The COVID-19 pandemic has encouraged a deeper exploration about how people deal with crisis. This paper presents one of the first pre- and during-pandemic assessments of urban green infrastructure (UGI) use across the same individuals with the aim of better understanding how people's use of different types of urban green and blue spaces changed during the pandemic. A baseline Public Participation GIS survey (N = 1,583 respondents) conducted in August 2018 was followed up in May 2020 (N = 418 identical respondents) during the COVID-19 pandemic in Helsinki, Finland. We found that residents were more likely to visit UGI closer to their home during the pandemic compared with before the pandemic. Patterns of use of UGI were associated with the quality of residential green areas, for example, people sought out forests nearby one's domicile and tended to avoid parks and recreation areas in order to escape the pressures of lockdown, socially distance and avoid overcrowding. However, spatial cluster analyses also revealed that the places mapped by intensive users of natural recreational areas and more outdoor oriented users became more dispersed during the pandemic, suggesting their active search for new types of UGI, including use of agricultural land and residential areas with high tree density cover. Our results further highlighted that some types of UGI such as more distant natural and semi-natural areas and blue spaces serve as critical infrastructure both before and during the pandemic. Natural and semi-natural areas experienced very little change in use. The presented results have implications for how planners design and manage green spaces to enable residents to cope with crises like pandemics into the future.

ABSTRACTLibraries have an important role in the field of education, for research purposes, preservation of information resources and recreation areas. Libraries also have a role in increasing the intelligence and empowerment of the nation, as a human person who always wants to advance and the development of institutions that are increasingly experiencing intense competition. This study seeks to see the role of the library in improving the quality of elementary schools at SDIT Salsabila 2 Klaseman, both with regard to student achievement and the progress of the institution. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative, data collection is done by looking directly at the object of research (direct observation) interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that libraries have an important role in improving the quality of elementary schools such as the development of library facilities; there is a special room, a growing collection of books, modern service systems, air-conditioned room facilities, computers and LCD projectors are available and also supports children's achievements in winning several championships including in the PAI quiz competition and the MIPA OlympiadKeywords: Quality Improvement of Elementary Schools: The Role of Libraries

Purpose This study began with the following question: how hospitality concepts have contributed to the quality of cities and to the qualification of urban tourist destinations. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to analyze the historical evolution of the concepts of hospitality and their implications in the contemporary concept of the hospitality of the built space. Design/methodology/approach In this study an analytical empirical approach was used, focusing on the concepts and paradigms that support the studies of the hospitality of built space. The method was based on the representation of hospitality as spatial reading indexes according to the categories of analysis: identity, accessibility, and readability, as stated by Grinover (2007), Raymond (1997) and Lynch (1997). The empirical study, in the Brazilian context, took as its object of analysis the urban hospitality of the three cities that were capitals of Brazil throughout its history: Salvador da Bahia, Rio de Janeiro and Brasília. Findings The results of the research confirm the pertinence of the categories of analysis proposed for the understanding of hospitality of the built space and proposes other categories of analysis related to accessibility in its interfaces with identity and readability. Practical implications This study can contribute with new understandings in the field of the hospitality of the built space as support to public managers and trade tourist managers that can give quality to the urban space for tourists, and for the citizens as well. Because, in the Brazilian context, the formulation of public policies for public transport services, mobility, accessibility and recreation areas are linked to public managers; in the same way that private initiatives and incentives for leisure, entertainment, and tourism are linked to the managers of the tourist trade. Originality/value New possibilities of the understanding of urban hospitality in tourist destinations by the categories of analysis listed – identity, readability and accessibility. Accessibility was the spatial condition that most needed attention as urban hospitality in the Brazilian tourist destinations studied. Otherwise, a contribution was made to the area of study in urban hospitality, given the scarcity of scientific literature on the subject.

The purpose of parks and recreation as well as public health is to seek the highest possible quality of life for individuals and communities. Unfortunately, little discourse has occurred between the parks and recreation and public health professions. This missed opportunity has resulted in an incomplete understanding of the spectrum of issues shared by the fields, a slow transdisciplinary learning curve, and a dearth of knowledge-based linkages between science and practice. The goal of the 2006 Cooper Institute Conference on Parks, Recreation, and Public Health: Collaborative Frameworks for Promoting Physical Activity was to highlight opportunities and advance cooperation between parks, recreation, and public health researchers and practitioners that result in collaborations that influence public health decisions at the macro (agency) and micro (individual) levels. This article introduces the discussion on scientific and practice issues in parks, recreation, and public health. By establishing a baseline of frameworks for strengthening collaboration we hope to improve the health and quality of life through parks and recreation-based physical activity.

