The goal of this experimental study is to manufacture a bolted GFRP flange connection for composite pipes with high strength and performance. A mould was designed and manufactured, which ensures the quality of the composite materials and controls its surface grade. Based on the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section X, this GFRP flange was fabricated using biaxial glass fibre braid and polyester resin in a vacuum infusion process. In addition, many experiments were carried out using another mould made of glass to solve process-related issues. Moreover, an investigation was conducted to compare the drilling of the GFRP flange using two types of tools; an Erbauer diamond tile drill bit and a Brad & Spur K10 drill. Six GFRP flanges were manufactured to reach the final product with acceptable quality and performance. The flange was adhesively bonded to a composite pipe after chamfering the end of the pipe. Another type of commercially-available composite flange was used to close the other end of the pipe. Finally, blind flanges were used to close both ends, making the pressure vessel that will be tested under the range of the bolt load and internal pressure.

The paper presents the research results on the structure and performance characteristics improvement of WC-Co hard-alloy matrix samples formed via the methods of cold and further hot moulding for the diamond-bearing details of drilling tools. It is shown that applying vanadium-nitride in 3 % in the composition of 94WC-6Co source materials provides the increase of sample hardness from 22.8 to 34.2 hPa, the compressive and bending strength from 4800 to 5340 MPa and from 2200 to 2280 MPa correspondingly, as well as the decrease of wear intensity from 1710×10-6 to 5200×10-6 g/m. The effect of formation of fine-grained structure for WC−CoNbN hard-alloy matrix with improved mechanical and performance characteristics revealed in the study points to the necessity of their usage in the development of efficient tools for drilling of oil and gas wells.

The food and beverage industry has an important role to play in the Indonesian economy. This industry's contribution to the GDP of the non-oil and gas industry reaches almost 34 percent and absorbs a lot of labor. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the strategy of strengthening the food and beverage industry which can improve the performance and competitiveness of Indonesia's food and beverage industry sector. The approach used is a descriptive approach. The results of the analysis show that for some food commodities have a low competitiveness, while the beverage industry which is dominated by soft drinks and alcoholic beverages, Spirits drinks and Beer has an increasing trend. To improve the competitiveness and performance of Indonesian food and beverage products, the government has carried out several policies, but not yet optimal. The strengthening effort that must be made by the Government is to increase exports to non-optimal markets (Untapped Market Countries). In addition, for the development of small and medium industries, the industrial sector also needs fiscal incentives as well as increased industrial technology capabilities.

Abstract Objective Scope: ADNOC group of companies introduced the Fursa platform which is an internal online website where HR acquisition partners among the 13 companies can post vacancies and employees from any of the 13 companies can apply to those vacancies. The aim of this initiative is to move ADNOC's employees internally to reskill, fill department gaps, and cross-collaborate to get a project done or hit an organizational goal with minimizing hiring cost and accelerate recruitment process. This study considers the above stated program as an explanatory factor to determine the individual's as well as organizational outcomes in ADNOC group of companies. Methods, Procedure, Process: To address the study objectives, qualitative and quantitative methods are adopted. More specifically, for quantitative approach, structural questionnaire was developed through adopting different items from the literature. Whereas qualitative analysis are conducted while using the information from structured interviews. Results, Observations, Conclusions: The study findings indicates that both individual and organizational outcomes are positively and significantly determined by internal mobility program. Similarly, analyses through qualitative approach confirms that internal mobility program helps to provide learning and development of the employees, productivity and performance in terms of individual outcomes, and sales and growth to reflect the concept of organizational outcomes. It is stated current program Enabled employees to find their next position, project, or mentor internally, and maximized ADNOC workforce potential and unlock the capacity to meet the corporate objectives. Other interesting outcomes are It takes less time and money to source (and saves money on relocation costs and as known during pandemic situation there is a restriction on international movement between countries); it enables faster onboarding and ramping up. Additionally, during internal mobility the company is confident that the candidate shares your mission and vision, and It also implies that you are aware of a candidate's most recent performance. Novel/Additive information: the study is unique in the sense that it is done in one of the giant oil and gas companies which employees working in different aspects of the business; upstream, downstream, and mid-stream. The study introduces modern ways of work in a speedy, natural manner, and the use of MS Teams to do virtual interviews. Fursa platform allows companies to act quickly. It only takes a few seconds to determine where talent should be directed, and a few more seconds to deploy it.

