This research was conducted to help the traffic policy makers and general public in preventing road incidents using the collected traffic accident dataset between the years 2016 and 2019. Data mining using classification algorithm was utilized to develop a predictive model for predicting occurrences of traffic accidents. Classification algorithms such as decision tree, k-nn, naïve bayes and neural network have been compared in identifying better classification capability in classifying stage of felony. Neural network shows a very promising result in classifying road accident with a total accuracy result of 87.63%. Nonetheless, k-nn and naïve bayes both acquired a higher than 80% accuracy which shows that this classification algorithms were also good in predicting road accidents. Moreover, public vehicle is more prone in accident rather than private vehicle in both stage of felony and accident may occur between or on 3:00pm and 6:00pm.

The basic approaches for identifying dangerous road sections for prioritizing road safety measures are outlined. The effectiveness of the result depends on how well the areas where the road safety measures need to be implemented are identified. Suggestions for identifying dangerous places on the roads according to the statistics of traffic accidents using the methods of probability theory are given. On the basis of the analysis of statistics on roads with different number of adventures, limit values of the admissible number of adventures on sections of roads of different length are established. It is proved that it is necessary to create a comprehensive approach to solving a complex problem – improving road safety. Оne of the important approaches for the definition of dangerous road sections according to the data of road accidents, which is proposed by the authors, is the method of detection of sections (places) of concentration of road accidents (black spots). The purpose of this article is to: introduce an approach in road safety management to reduce the number of road accidents and the severity of their consequences on Ukraine’s highways by first implementing measures to improve road conditions and improve road organization. The effectiveness of the result in reducing the number of traffic accidents depends on the areas so clearly identified that, in the first place, it is necessary to implement measures to improve road safety. That is why this approach was introduced in traffic safety management. The purposeful financing of measures, aimed primarily at eliminating such sites, will help to reduce the number of road accidents and the severity of their consequences. News popularity is the maximum growth of attention given for particular news article. The popularity of online news depends on various factors such as the number of social media, the number of visitor comments, the number of Likes, etc. It is therefore necessary to build an automatic decision support system to predict the popularity of the news as it will help in business intelligence too. The work presented in this study aims to find the best model to predict the popularity of online news using machine learning methods. In this work, the result analysis is performed by applying Co-relation algorithm, particle swarm optimization and principal component analysis. For performance evaluation support vector machine, naïve bayes, k-nearest neighbor and neural network classifiers are used to classify the popular and unpopular data. From the experimental results, it is observed that support vector machine and naïve bayes outperforms better with co-relation algorithm as well as k-NN and neural network outperforms better with particle swarm optimization.

Abstract Customer segmentation represents a true challenge in the automobile insurance industry, as datasets are large, multidimensional, unbalanced and it also requires a unique price determination based on the risk profile of the customer. Furthermore, the price determination of an insurance policy or the validity of the compensation claim, in most cases must be an instant decision. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to identify an easily usable data mining tool that is capable to identify key automobile insurance fraud indicators, facilitating the segmentation. In addition, the methods used by the tool, should be based primarily on numerical and categorical variables, as there is no well-functioning text mining tool for Central Eastern European languages. Hence, we decided on the SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) tool and to compare the performance of the decision tree, neural network and Naïve Bayes methods. The results suggest that decision tree and neural network are more suitable than Naïve Bayes, however the best conclusion can be drawn if we use the decision tree and neural network together.

