This paper presents multiphase sinusoidal oscillators (MSOs) using operational transresistance amplifier (OTRA) based all pass networks. Both even and odd phase oscillations of equal amplitudes which are equally spaced in phase can be produced using single all pass section per phase. The proposed MSOs provide voltage output and can readily be used for driving voltage input circuits without increasing component count. The effect of nonideality of OTRA on the circuit performance is also analysed. The functionality of the proposed circuit is verified through PSPICE simulations.

This paper presents an analog multiplier using single operational transresistance amplifier (OTRA). The proposed circuit is suitable for integration as it does not use any external passive component. It can be used as a four-quadrant multiplier. Theoretical propositions are verified through PSPICE simulations using 0.5 μm CMOS parameters provided by MOSIS (AGILENT). The simulation results are in close agreement with theoretical predictions. The workability of the proposed multiplier is also tested through two applications, namely, a squarer and an amplitude modulator.

In order to decrease output micro-flux ripple wave characteristics of the piezoelectric driven micro-flux valve, it carried out research on piezoelectric ceramics driving power supply. In the research, it especially designed the low-voltage and high-voltage stabilizing circuit, small signal amplifying circuit and power amplifying circuit. By applying the power supply, the function signal would be amplified to a high-voltage output to drive the piezoelectric ceramics stack (PZT) to control displacement of the micro-flux valve’s spool, and then realize precise control the micro-flux of the valve. At last, it carried out experimentations on the output characteristics of the power supply, and the experimental results proved the output signal of the power supply have excellent input-output linearity and small ripple wave characteristics, and the high-voltage output ripple wave error is less than 10mV. More over, it used the power supply to drive an 8×8×20mm PZT with capacitance 2.3, and measured the quickly discharging characteristics. The results prove the quickly discharging time is only 10.10ms when the driving voltage is 180V, which means the power supply has excellent quickly discharging characteristics.

Operational transresistance amplifier (OTRA) has attracted considerable attention in the recent literature in several applications such as impedance simulation, universal biquad filter realization, realization of sinusoidal oscillators and multivibrators. However, to the best knowledge of the authors, any OTRA-based generalized impedance simulator circuits have not been reported so far. The purpose of this paper is to present such a circuit.

This research presents a simulation analysis for the AC-DC converter circuit with a different configurations of the array connection of the piezoelectric sensor. The selection of AC-DC converter circuits is full wave bridge rectifier (FWBR), parallel SSHI (P-SSHI) and parallel voltage multiplier (PVM) with array configuration variation in series (S), parallel (P), series-parallel (SP) and parallel-series (PS). The system optimizes with different load configurations ranging from 10 kΩ to 1 MΩ. The best configuration of AC-DC converter with an appropriate array piezoelectric connection producing the optimum output of harvested power is presented. According to the simulation results, the harvested power produced by using P-SSHI converter connected with 3 parallel piezoelectric transducer array was 85.9% higher than for PVM and 15.88% higher than FWBR.

Abstract A stringent sampling plan is developed to monitor and improve the quality of 300mm SOI (silicon on insulator) starting wafers procured from the suppliers. The ultimate goal is to obtain the defect free wafers for device fabrication and increase yield and circuit performance of the semiconductor integrated circuits. This paper presents various characterization techniques for QC monitor and examples of the typical defects attributed to wafer manufacturing processes.

This paper presents a novel method to realize a current mode instrumentation amplifier (CMIA) through CDBA (Current difference Buffered Amplifier). It employs two CDBAs and two resistors to obtain desired functionality. Further, it does not require any resistor matching. The gain can be set according to the resistor values. It offers high differential gain and a bandwidth, which is independent of gain. The working of the circuit is verified through PSPICE simulations using CFOA IC based CDBA realization.
