During the pandemic process that has been going on for more than a year since the pandemic period was declared in 2020, the troubles and restrictions faced by people negatively affect the morale motivation of people. In this study, the definition of recreation areas, which are the leading places where people feel happy and peaceful, has been defined, what they contain is mentioned, and the adequacy of the recreational areas has been discussed in the survey and it has been determined that they are one of the most important needs in the cities. In the example of the recreation area of Çubuk-1 dam, it was investigated whether there is a change in the attitudes and behaviors of people before and after the pandemic, not face to face due to the pandemic, but through a voluntary survey based on social media. Although individuals thought that it was crowded after the pandemic, they preferred to use the recreation area of Çubuk-1 dam by paying attention to mask, distance and hygiene rules. The positive effects of physical activity, socialization, and outdoor travel on health are generally accepted by individuals. During the pandemic process, it has been observed that people have changed the way they spend their free time and the places they want to be, as they are overwhelmed by staying in their homes due to the prohibitions. The psychological and physical positive effects of recreation areas on human health and the changes caused by the pandemic in people's attitudes and behaviors paralleled the responses of the participants to the questionnaire.

Abstract Millions of people worldwide, and especially schoolchildren, may be infected by geohelminths due to their exposure to a contaminated environment. The aim of this study was to evaluate soil contamination by Ancylostoma spp. and Toxocara spp. eggs in recreation areas at elementary schools in Pelotas, state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Sand samples were collected from 22 schools and were processed using the centrifugal flotation method. Helminth eggs with zoonotic potential were found in 12 out of the 22 schools (54.5%). Contamination by Ancylostoma spp. and Toxocara spp. was observed in 36.4% (8/22) and 27.3% (6/22) of the soil samples collected at these schools, respectively. These findings of eggs show that the school communities are exposed to risks of zoonotic transmission.

Land-use change for examining the expansion of built-up and recreation, required effective techniques of spatial assessment, especially in areas with limited space such as Koh Chang island in Thailand which needed to be emphasized. The research objectives were to study land-use patterns in Koh Chang area in Trat province from 2000-2020, and study land-use change, especially the expansion of buildings and recreation area during that period, using geo-informatic technique. The study found that most of Koh Chang is forest land, up to 80% of the island, but the trend is declining. On the other hand, the area that has increased in number is built-up and recreation, which has increased from 7.22 km2 to 18.28 km2 and up to 253.19% in the past 20 years. The efficiency of geo-informatic technology can extract useful information, especially spatial data on land-use change. Therefore, it is known from which areas built-up and recreation areas are transformed in order to bring such information into a spatial database system for supporting decision-making in directing, monitoring and controlling areas for further expansion of tourism business in order not to create an impact on the environment.

The work is devoted to the study of the gamma background in the urban environment of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (Kamchatka Territory), namely in parks and recreation areas. Measurements of the absorbed dose rate were carried out on a scintillation organic dosimeter developed by the team of the Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU), which is a more budgetary analogue of the BDKG-01. In order to calculate the correction factor for converting the dosimeter readings from impulses/s to nSv/h, a number of calibration measurements were carried out with point sources of gamma radiation – 60Co and 137 Cs. The developed dosimeter carried out measurements with a duration of at least 5 minutes in various districts of the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, special attention was paid to the study of technosphere objects made of materials that are natural sources of increased gamma radiation. Studies have shown that the monument to V. I. Lenin and the stele « City of Military Glory » in the center of the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky contain granites at their base, which give an overestimated gamma background.

Optimization of the environment by means of landscaping is one of the most important scientific, social and economic tasks of today. Historical and contemporary public spaces are currently undergoing rapid change and this raises concerns about negative consequences. The basis for writing the article were the conclusions and main provisions of scientific works of recent years. Attention paid to landscape issues at different urban planning hierarchical levels. The object is determined according to the typology of landscape and recreational objects of T. Panchenko. We present materials to clarify the requirements for the formation of parks and places of temporary recreation in the historical districts of the city in a useful article for research, authors K. Zhikhareva and Professor O. Sleptsov. The purpose of the article. Based on the analysis of landscape and recreational spaces of European cities to formulate the characteristics of temporary recreation areas in the central areas of cities.  New recreational public spaces in the central areas of European cities of Poland, Austria, Latvia and Czech Republic – the result of architectural and landscape competitions. The main characteristics of the architectural and planning organization depend on the compositional features of the historical environment. Article present author's photographs of the exploration of the central zone of Warsaw. Highlighted the main requirements and restrictions from regulatory sources to ensure the physical, bioclimatic, psychological, aesthetic comfort of residents. The main characteristics of the architectural and planning organization depend on the compositional features of the historical environment. Author’s field survey of the central zone of Warsaw determined. Allocate the basic requirements and restrictions from normative sources for maintenance of physical, bioclimatic, psychological, aesthetic comfort of inhabitants. The possibility of creating universal characteristics is considered. The issue that needs to be addressed in the reconstruction of greenery: architectural and landscape assessment to identify the compositional potential of the territory, the main functional areas and species points. For temporary recreation in the central areas of cities, small gardens and squares have the following characteristics: openness, nonlinearity and dispersion.

