The aim of the study was to test Appennino, a tool used to evaluate the habitats of animals through compositional analysis. This free tool calculates an animal’s habitat use within the GIS platform for ArcGIS and saves and exports the results of the comparative land uses to other statistical software. Visual Basic for Application programming language was employed to prepare the ESRI ArcGIS 9.x utility. The tool was tested on a dataset of 546 pheasant positions obtained from a study carried out in Tuscany (Italy). The tool automatically gave the same results as the results obtained by calculating the surfaces in ESRI ArcGIS, exporting the data from the ArcGIS, then using a commercial spreadsheet and/or statistical software to calculate the animal’s habitat use with a considerable reduction in time.

AbstractThis paper is devoted to the use of statistical methods to ensure the highest quality processes. Specifically, it deals with creating an application in MS Excel which evaluates standard statistical parameters and if the required process capability indices are complied with, then it is possible to proceed to SPC (statistical process control). The application was created in MS Excel using the Visual Basic for Application programming language. In addition to the required calculations, the application also generates forms with all important data. This application was designed to reduce reject rate and improve the production process in a contracting company.

The rapid development of information technology has made people to have the ability to design software with a programming language. There are quite some engineers who have not mastered programming languages. It happens becausesome people think that developing software with a certain programming language is very difficult. The language is difficult to understand, the accuracy must be precise, and the user is not familiar with the platform. Difficulty in learning programming languages is a problem that is often encountered by university students, vocational students, or employees. This article describes an easy programming language training activity for beginners, namelyVisual Basic for Applications (VBA)-Ms. Excel training. The advantage of this programming language iseasy to operate because manystudentsor employees are very familiar with Ms. Excel so that the adaptation process will be easy. The results of the post-test training that was attended bystudents showed a significant increase in the ability to design programming languages.

This paper introduces analysis the development process of CAD technology, application of the AutoCAD software in engineering field and teaching as well as the significance of the development of two times the. This paper analyzes in detail the development of common language, and the use of Visual BASIC development and application of software based on AutoCAD. The author elaborates the software interface design and method calls AutoCAD in VB. Finally, the design and implementation of a programming language re-development system based on AutoCAD is concerned. The test results show that the developed AutoCAD two development system has good practical value.

A parallel port is an inexpensive and powerful tool for controlling the real world peripherals. It provides eight Transistor Transistor Logic (TTL) outputs, fives inputs and four bidirectional input and output for Personal Computer (PC) interruption. By using the structure oriented programming language they are fused in circuit boards, microcontrollers etc. to carry out specified functions. The reason is the elegance and simplicity of the code used in visual basic.

Journal of Nepal Physical Society
Volume 4, Issue 1, February 2017, Page: 97-100

The goal of the article is to implement the CTR Dairy model using the Visual Basic for Application (VBA) language of Microsoft Excel. CTR Dairy is a dynamic simulation model for grazing lactating dairy cows that predicts milk production and profit over feeding based on ruminal digestion and absorption of nutrients under discontinuous feeding schedules. The CTR Dairy model was originally developed as a research tool using a proprietary computer simulation software called SMART that required the SMART client to run the program. As SMART software is now discontinued, and its client is no longer available, rewriting the model in the VBA language using Microsoft Excel for inputs and outputs makes the program available to a broad range of users including dairy farmers, extension advisors, dairy nutrition consultants and researchers. Dairy farmers can use the new version of the CTR Dairy program to manipulate the herbage allowance and the access time to the grazing paddock, as well as the timing of supplemental feeding, to improve the utilization of the pasture and to increase the production of the milk.

Do you often think there must be a more effective way to accomplish some of the administrative tasks you complete on a daily basis, such as dropping the two lowest quiz scores in your grade book, making a calendar of assignments, or creating a grading rubric for a project? This month's “Technology Tips” provides you with some useful shortcuts. Glen Lobo, from Sinclair Community College, Dayton, Ohio, shares two Microsoft Excel macros from his personal grade book. The first two tips show how to record and edit a macro in Excel, while the third tip illustrates how to create a macro using Visual Basic programming language. This month's “Surfing Note” lists useful online administrative resources that can be used in your classroom.—Eds.

The development of technology at this time allows everyone to exchange information without any limitation of time and distance. The possibility that data leakage will occur during the process of exchanging information is carried out, therefore in sending data especially images, security aspects, confidentiality and efficiency of data storage is very necessary. If the important information falls into the wrong hands, it will cause unwanted things, for example manipulation of images with negative shapes and can harm the owner of the image. One method used to maintain data security is cryptography using one of the techniques, Elgamal. The strength of this algorithm lies in the difficulty of calculating discrete algorithms on prime integers in which multiplication operations are performed. In this research, the writer combines Hill Cipher to do image encryption and Elgamal Algorithm to decrypt the key of Hill Cipher. The image is first encrypted using the Hill Cipher, then the Hill Cipher key is encrypted using the Elgamal Algorithm. The implementation of the system uses the programming language Visual Basic Net 2010. The results of the implementation with the initial encrypted image has 4282.85 milliseconds with random images, while the encrypted image will be re-described as having 20442.84 milliseconds with the image returned to the beginning.