Recreational sands are important places for human interaction, despite the risk to public health as a result of being exposed to the accumulation of bacteria, fungi, viruses and parasites due to daily exposure to waste produced by users, human secretions and animal excrement. The objective of this study was to perform the microbiological and parasitic analysis of 16 sandboxes for recreation in the municipality of Sinop-MT. The evaluations included: enumeration of total and thermotolerant coliforms, identification of Escherichia coli and endoparasites research. Of the samples surveyed, 68,75% (11/16) presented contamination by total coliforms and 43,75% (7/16) presented contamination by thermotolerant coliforms. The presence of Escherichia coli was detected in seven (43,75%) of the samples, and no contamination was detected by helminth eggs, but three samples (18,75%) were contaminated by larvae of the filiform and rabditoid type. In this way it is evident that the recreation areas of Sinop municipality have contamination that exposes the population to risk of infections, being necessary a better monitoring and hygiene so that it has an improvement of quality of these areas.

Glades and lawns beautify any forest-park area, and therefore, when developing them, it is necessary to take into account the size and configuration, relief, path net-work, placement of shrubs and tree species as well as the quality of the grass cover. In small recreation areas or in arboretums, it is advisable to create lawns, not glades. It should be emphasized that there is practically no infor-mation on the processes of the formation of moisture con-tent regimes in soil profiles under glades or lawns in an arboretum. Therefore, the study of moisture accumulation and movement in the genetic horizons of chernozem is a topical issue. It follows from the analysis of the actual data that in early June 2014there was a significant moistening of the humus horizon of the chernozem under the grass cover. But at the end of the month, the amount of available moisture dropped sharply and continued to decrease in July and August. This caused soil moisture deficit that could only be met by irrigation. The year of 2016 was gen-erally wetter although in May the moisture content in the upper humus horizon was low. The drop of moisture con-tent in chernozem continued until mid-June when available moisture decreased to unsatisfactory values. From the end of June, regular rainfall has dramatically increased the available moisture that remained very good until the end of the growing season. As a result, a significant deficit of available moisture was observed only in late May and early June. In June 2017, the available moisture in the humus-accumulative horizon was satisfactory. But in the illuvial horizon, the moisture reserves were evaluated as good and irrigation was not required. Thus, for the research period only in 2014 it was required to irrigate the chernozem soil profile in the glade under grass cover.

The tourism industry is the leading and most dynamic industry in the global economy. In many countries, tourism plays a significant role in the formation of GDP, and provides additional jobs for the population. The tourism industry is one of the important structures of a number of developed countries and therefore the development of this industry is necessary for Ukraine. Greece is known for its fascinating history and natural beauties. Greece has successfully developed tourism since the middle of the last century, and therefore its experience can help Ukraine make this industry one of the main in the structure of the national economy. The article explores the experience of Greece in the development of the tourism industry and the possibility of its use in Ukraine; analyzes the current state of development of the tourism industry in Greece and Ukraine. It substantiates the possibility of using the experience of Greece in the development of the tourism industry of Ukraine. The subject of this article is the possibility of using the experience of Greece in Ukraine. The goal is to provide a scientific and theoretical justification for using the experience of tourism development in Greece in Ukraine. Tasks: to explore the current state of the tourism industry in Ukraine and Greece; to identify the possibilities of using the experience of development of the tourism industry of Greece in Ukraine. General scientific methods are used: systemic, descriptive, comparative and structural-logical analysis. The following results were obtained: based on the study, it was revealed the feasibility of using the experience of Greece in the Ukrainian tourism industry. Conclusions: the launch of specially designed programs to increase capacity, as well as improve the quality of hotels and other objects. We need to attract investors to the development of hotels, transport, theme parks and recreation areas, for this we need to make convenient and easy conditions for investment. Ukraine needs to pay attention to improving the service and tourism infrastructure, has a low level of quality, for this it is necessary to review and change state standards and requirements for accommodation facilities, which are very outdated and therefore it is necessary to change them to more modern European standards. It will be advisable to mitigate visa formalities for those countries that are now the main suppliers of tourists, as well as for those countries that may be "promising" suppliers of tourists.