Abstract In the current oil and gas drilling industry, the modernization of rig fleets has been shifting toward high mobility, artificial intelligence, and computerized systems. Part of this shift includes a move toward automation. This paper summarizes the successful application of a fully automated workflow to drill a stand, from slips out to slips back in, in a complex drilling environment in onshore gas. Repeatable processes with adherence to plans and operating practices are a key requirement in the implementation of drilling procedures and vital for optimizing operations in a systematic way. A drilling automation solution has been deployed in two rigs enabling the automation of both pre-connection and post-connection activities as well as rotary drilling of an interval equivalent to a typical drillpipe stand (approximately 90 ft) while optimizing the rate of penetration (ROP) and managing drilling dysfunctionalities, such as stick-slip and drillstring vibrations in a consistent manner. So far, a total of nine wells have been drilled using this solution. The automation system is configured with the outputs of the drilling program, including the drilling parameters roadmap, bottomhole assembly tools, and subsurface constraints. Before drilling every stand, the driller is presented with the planned configuration and can adjust settings whenever necessary. Once a goal is specified, the system directs the rig control system to command the surface equipment (draw works, auto-driller, top drive, and pumps). Everything is undertaken in the context of a workflow that reflects standard operating procedures. This solution runs with minimal intervention from the driller and each workflow contextual information is continuously displayed to the driller thereby giving him the best capacity to monitor and supervise the operational sequence. If drilling conditions change, the system will respond by automatically changing the sequence of activities to execute mitigation procedures and achieve the desired goal. At all times, the driller has the option to override the automation system and assume control by a simple touch on the rig controls. Prior to deployment, key performance indicators (KPI), including automated rig state-based measures, were selected. These KPIs are then monitored while drilling each well with the automation system to compare performance with a pre-deployment baseline. The solution was used to drill almost 60,000 ft of hole section with the system in control, and the results showed a 20% improvement in ROP with increased adherence to pre-connection and post-connection operations. Additionally, many lessons were learned from the use and observation of the automation workflow that was used to drive continuous improvement in efficiency and performance over the course of the project. This deployment was the first in the region and the system is part of a comprehensive digital well construction solution that is continuously enriched with new capabilities. This adaptive automated drilling solution delivered a step change in performance, safety, and consistency in the drilling operations.

Oil and gas industries are constantly aiming at improving the efficiency of their operations. In this respect, focus is on the development of technology, methods, and work processes related to equipment condition and performance monitoring in order to achieve the highest standards in terms of safety and productivity. To this aim, a key issue is represented by maintenance optimization of critical structures, systems, and components. A way towards this goal is offered by Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) strategies. CBM aims at regulating maintenance scheduling based on data analyses and system condition monitoring and bears the potential advantage of obtaining relevant cost savings and improved operational safety and availability. A critical aspect of CBM is its integration with condition monitoring technologies for handling a wide range of information sources and eventually making optimal decisions on when and what to repair. In this chapter, a CBM case study concerning choke valves utilized in Norwegian offshore oil and gas platforms is proposed and investigated. The objective is to define a procedure for optimizing maintenance of choke valves by on-line monitoring their condition and determining their Remaining Useful Life (RUL). Choke valves undergo erosion caused by sand grains transported by the oil-water-gas mixture extracted from the well. Erosion is a critical problem which can affect the correct valve functioning, resulting in revenue losses and cause environmental hazards.

In oil and gas plants, the cost of devices applicable for supervising and controlling systems directly depends on the transmission and storage systems, which are related to the data size of process variables. In this paper, process variables frequency-domain and statistical analysis results have been studied to infer if there exists any possibility to reduce data size of the process variables without loss of any necessary information. Although automatic control is not applicable in a shutdown condition, for generalization of the obtained results, unscheduled shutdown data has also been analyzed and studied. The main goal of this paper is to develop an applicable algorithm for oil and gas plants to decrease the data size in controlling and monitoring systems, based on well-known and powerful mathematical techniques. The results show that it is possible to reduce the size of data dramatically (more than 99% for controlling, and more than 55% for monitoring purposes in comparison with existing methods), without loss of vital information and performance quality.

A Chinese oil company realized millions of tons of oil and gas productivity to meet the target of twelfth 5 years plan. It faces many big challenges while fast developing. We need to finish the asset integrated management system, strengthen the key equipment’s management and ensure safety operation. This paper is based on Asset integrated management implementation and risk management theory, to study the information system and IT infrastructure, to provide the evidence for leaders decision making. It can guide the business development and support the improvement, to make the data standardization, control the process and enhance the management and performance assessment ability for the corporation. The article uses the factor research method based on paper survey to analyze the data and IT system. It is divided three parts: background and requirement analysis, infrastructure design and development roadmap. It not only proposed that how to build AIM IT system, but also make the investment and returning analysis. From the degree of IT supporting business, this paper replies the problem of management increasing of National Company and Assets Management Committee.

Although trade publications produce half as many copies as consumer magazines and twice as many as daily newspapers, there has been little study of their role and performance in the U.S. media system. This study compared coverage of an industry-related policy proposal, the National Information Infrastructure, by the communication-industry trade press, non-communication-industry trade press, and newspapers. The study found that trade media appear to function as an insider channel of communication in the early stages of industry-related policy processes, but that they are less likely than nonindustry-related media to cover the social implications of industry policy proposals.
