Currently, laptops have become a necessity to most of the people as laptop provides mobility and helps in doing the task that a normal desktop PC can do. However, the malfunction of the laptop hardware will distract the user work and decrease the productivity. By utilizing Augmented Reality (AR) that combine real world and virtual world, a laptop maintenance application can be made in reality. The objective of this paper is to discuss on how to develop Mobile Augmented Reality for Laptop Maintenance (MAR4LM) applications. This AR application specifically develop for smart phones based on the android platform. Therefore, this study presents a way to understand and discuss the process of using this new technology on the android platforms. This application has been proven in increasing the understanding of the users about their laptop and doing maintenance on their own self. In addition, laptop maintenance tasks will become straightforward, easy to use, interactive, and easily available anywhere and anytime.

The guitar tablature is a guitar melody guitar used by professional guitarists when performing. Guitar tablature translator application is one of the media to help users especially novice guitarist to translate the guitar tablature. This application is built on android platform using Augmented Reality technology with Markerless Augmented Realty method to combine virtual world objects into the real world. In this application there are several functions such as displaying finger position information, 2D objects and audio. Index Terms—Tablatur Gitar, Augmented Reality, Android.

Along with the development, the application can be used as a medium for learning. Augmented Reality is a technology that combines two-dimensional’s virtual objects and three-dimensional’s virtual objects into a real three-dimensional’s then projecting the virtual objects in real time and simultaneously. The introduction of Solar System’s material, students are invited to get to know the planets which are directly encourage students to imagine circumtances in the Solar System. Explenational of planets form and how the planets make the revolution and rotation in books are considered less material’s explanation because its only display objects in 2D. In addition, students can not practice directly in preparing the layout of the planets in the Solar System. By applying Augmented Reality Technology, information’s learning delivery can be clarified, because in these applications are combined the real world and the virtual world. Not only display the material, the application also display images of planets in 3D animation’s objects with audio.

Augmented Reality is the technology using which we can integrate 3D virtual objects in our physical environment in real time. Augmented Reality helps us in bring the virtual world closer to our physical worlds and gives us the ability to interact with the surrounding. This paper will give you an idea that how Augmented Reality can transform Education Industry. In this paper we have used Augmented Reality to simplify the learning process and allow people to interact with 3D models with the help of gestures. This advancement in the technology is changing the way we interact with our surrounding, rather than watching videos or looking at a static diagram in your text book, Augmented Reality enables you to do more. So rather than putting someone in the animated world, the goal of augmented reality is to blend the virtual objects in the real world.

Today technology evolves in two different directions. The first one is to create a new technology for our requirement and solve the problem, and the second one is to do it with the existing technology. This chapter will discuss in detail augmented reality and its use in the real world and also its application domains like medicine, education, health, gaming, tourism, film and entertainment, architecture, and development. Many think that AR is only for smartphones, but there are different ways to enhance the insight of the world. Augmented realities can be presented on an extensive range of displays, monitors, screens, handheld devices, or glasses. This chapter will provide the information about the key components of AR devices. This chapter gives a view on different types of AR and also projects how the technology can be adapted for multiple purposes based on the required type of view.

Because the significance of a sacred text comes not only from its content but also its format and materiality, the rise of digital formats is especially a concern for the Jewish community, the ‘people of the book’ (Am ha-Sefer) whose identity is rooted in the Torah. Drawing together scholarship on the history of the book in its changing formats and an illuminative case study of the Jewish Torah in its digital iterations, the Jewish case presented here is instructive but certainly not unique. Despite dramatic changes in reading technology throughout history, readers have time and again used a new technology to perform the same functions as that of the old, only more quickly, with more efficiency, or in greater quantity. While taking advantage of the innovation and novelty which characterize digital formats, a concerted effort to retain much older operations and appearances continues to be made in this transition as well. The analysis in this article aims to further dispel the misguided notion of technological supersession, the idea that new reading technologies ‘kill’ older formats in a straightforward model of elimination.

This paper presents the development of an interactive mobile Augmented Reality (AR) for tourism promotion with eXtreme programming (XP) at Purbalingga district, Central Java that has many places of tourism attractions such as Owabong, Purbasari Pancuran Mas, Sanggaluri Park and BuperMunjuluhur. By applying the AR concept, it is expected the tourism objects could be enhanced by augmenting the virtual brochures which could be viewed over a mobile device. In this study, mobile device Android platform is used to display interactive brochures of tourism promotioncontaining 3D models, animations, and sounds. The brochure provides information in of real attractions of the tourism objects in Purbalingga district.

This paper presents the design and development of a Mobile Augmented Reality Map (MARM) which shows map information on the real world video rather than a plane. The proposed system uses wireless Geographic Information System (GIS), and video camera and gyroscope of a smart phone. MARM has the advantage of GIS and the convenience of mobile phones, and is an extremely intuitive way to use map.

Nowadays, there is new technology such as augmented reality and virtual reality that starting to get attention from many parties especially in mobile gaming industry. This technology brings elements of the virtual world into the real world by enhancing what users see, hear and feel. All these elements are augmented by computer generated sensory input such as, sound, video, graphics or GPS data. Augmented and virtual reality also supported in many fields for example, education, design, reconnaissance, maintenance and etc. This paper review the field of Augmented Reality, including a brief definition, the problems, the inventing technologies and their characteristics. Besides, it will also discuss some recent application of as well as the limitations in the use of thesetechnology

Augmented Reality is a technology that can project objects from the virtual world to the real world. Augmented Reality continues to be developed so it can be easy to implement into various devices. However, the device must have a camera, VGA card, and the ability to process data that is high enough to be able to process and projecting graphical data that captured by the camera and displayed to the screen. Marker-based Augmented Reality is still better than Markerless Augmented Reality due to several issues such as disturbances in the geomagnetic sensor that is used to map the Y axis and Z device that belongs to the user.
