Abstract We examine how pre-play communication and clustering affect play in a challenging hybrid experimental game on networks. Free-form chat is impressively effective in achieving the non-equilibrium efficient outcome, but restricted communication has little effect. We support this result with a model about the credibility of cheap-talk messages. We also offer a model of message diffusion that correctly predicts more rapid diffusion without clustering. We show an interaction effect of network structure and communication technologies. A remarkable result is that restricted communication is quite effective in a network Stag Hunt, but not in our extended game.

AbstractThe present study investigated the influence of related and unrelated emotions on judgments about a news article. An experimental study was designed to manipulate both the relatedness of an elicited emotion (i. e., anger) to the news article and processing depth. Following mood and emotion effects theory, related anger was expected to have a stronger effect on judgments about the media message than unrelated anger. Processing depth was expected to moderate this effect. The results showed a main effect of relatedness and a main effect of processing depth, but the interaction effect was not found. Implications of the findings for understanding how emotions influence the processing of media stimuli are discussed.

Abstract The tension between efficiency and equilibrium is a central feature of economic systems. We examine this trade-off in a network game with a unique Nash equilibrium in which agents can achieve a higher payoff by following a “collaborative norm”. Subjects establish and maintain a collaborative norm in the circle, but the norm weakens with the introduction of one hub connected to everyone in the wheel. In complex and asymmetric networks of 15 and 21 nodes, the norm disappears and subjects’ play converges to Nash. We provide evidence that subjects base their decisions on their degree, rather than the overall network structure.

Training teachers is an important task of modern pedagogy and requires new approaches to the organization of the educational process. The use of information and communication technologies for the purpose of forming the information competence of the future vocational teacher is an important element of the formation of his professional competence. The article describes the stages of conducting a pedagogical experiment to develop the information competence of a future teacher of vocational training in domestic higher education institutions. The organization and methodology of the experimental study are described in detail, its results are given, the methods of diagnostics are described and so on.

Information and communication technologies have invaded the field of training, though their performances have been judged by companies to be insufficient. Among the origins of this state of affairs, the author considers that the lack of knowledge of what happens in a “real use situation” plays an important role. Indeed, understanding what is involved in learners-system interactions is fundamental to improve the system appropriation and its efficient usage. This appropriation is a dual necessity for learners as they must take over the offered possibilities of interactions and acquire the necessary knowledge. As appropriation is made through offered interactions, the author considers computer interactions traces as potential appropriation facilitators. This conceptual article presents bibliographical research concerning the use of computer interactions traces and proposes a classification of ‘tracing systems’. Additionally, the links between these works and the process of appropriation in an instrumented training situation is provided, while the author also presents an experimental study conducted on the role of traces of interactions in a collaborative mediated task by using a numerical environment.

Abstract The purpose of that is expected from this research is to find out the average difference between the students' ability to write descriptions of learning that using direct learning model with conventional ones, to know the effect of the interaction effect of the use of direct instructional model and the interest in writing to the ability to write descriptions that siswa.Penelitian conducted an experimental study. Data analysis or testing the hypothesis using Analysis of Variance (Anova) two paths followed by t test Dunnet.Penelitian experiments have been carried out concluded that on average the ability to write descriptions of students who use the direct learning model is higher than the average writing skills descriptions of students using model konvensional.Selain it is known that there is an interaction effect using a model of learning and interest in writing to the ability to write a description. Learning that using direct learning model to the students who have a high interest in writing, the average ability to write descriptions are higher than using conventional learning. There were no significant differences in average ability to write a description of your using direct and conventional learning in students who have a low interest in writing. Thus the direct learning model has a positive influence on learning, especially writing a description.

This study aims to know the effect of cooperative method and self-efficacy toward writing narrative ability. The method used was experimental study design using treatment by level 2x2 with analysis testing ANAVA. The results showed that:(1) the ability to write a narrative that students learn the concept sentence method is higher than narrative writing skills of students who are learning to use a make a match method, (2) there is an interaction effect between cooperative method and self-efficacy toward writing narrative ability, (3) the ability to write a narrative that students learn the of concept sentence is higher than the group of students who learn the make a match for students who have high selfefficacy, (4) the ability to write a narrative that students learn the make a match is higher than the group of students who learn the concept sentence for students who have low self-efficacy. Based on the results of this study it was concluded that the cooperative method and self-efficacy influence the students’ writing ability. Recommendation for teachers is to apply the concept sentence as a way to improve students’ writing narrative abilities.
