which aims to describe differences in the ability to write hijaiyyah letters in the control class and in the experimental class in children aged 5-6 years using hijaiyyah letter cards. Subjects in this study were children aged 5-6 years. This research uses a quantitative approach with the research method in Experimental Design. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, documentation, questionnaires. The research findings show that from the results of data analysis the influence of the use of hijaiyyah letter media on early childhood writing skills in RA Ath Thoha Tasikmalaya. Chow illustrates the important role played by significance testing in the evaluation of research findings. Statistics and the goals of research should be treated as both interrelated and separate parts of the research evaluation process – a message that will benefit all who read Chow's book. The arguments are especially pertinent to the debate over the relative merits of confidence intervals and significance tests.

Although patient engagement in research is widely touted as an important foundation for improving the relevance and sustainability of research findings, there is little consensus on how to do it in practice. This article describes our research team’s experiences working with and engaging parents throughout the entire research process to reach full partnership in the identification, management, and dissemination of research. Our report of these experiences includes lessons learned along the way regarding how healthcare and research organizations can better support researchers and patients to achieve successful partnerships.