Abstract The article deals with water management complexes, including hydraulic structures and reservoirs. The purpose of the study is to identify the attractiveness, significance and potential of such complexes as objects of recreational and ecological tourism. The analysis of unique hydrotechnical objects of different countries of the world is carried out. The features of their designs and ways to increase the attractiveness of objects for tourists are shown. The simplest and most common method of increasing the recreational potential of a water management facility is the arrangement of species sites. It is much less common to arrange organized recreation areas for participants of the natural tourism route using hydraulic structures or separate entertainment attractions for tourists. Significantly more complex complexes with the inclusion of high-and medium-pressure dams are typical for recreational park areas. A separate group includes objects that serve as historical and educational sites or monuments of history, culture and technology. Thus, the analysis revealed a wide variety of uses of hydrotechnical objects as attractive places for recreation and eco-tourism. The conclusion is made about the expediency of the development of the considered areas of use of water management complexes.

In Medan, flats do not utilize neighborhood space as an urban farming area.  In general, flats have a high density of occupants, inflexible designs, and the relationship between one door to another door is relatively close so that communal space is needed. Communal space is a space that functions as a place for social interaction activities for its residents. This flat design has green open spaces such as neighborhood space that can be used as communal spaces both socially and economically productively (urban farming) because flats require both functions. The design approach process used in this design is primary data collection through a field study process and physical data collection that supports scientific and factual data processing. The design analysis was carried out based on the results of literature review and data collection to identify the character of the design area, problems that arise, limitations and potentials, functional requirements, then conduct a review of the regional development plan. This flat is designed using an Ecological Architecture approach to reduce environmental problems in urban areas. The design creates a flat that considers the needs of communal space, green open space, and recreation areas to meet the needs of users. This design can create facilities for the community and become a tourist attraction.

The relevance of the study is conditioned by the fact that an architectural conservation area, as a rule, is part of the central territory of the city, which is subject to a special regime of protection of historical and cultural heritage and the status of the land of historical and cultural designation. Nowadays, in the structure of historical cities, there are a number of architectural conservation areas of both national and local significance, for which a special role is played by the unity and complexity of measures to preserve the historical planning structure and architectural substance. Preserving and increasing the historical and cultural values of the nature reserves environment is crucial for creating attractive interactive recreation areas. At the same time, it is of particular importance to determine the trends of interactive recreation in the conservation areas in the entire historical process to further develop the recreational opportunities of public urban spaces. The purpose of the study is to determine the attractions and recreational capacity, richness and diversity of elements of architectural and urban heritage in the territories of the conservation areas, which together constitute the potential for optimal development of the interactive recreation system.

Abstract The Covid-19 pandemic occurred suddenly and shocked the world in early 2020. However, this situation was exacerbated due to the unpreparedness of the government and local governments in dealing with it. Increasing readiness in prevention and handling is important in increasing regional preparedness to face pandemics. One of the efforts to increase readiness is by providing patient isolation and quarantine buildings, with the aim of controlling the spread of disease. However, it will be more efficient if a building is converted to an isolation and quarantine building during a pandemic. This study aims to identify the ideal criteria for isolation and quarantine for patients and suspects during a pandemic or epidemic. It is hoped that in the future, which buildings can be identified in the city of Semarang that have the potential to be converted into isolation and quarantine buildings. The research was conducted to determine the covid-19 quarantine facility considering the perceptions of experts who are skilled and have experience in the health sector. The variables used were location, accessibility, ventilation, basic functional infrastructure, space for facilities, recreation areas, and contact health monitoring areas. The method used in this research is a quantitative method using the Pairwise Comparison Analysis in Incomplete Analytic Hierarchy Process.
