As it is known, currently, the fields at the last stage of development are operated predominantly with sucker-rod pumps. Their operation is usually carried out in quite complicated technological and hydrodynamic conditions dramatically affecting the operation efficiency. Based on the actual field data, the paper studies the possible impact of the depth of sucker-rod pump running on the delivery rate, which is one of the indexes of operation of the whole sucker-rod pump unit. The values of delivery rates by oil and water have been calculated and their functional dependencies on the depth of sucker-rod pumps running developed as well. The results justified the increase of delivery rate by oil and its decrease by water in reviewed value diapasons. Mathematical models of developed dependencies have been obtained as well. As a result of conducted studies, the practicability of the increase of pump setting depth in operation conditions of reviewed field is justified.

The paper reviews the intrastratal regimes and reservoir properties of V, VII and VIII horizons in Sangachal-deniz–Duvanny-deniz–Khara-zira adasy fields. As a result of studies of core samples taken from 1700–5750 m depth, lithological-reservoir characteristics of the rocks have been analyzed, the changing intervals of parameter values shown as well. Therefore, instratal regimes of productive horizons have been analyzed, the dependence of initial formation pressure on hydrostatic and saturation pressures specified. Considering all mentioned above, 3D models of deep structure of SDKhZ (by VII horizon) field have been developed, corresponding vector directions in structural form of studied area defined as well.

The technological development led to the substitution of vegetable and animal oils for the mineral ones. With further development of engine manufacturing, the requirements to the quality of lubricants increased. It was revealed that the mineral oils, as though they are cleaned, do not satisfy the requirements. In this regard, the new method for the improvement of the quality of lubricants is the addition of organic compounds with various functional groups providing the lubricants with set properties into so-called “additives”. In 1945 on the offer of academician U. Mammadaliev a laboratory of the lubricants and additives had been established and leaded by academician A.M. Kuliev under AzNIINP named after V.V. Kuybyshev. Fundamental studies of this staff were considered a basis for the development of industrial production of efficient additives in the former Soviet Union. First developments of the staff related to the depressor and detergent, afterwards to the multi-functional additives. Based on carried out surveys by the laboratory staff the first local additives – depressors AzNII, AzNII-4, AzNII-5, AzNII-TSIATIM etc. have been developed in Azerbaijan. The success of the staff in the studies and developments, as well as the presence of qualified specialists in the chemistry of additives promoted the establishment of the single in our country profiled Institute for the chemistry of additives of the Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan SSR under the leadership of A.M. Kuliev in 1965. The diapason of fundamental works, enabling to develop the scientific basis of synthesis of efficient additives of optimum structure has been dramatically increased. Numerous efficient additives of various purpose have been obtained. The lubricants are being used in all spheres of the economy.

The paper deals with the issues of the implementation of coalessors for the separation of multi-phase fluids into particular phases during oil preparation for transportation. Various coalessors of liquid/liquid type (for separation of oil emulsions) and liquid/gas (for gas separation) have been analyzed. The results of the coalessor implementation are presented, the maximum sizes of water drops washed with oil flow estimated, the necessity of the consideration of gas compressibility rate during the evaluation of the sedimentation of mechanical particles marked.

The paper presents the results of researches on the specification of clay components, as well as the zones of intra- and interstratal fluid flows in the formation processes of oil-gas fields. The investigations have been carried out in the context of Sangachal-Duvanny-Khara-Zira (SDKhZ) field, located in Baku archipelago of South Caspian basin (SCB). It was defined that the presence of clayey chlidolite in the reservoirs are observed more effective in the values of permeability rates. The zones of intra- and interstrata of fluid flows in the reservoirs were specified based on the lithological model of productive horizons. Therefore, the presence of closed migration-flow (drainage) system both within productive horizons and in the scale of reviewed field was supposed. In support of these assumptions, 2D and 3D variation models of flow zones indicator values for intrastrata levels of productive horizons and for the section fragment of SDKhZ field have been developed.

Due to the drilling works carried out through 1970-1980s, the oil-gas bearing content of Dalimammadli and Tarsdallar structures has been studied. According to the conducted researches, thermal waters with high recovery rate and temperature more than 60 оC at the wellhead have been revealed. By chemical composition these waters are predominantly of chloride-sodium, and in Gazanbulag area – chloride-calcium (Са > 50 %) character. The main microcomponents are iodine, bromine, borium, etc. In this regard, the health centers (Goran, Gazanbulag, etc.) have been constructed in this area.

The elimination of complications occurred due to the hydrodynamic pressure at the wellbore during the running of the casing is one of the hardest tasks. During the well drilling in geologically complicated fields using drilling mud with 1800–2000 kg/m3 density, hydraulic fracture of the reservoir takes places while running of the casing due to the hydrodynamic pressure at the wellbore. This, in its turn, leads to the intensive drilling mud loss. To prevent such cases, it is necessary to have ra<0.65 coefficienct in well structure selection. This rate is the relation of well outer diameter to the wellbore diameter.

Although there are numerous measures towards reduction of charges to the atmosphere (increase of energy efficiency, nuclear energy, wind and solar energy, transition to the new types of energy etc.), the method of CO2 gas capture and storage in the geological formations (in depleted oil-gas formations and under the deep layers of seawater) with highly favorable conditions in Azerbaijan is considered the most environmental and cost effective (significant part of costs is realized due to the involving mining equipment and idle wells into the process) one. Corresponding geological formations in Azerbaijan and their gas reservoirs have been studied via specifying geological formations for storage of accumulated CO2 gases in underground formations (undergorund gas storages). The research surveys are based on the global experience, actual production capacities, new projects, state-of-the-art technologies and the equipment for CO2 gathering as well.

Via vapor-phase chromatography 2-tiophentiol and the mixtures of individual xanthogenates, which are the stock of additive synthesis have been analyzed. Isomeric composition of high boiling aromatic hydrocarbons has been separated through vapor-phase chromatography. n,nꞌ-dyetoxiazoxybenzol and dygeptylphenyl ethers of phenyldicarbon acids, which are applied to the glass capillary columns have been used as a liquid stationary phase. The water vapor of moving carrier was used instead of the gas-carrier of nitrogen, which allowed to reduce the durability of the analysis and to improve the seperation efficiency. The main parameters of vapor-phase chromatography have been studied during the stock analysis as well. The retention time, the height of theoretic trays and rates of assimetry of analyzed compounds have been calculated.