Abstract Analysis of road traffic accidents revealed that most accidents are as a result of drivers’ errors. Over the years, active safety systems (ASS) were devised in vehicle to reduce the high level of road accidents, caused by human errors, leading to death and injuries. This study however evaluated the impacts of ASS inclusions into vehicles in Nigeria road transportation network. The objectives was to measure how ASS contributed to making driving safer and enhanced transport safety. Road accident data were collected, for a period of eleven years, from Lagos State Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget, Central Office of Statistics. Quantitative analysis of the retrospective accident was conducted by computing the proportion of yearly number of vehicles involved in road accident to the total number of vehicles for each year. Results of the analysis showed that the proportion of vehicles involved in road accidents decreased from 16 in 1996 to 0.89 in 2006, the injured persons reduced from 15.58 in 1998 to 0.3 in 2006 and the death rate diminished from 4.45 in 1998 to 0.1 in 2006. These represented 94.4 %, 95 % and 95 % improvement respectively on road traffic safety. It can therefore be concluded that the inclusions of ASS into design of modern vehicles had improved road safety in Nigeria automotive industry.

Heart disease is one of the types of deadly diseases whose treatment must be dealt with as soon as possible because it can occur suddenly to the sufferer.  Factors of heart disease that are recognized based on the condition of the body of a sufferer need to be known from an early age so that the risk of possible instant attacks can be minimized or can be overcome in various ways such as a healthy lifestyle and regular exercise that can regulate heart health in the body.  By looking at the condition of a person's body based on sex, blood pressure, age, whether or not a smoker and some indicators that become a person's characteristics of heart disease are described in a study using the Neural Network and Naïve Bayes algorithm with the aim of comparing the level of accuracy to attributes influential to predict heart disease, so the results of this study can be used as a reference to predict whether a person has heart disease or not.

This article analyses the mortality caused by road accidents in Moldova depending on the degree of involvement of pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists, drivers and passengers of transport units, depending on age and sex. Results suggest that traffic-related mortality in Moldova has shown an increased incidence among the young and working-age population, where a significant difference between males and females is observed. Among the youth, traffic-related deaths register between 10-27% of the overall mortality in both sexes. The risk exposure of dying in a traffic accident decreases with age and is less significant in the retired ages. During the years 1998-2015, avoidance of trafficrelated deaths would have assured an increase in life expectancy between 0.40-0.56 years in males, and 0.09-0.23 years in females. The continuous increase in the number of transport units on public roads, as well as in the number of hours spent in traffic, influences the degree of exposure to the risk of death or injury as a result of road traffic accidents. Trauma resulting from road accidents increases the incidence of premature mortality and disability among the population, which is reflected by the decrease of healthy life expectancy. It is ascertained that the road accident mortality requires a detailed and comprehensive analysis given the multitude of factors influencing deaths and injuries related to a traffic accident among the population. Thus, in order to improve road safety and reduce mortality incidence among traffic participants, a range of actions has to be implemented by the liable actors, including through the international experience.

Abstract: Social networking platforms have given us incalculable opportunities than ever before, and its benefits are undeniable. Despite benefits, people may be humiliated, insulted, bullied, and harassed by anonymous users, strangers, or peers. Cyberbullying refers to the use of technology to humiliate and slander other people. It takes form of hate messages sent through social media and emails. With the exponential increase of social media users, cyberbullying has been emerged as a form of bullying through electronic messages. We have tried to propose a possible solution for the above problem, our project aims to detect cyberbullying in tweets using ML Classification algorithms like Naïve Bayes, KNN, Decision Tree, Random Forest, Support Vector etc. and also we will apply the NLTK (Natural language toolkit) which consist of bigram, trigram, n-gram and unigram on Naïve Bayes to check its accuracy. Finally, we will compare the results of proposed and baseline features with other machine learning algorithms. Structural Health Monitoring is essential in today’s world where large amount of money and labour are involved in building a structure. There arises a need to periodically check whether the built structure is strong and flawless, also how long it will be strong and if not how much it is damaged. These information are needed so that the precautions can be made accordingly. Otherwise, it may result in disastrous accidents which may take away even human lives. There are various methods to evaluate a structure. In this paper, we apply various classification algorithms like J48, Naive Bayes and many other classifiers available, to the dataset to check on the accuracy of the prediction determined by all of these classification algorithms and ar-rive at the conclusion of the best possible classifier to say whether a structure is damaged or not.
