Abstract This paper introduces a design scheme and key technology of a multi-channel tile-type T/R module. In order to meet the requirements of high reliability, miniaturization, lightweight and multi-functional integration, a vertical interconnection design method of high integrated multi-channel tile-type T / R module is proposed. LTCC technology is used to achieve high-density stacking of radio frequency devices, while bare chips are used to improve system integration and reliability. The module integrates 4 isolated transceiver channels with a size of 40mm×40mm×10mm, which significantly reduces the volume and weight compared to the traditional T/R module structure. The module simulation results prove that the design scheme is easy to implement and fault location maintenance, and the test results meet the design indicators.

The independent independent variables in this study as many as 89 respondents are determined by using saturated samples. To know the influence of independent variable to dependent variable partially, used t test. While to know the effect of independent variable to dependent variable simultaneously, used F test. The assumption used in the validity test is if R-count> R-table item is declared valid. The R-arithmetic shown in the table above, from each item indicates that R-arithmetic> R- table so the item is declared valid. Based on the validity test of the instrument of Leadership Style, Work Motivation, and Competence on Employee Performance, all items are declared valid and reliability test results indicate that the instrument has high reliability. This means that the eligibility criteria of the Instrument of Leadership Style, Work Motivation, Competency and Employee Performance have met the criteria of good instrument requirements, that is valid and reliable. The result of regression analysis of Leadership Style obtained by tcount = 20,91 while ttable value = 1,988 tcount> ttable proved variable of Leadership Style influence to Employee Performance. Work Motivation regression analysis obtained tcount = 17.62 while the value ttable = 1.988 tcount> ttabel proven Motivational Work variables influence on Employee Performance. Regression analysis Competence obtained value tcount = - 06.85 while ttable =1.988 so thitung> ttable and proven variable Competence have a negative effect on Employee Performance.

The authors present an experimental and analytical study of slotted-in connections for joining walls in the Masonite flexible building (MFB) system. These connections are used for splicing wall elements and for tying down uplifting forces and resisting horizontal shear forces in stabilizing walls. The connection plates are inserted in a perimeter slot in the PlyBoard™ panel (a composite laminated wood panel) and fixed mechanically with screw fasteners. The load-bearing capacity of the slotted-in connection is determined experimentally and derived analytically for different failure modes. The test results show ductile postpeak load-slip characteristics, indicating that a plastic design method can be applied to calculate the horizontal load-bearing capacity of this type of shear walls.

A computer-aided design system has been developed for hydraulic parts of pumps including impellers, bowl diffusers, volutes, and vaned return channels. The key technologies include three-dimensional (3-D) CAD modeling, automatic grid generation, CFD analysis, and a 3-D inverse design method. The design system is directly connected to a rapid prototyping production system and a flexible manufacturing system composed of a group of DNC machines. The use of this novel design system leads to a drastic reduction of the development time of pumps having high performance, high reliability, and innovative design concepts. The system structure and the design process of “Blade Design System” and “Channel Design System” are presented. Then the design examples are presented briefly based on the previous publications, which included a centrifugal impeller with suppressed secondary flows, a bowl diffuser with suppressed corner separation, a vaned return channel of a multistage pump, and a volute casing. The results of experimental validation, including flow fields measurements, were also presented and discussed briefly.

Abstract A highly accelerated life test (HALT) and highly accelerated stress test (HAST) procedure for ceramic capacitors developed by the author in the mid 1980's to early 1990's, and published in 1994, consists of a 400 Volt biased six (6) hour stress sort at 150°C (423K), a methanol current leakage test that located mechanical and structural cracks, a visual inspection at ten times (10×) magnification, and a capacitance and dissipation measurement before and after the test. In over thirty (30) years of use, there has never been a user reported in-circuit failure in industrial, military, and aerospace application at temperatures as high as 500°C (773K). However, reviewing user feedback, two concerns with the original sorting procedure are the stress is performed at 150°C (423K), and the lack of a more detailed ceramic capacitor electrical model. To address the first, the low aging temperature, the stress temperature was increased from 150°C to 300°C, in order to age ceramic solid state crystal mineral phases that may change with temperature. The test results for X7R and NP0/COG multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCC) at 300°C, are compared to the test results using the original HALT/HAST procedure at 150°C. Differences between X7R/NP0/COG and porcelain capacitors are discussed when applicable. Further, a more detailed ceramic capacitor electrical model that represents the physical and electrical characteristics of the ceramic capacitors is presented, including the electrical current leakage effects with temperature, and the carbonized residue effects from the manufacturing process.

This paper presents a novel compact Ku-band active electronically steerable antenna array design with a low-cost and integrated T/R 3D module employed for airborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) systems. The entire system adopts 3D multilayer technology with vertical interconnection to construct the hermetically packaging RF modules. By assembling different multifunctional modules into a whole multilayer board, the 3D T/R technique greatly improves the system integration and reduces implementation cost and size. Besides, a wideband circular polarized antenna array was designed in LTCC and connected to the proposed T/R modules to form a complete AESA. The whole proposed antenna system has been fabricated and experimentally investigated. Measurement results showed very good phased array performances in terms of gain, axial ratio, and radiating patterns. The low-cost, lightweight, and low-power features exhibited by the proposed design validate its applicability for weight and power constrained platforms with great electronic steering ability.

The design method of electroosmosis-vacuum preloading for soft foundation treatment is not systematic and complete, thereby restricting the application of the technology in engineering. A design method for the electroosmosis-vacuum preloading treatment of sand-interlayered soft foundation is therefore presented. A compressible electrical prefabricated vertical drain is developed, and a vacuum sealing and draining system is designed for the application of the electroosmosis-vacuum preloading in sand-interlayered soft foundation. Calculation formulas of site resistance considering the interlayer and interface resistivity of the electrode are established to design the power supply and electrical circuit. A simple numerical simulation method is proposed to predict the ground settlement treated by electroosmosis-vacuum preloading. A field test of electroosmosis-vacuum preloading is designed using the suggested method, and comparison tests between the electroosmosis-vacuum preloading and the vacuum preloading are performed to verify the proposed technique. The test results show that the proposed design method is reasonable for the design of electroosmosis-vacuum preloading in engineering.
