In order to promote the better development of tour guide business, this article takes the tour guide business teaching in colleges and universities as an example and analyzes the current situation and the effect of students’ learning in the tour guide business course through investigating and researching the current situation of ideological and political teaching of the tour guide business course. It also proposes corresponding improvement measures for the existing problems, so as to improve the ideological and political teaching effect of the tour guide business course. To this end, this study relies on the powerful functions of UMU platform and builds a hybrid mobile learning mode based on UMU platform by improving the traditional teaching method of “face to face instruction + online lecture.” Although the UMU-based blended mobile learning model is formally divided into online learning and offline activities, in the actual teaching process, there are both you and me. In the process of online learning, students can realize the convenient learning through mobile APP terminal anytime and anywhere, or they can sit comfortably at the study table through the computer; in the offline activity classroom, students can sit in the classroom of UMU and communicate with teachers face to face, or they can use their cell phones to project their check-in, opinions, test results, etc. to the big screen. In the whole UMU-based hybrid mobile learning model, there is no clear boundary between online learning and offline activities, and online and offline are integrated with each other and crossed according to the actual learning needs to maximize learning efficiency.

Flipped or inverted learning is a type of blended learning that involves the use of educational technology to switch or flip what is traditionally done in the classroom with what is done as homework. With the flipped model, lectures are often recorded for students to watch at home while traditional homework, or projects that involve application, are done in the classroom with the teacher available as a guide and resource. Like any new teaching method, with the flipped learning model there is a need for the instructor to evaluate its use and determine whether changes will be required with each implementation. In this chapter, an overview of the history of the flipped model is presented. In addition, an outline of methods like universal design that can be implemented for learning in flipped classrooms is provided.

Mobile learning is one of the learning models using mobile technology devices that can support learning (Marinakou & Giousmpasoglou, 2015). Laptops, tablets, smartphones, and other are technology devices that can support mobile learning such as (Göksu & Atici, 2013). From these devices, smartphones are the most widely used devices (Ken Nee Chee, Noraffandy Yahaya, Nor Hasniza Ibrahim, & Mohamed Noor Hasan, 2017). Mobile learning uses a very flexible approach, which allows students to learn wherever and whenever (Your et al., 2014), (Kim, Lee, & Rha, 2017). In its application, lecturers are only as facilitators to excel and hone student skills (Hamdani, 2013). This study was research and development (R&D) (Sugiyono, 2016). Data collection techniques used in this study used questionnaires, walkthroughs, Interviews, and tests of student learning outcomes. The development model used is the adoption of the Lee & Owens development model consisting of 5 (five) phase: assessment/analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. (Lee, William W & Owns & Diana L, 2004) At the phase of assessment/analysis, a needs analysis was carried out from the study. Phase Design carried out several steps in the design of the mobile learning model which consists of the preparation of flowcharts, storyboards, and scripts that will be implemented in making applications and implementing mobile learning models. The development phase is the implementation of the design phase. The app that will be used in building products is  Moodle mobile app. At this phase, there will be a presentation of media experts, material experts, learning design experts, and linguists experts. The next step is the implementation, which is the implementation of the mobile learning model. The last phase is the evacuation, which is a field trial involving 26 students. The effectiveness test of the mobile learning model done by giving pretest and posttest to assess the increase in student learning outcomes.

In improving the quality of school education and learning in the future, it is necessary to change the mindset that will be used as the basis for implementing a learning program. What's more in the co-19 pandemic period that requires students to be able to study at home without interacting in class for a while. In the past the learning process was conventional, namely face-to-face in class. But even then, most teaching processes are still dominated by teachers. As a result, teaching and learning activities place more emphasis on teaching and not on learning. Learning activities favor the interests of those who teach. Efforts for learning to be focused on students, it is necessary to apply a cooperative learning model which is a form of change in mindset in learning activities at school. However, during this pandemic, the next challenge is how the cooperative process can take place in the online learning process. The absence of a physical meetup becomes an obstacle that can be minimized by the adaptation of the teacher in the distance learning process. In this case the teacher no longer dominates the learning activities, but rather becomes the facilitator and mediator of the process. The cooperative learning model is designed by giving opportunities to students together to build their own knowledge.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, higher learning institutions switched from the traditional face-to-face teaching method to online based teaching. Even though the country is facing crisis due to the pandemic, teaching can still be conducted through online platform. It offers flexibility to both students and academicians. However, online learning is believed to reduce the students’ motivation, performance and lead to mental health problems. To reduce these issues, this study was conducted to determine the impeding factors towards the effectiveness of online learning. The respondents consists of 267 social sciences students. Three impeding factors were discussed which are accessibility, social and academician capability factor. The descriptive findings determined that accessibility factor was the main impeding factor towards the effectiveness of online learning. Thus, the roles of government, university and telecommunication firm are important to reduce the issues of internet access, internet data cost and lack of technology devices. Consequently, the students’ motivation and performance during online learning can be enhanced.

Abstract This article discussed the importance of utilizing online learning during times of crises with special emphasis on the situation in Libya. In spite of the dangerous current situation i.e., the wide spread of a deadly Corona Virus, educational institutions (schools, universities, and academies) in Libya are still based on traditional procedures of learning, i.e., they adopt the traditional way of face-to-face classes and meetings. Although there have been some attempts of using blended learning, still most of the institutions are stuck with old methods. The current situation in the country since the beginning of the unrest in 2011 and recently with the emergence of a sudden outbreak of a deadly disease called Covid-19 caused by a Corona Virus shook the entire country and called for an urgent intervention. However, because of the fragile situation and the decrepit infrastructure in Libya, challenges to the education system are huge. This article highlighted the perceptions of a group of postgraduate students of English on online learning and also included the Advantages, Disadvantages, Opportunities, and Barriers (ADOB) analysis of e-learning modes in the time of crisis. The findings revealed that access to online learning in Libya was hindered by many challenges, and consequently students perceived online learning as inefficient. The paper also provided some suggestions for academic institutions of how to deal with challenges associated with online learning.

Online learning has become a demand for education since the Covid-19 pandemic and continues in New Normal until it continues until post-pandemic even if teachers or lecturers have to develop learning strategies. Therefore teachers/lecturers are required to be literate in technology and always up to date on learning models, one of which is Blended Learning. This research itself is expected to explain what is meant by the Blended Learning Model. And, how is the application of the Blended Learning Model when applied to the new order after the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method in this article uses a literature review, where an action on the quality and new findings of scientific work. The development of a blended learning model is a combination of learning models carried out in an online and offline context. The allocation used is 50:50, meaning that from the time allocation provided, 50% for face-to-face learning activities and 50% for online learning. The same is the case with using a 75:25 composition and doing 25:75. Blended learning model development techniques that need to be developed; 1) Face-to-face Learning Model; 2) Learning Using Electronic Teaching Materials, and 3) Learning Using Technology Media.
