This paper considers the fuzzy viscoelastic model with a nonlinear source u t t + L u + ∫ 0 t g t − ζ Δ u ζ d ζ − u γ u − η Δ u t = 0 in a bounded field Ω. Under weak assumptions of the function g t , with the aid of Mathematica software, the computational technique is used to construct the auxiliary functionals and precise priori estimates. As time goes to infinity, we prove that the solution is global and energy decays to zero in two different ways: the exponential form and the polynomial form.

To describe the data on hadron production at high energies in the midarapidity region and not large transverse momenta [Formula: see text], we modify the simple exponential form of the [Formula: see text]-spectrum. The hadron [Formula: see text]-spectrum is presented in two parts due to the contributions of quarks and gluons, each of them has different energy dependence. The suggested approach alows us to describe rather satisfactorily the inclusive spectra of hadrons produced in [Formula: see text] collisions at energies from the AGS up to LHC.

We have prepared W/O/W-type microcapsules with polyureaurethane wall membrane and aqueous core containing methylene blue by means of the double emulsification method and the effect of the rate of agitation at the twice emulsification on the release of methylene blue to dispersing methanol was examined. The release curve was expressed fairly well by the streched exponential form: where C(t) and Ceq are the concentrations of methylene blue in the dispersing methanol at time t and at the equilibrium state, respectively. The time constant τ increased and the exponent α decreased with increasing the rate of agitation at the second emulsification, whereas τ decreased and α was constant with increasing the rate of agitation at the first emulsification. These differences are discussed from a viewpoint of inhomogeneity of the microcapsule wall membrane.

A three-dimensional stress-strain relationship derived from a strain energy function of the exponential form is proposed for the arterial wall. The material constants are identified from experimental data on rabbit arteries subjected to inflation and longitudinal stretch in the physiological range. The objectives are: 1) to show that such a procedure is feasible and practical, and 2) to call attention to the very large variations in stresses and strains across the vessel wall under the assumptions that the tissue is incompressible and stress-free when all external load is removed.

Weighted sums defined on a Markov chain (MC) are important in applications (e.g. to reservoir storage theory). The rather intractable theory of such sums simplifies to some extent when the transition p.d.f. of the chain {Xt} has a Laplace transform (LT) L(Xt+1; θ |Χ t=x) of the ‘exponential' form H(θ) exp{ – G(θ)x}. An algorithm is derived for the computation of the LT of Σat,Χ t for this class, and for a seasonal generalization of it.A special case of this desirable exponential type of transition LT for a continuous-state discrete-time MC is identified by comparison with the LT of the Bessel distribution. This is made the basis for a new derivation of a gamma-distributed MC proposed by Lampard (1968).A seasonal version of this process is developed, valid for any number of seasons.Reference is made to related chains with three-parameter gamma-like distributions (of the Kritskii–Menkel family) that may be generated from the above by a simple power transformation.

We consider a cosmology with decaying metastable dark energy and assume that a decay process of this metastable dark energy is a quantum decay process. Such an assumption implies among others that the evolution of the Universe is irreversible and violates the time reversal symmetry. We show that if we replace the cosmological time t appearing in the equation describing the evolution of the Universe by the Hubble cosmological scale time, then we obtain time dependent Λ(t) in the form of the series of even powers of the Hubble parameter H: Λ(t)=Λ(H). Our special attention is focused on radioactive-like exponential form of the decay process of the dark energy and on the consequences of this type decay.

We consider a generalized Brans–Dicke model in which the scalar field has a self-interacting potential function. The scalar field is also allowed to couple nonminimally with the matter part. We assume that it has a chameleon behavior in the sense that it acquires a density-dependent effective mass. We consider two different types of matter systems which couple with the chameleon, dust and vacuum. In the first case, we find a set of exact solutions when the potential has an exponential form. In the second case, we find a power-law exact solution for the scale factor. In this case, we will show that the vacuum density decays during expansion due to coupling with the chameleon.

The heat seawater method was designed and the accelerated aging tests of the neoprene were carried in laboratory. The toughness and strength of the neoprene in aging time was investigated. The rule of toughness and strength and aging time was studied. The service life prediction functions of the neoprene were established and service life at 25°C was estimated based on the index of toughness and strength. It is concluded that toughness and strength of the neoprene decreases in exponential form with aging time, and the service life of the neoprene used in sea water at 25°C is 29.5 years.

In the paper, orthogonal transforms based on proposed symmetric, orthogonal matrices are created. These transforms can be considered as generalized Walsh–Hadamard Transforms. The simplicity of calculating the forward and inverse transforms is one of the important features of the presented approach. The conditions for creating symmetric, orthogonal matrices are defined. It is shown that for the selection of the elements of an orthogonal matrix that meets the given conditions, it is necessary to select only a limited number of elements. The general form of the orthogonal, symmetric matrix having an exponential form is also presented. Orthogonal basis functions based on the created matrices can be used for orthogonal expansion leading to signal approximation. An exponential form of orthogonal, sparse matrices with variable parameters is also created. Various versions of orthogonal transforms related to the created full and sparse matrices are proposed. Fast computation of the presented transforms in comparison to fast algorithms of selected orthogonal transforms is discussed. Possible applications for signal approximation and examples of image spectrum in the considered transform domains are presented.

The development of analytical methods for viscoelastic fluid flows is challenging. Currently, this problem has been solved for particular cases of multimode differential rheological equations of media state (Giesekus, the exponential form of Phan-Tien-Tanner, eXtended Pom-Pom). We propose a parametric method that yields solutions without additional assumptions. The method is based on the parametric representation of the unknown velocity functions and the stress tensor components as a function of coordinate. Experimental flow visualization based on the SIV (smoke image velocimetry) method was carried out to confirm the obtained results. Compared to the Giesekus model, the experimental data are best predicted by the eXtended Pom-Pom model.
