ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the influence of the role, ethics, and independence of internal auditors in implementing good university governance (GUG) with leadership style as a moderation variable. Multiple linear regression and moderation regression analysis models are used to test the hypothesis. The primary data are obtained through questionnaires that are distributed to the respondents, namely the dean and head of study program at the UniversitasBinaDarma and UniversitasMuhammadiyahPalembang. The results of this study indicate that the instruments in each variable proved to be valid and reliable. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it can be seen that simultaneously the variable of role, ethics, and independence of internal auditors have positively and significantly effect in implementing good university governance (GUG). These results provide justification or endorsement of the theoretical truths used as the theoretical references of Stewardship Theory and Attitude and Behavioral Theory. Based on the partial test, role of auditor does not significantly affect the variable of GUG, but ethics and independence variable are found to be significant in influencing GUG. The leadership style is negative and insignificant in moderating the role of internal auditors and GUC and also the independence of internal auditor and GUC. The leadership style is found to be positive and insignificant in moderating the relationship of internal auditors’ ethics and GUC.Keywords        Role, Ethics, Independence, Internal Auditor, Leadership Style, Good University Governance  ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh peran, etika, dan independensi auditor internal dalam menerapkan good university governance (GUG) dengan gaya kepemimpinan sebagai variabel moderasi. Model analisis regresi linier berganda dan regresi moderasi digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis. Data primer diperoleh melalui kuesioner yang dibagikan kepada responden, yaitu dekan dan ketua program studi di Universitas Bina Darma dan Universitas MuhammadiyahPalembang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa instrumen dalam setiap variabel terbukti valid dan dapat diandalkan. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis dapat dilihat bahwa secara simultan variabel peran, etika, dan independensi auditor internal berpengaruh positif dan signifikan dalam penerapan good university governance (GUG). Hasil ini memberikan pembenaran atau pengesahan kebenaran teoretis yang digunakan sebagai referensi teoretis dari Teori Penatalayanan dan Teori Sikap dan Perilaku. Berdasarkan uji parsial, peran auditor tidak secara signifikan mempengaruhi variabel GUG, tetapi variabel etika dan independensi ditemukan signifikan dalam mempengaruhi GUG. Gaya kepemimpinan negatif dan tidak signifikan dalam memoderasi peran auditor internal dan GUC dan juga independensi auditor internal dan GUC. This chapter presents findings of a three-year longitudinal study of academic motivation and school engagement among low-income high school students enrolled in a corporate work–study program. Our findings demonstrate ways in which the workplace functioned for students as a conduit of emotional resources, offering instrumental support from caring and competent adults, knowledge about the connection between work and school, and an opportunity to occupy the essential adult role of worker.

This study examines the role of human resource management in improving the quality of educators. This research uses a qualitative approach with case study. This research site is in MTs Nu Ma'arif Kemiri, Purworejo Regency. The data collection technique used by researchers is interview observation. In this study, the object of research is the Role of Human Resources to Achieve Workforce Quality in MTs Nu Ma'arif Kemiri. Research data collection using descriptive observation, interview or qualitative methods. This interview observation study was conducted by lecturers and students of Islamic Education Management Study Program with student WK in MTs Nu Ma'arifKemiri. This activity aims to observe the Quality of Human Resources Workers conducted by MTs Nu Ma'arif Kemiri.

The Subject

English for Banking subject is offered to the students as an optional subject. This subject is offered to the students in order to anticipate the alumni that will be accepted in the banking related jobs. The aim of this research was to identify the role of English for Banking subject toward students’ readiness in work fields. This research used qulitative method and linear regression analysis with sixteen students as total respondents who are the student of the fourth semester of Language and English Literature Study Program Faculty of Language and Arts UNIMA. The result of this research was the English for Banking has positive influential toward students’ readiness to enter the banking realted job. The subject is suggested to be given in the Language and English Literature Study Program. This shows that the role of English for Banking subject is recommeded as an obligatory subject and not only as an optional subject.Keywords: English for Banking, Role of English

This paper raises the issue of how the role of PA lecturers in solving problems of students of Islamic banking study programs majoring in Sharia and Islamic Economics. The method used in this study is field research with a qualitative descriptive approach. The source of important data in this study is the PA lecturer in the Sharia Banking study program which is also called the research informant. The results showed that students had many academic problems, including the problem of taking courses every semester there were pre and no conditions, shortages and excess credits, less cooperative or less familiar with their respective PA lecturers, problems, economics, family there are even personal problems that consult with PA lecturers. The role of PA lecturers in solving the problem of the students in the Islamic Banking study program is quite well, this can be seen from the role of PA lecturers as their student mentors in academic matters that lead to taking courses, as advisors who always remind students in several ways, such as ethical issues , not yet fluent in reading Al-Quran, and as a motivator who always gives motivation to a better future career, their parents' economic problems and their relationship to the late payment of semester fees and others. In general, PA lecturers in the Sharia banking study program have played a role as PA lecturers both as mentors, directors, advisors and motivators in the academic, social, economic and career fields.

Although Singapore cannot be used as a model for global Islamic education, this country has quite several madrasahs. The Singapore government is also quite responsive in providing support for the continuation of Islamic education activities. This study aims to analyze the Islamic education system—madrasah management and curriculum in Singapore. Most importantly, this study identifies how the role of madrasahs in the Singapore education system is. The study in this paper is qualitative. This study uses library research, and the method of content analysis and constant comparative analysis becomes the first option of the writer. The results show that Singapore's Islamic Ugama Majlis (MUIS) plays a significant role in monitoring and managing the development of Islamic education in Singapore, which performs three types of Islamic education, Part-Time Education, Full Time Education, and Islamic Study Program for the Community. MUIS created a special curriculum by proposing the Singapore Islamic Education System (SIES) by introducing the ALIVE curriculum. The role and relevance of madrasahs cannot be underestimated or dismissed because the growing Muslim community and society will always need the right channels for real Islamic education regardless of how progressive or modern it is. This paper provides a broad view of madrasah in Singapore and looks at management, curriculum, and the role of madrasahs.

<em>This research aims to describe and explain the role of sarcasm, the value of character education in the collection of poetry Mencari Tanah Lapang by Wiji Thukul, and the relevance the role of sarcasm and the value of character education in the collection of poetry Mencari Tanah Lapang by Wiji Thukul on the teaching of literature in universities. Technique of subject sampling is purposive sampling. Data collection techniques used are document analysis and interviews. The validity of data in this study is done by using critical discourse analysis techniques. The results of this research are: (1) there are 62 sarcasm in the collection of poetry Mencari Tanah Lapang that serve as satirical of rules, satire of politics, satire of development, satire of education, satire of social inequality, and satire world health; (2)  the value of character education contained in the collection of poetry Mencari Tanah Lapang is religious values, honesty, tolerance, hard work, democracy, reading, and social care;(3) the role of sarcasm majors and the value of character education contained in the collection of poetry Mencari Tanah Lapang can be used as a literary teaching material with the subject of poetry in the study program of Indonesian literature.</em>

This article is about using human orientated methods of design (e.g. design thinking) in the context of teaching design, while the role of design is changing. Design should be described as a modus operandi for every social activity that leads through solving problem. General role of design is to animate and moderate social change. In that perspective we are all designers, whether we like it or not. This specific change of design mindset shows great challenge in the new education model, where design is just a small part of study program — in this article it is explained in the context of legal study program.

AbstractNeural activity within the default mode network (DMN) is widely assumed to relate to processing during off-task states, however it remains unclear whether this association emerges from a shared role in self or social cognition. In the current study, we examine the possibility that the role of the DMN in ongoing thought emerges from contributions to specific features of off-task experience such as self-relevant or social content. A group of participants described their experiences while performing a laboratory task over a period of days. In a different session, neural activity was measured while participants performed self/other judgements. Despite the prominence of social and personal content in off-task reports, there was no association with neural activity during off-task trait adjective judgements. Instead, during both self and other judgements we found recruitment of caudal posterior cingulate cortex - a core DMN hub - was above baseline for individuals whose laboratory experiences were characterised as detailed. These data provide little support for a role of the DMN in self or other content in the off-task state and instead suggest a role in how on-going thought is represented.
