Angels as the Shape of Energy: How the Threshold Narratives Shaped the Meaning Construction of ‘Angel’ and ‘Energy’ in a Central and Eastern European New Religious Group

Abstract The status-dependent access to information results in multilevel meaning construction in a charismatic Christian group. The notion of ‘angel’ is discursively transforming (during evangelization rituals, healing, angel visions, etc.). To acquire language skills, one may encounter and accept threshold narratives. After the notion of energy was introduced into the group (2012), former ideas (‘rectangular form’ and ‘shape-changing kind’ of angels) were intermixed with it. Energy became a general, fundamental principle, but it was not obvious how they could manage its dual kind: ‘positive energy’ and the evil counterpart (‘spiritual/negative energy’). My argumentation is based on discourse analysis and cognitive semantics.

Linguistic racism explores the varied ideologies that may generate and endorse monolingual, native, and normative language practices, while reinforcing the discrimination and injustice directed towards language users whose language and communicative repertoires are not necessarily perceived as standard and normal. This article, thus, investigates linguistic racism, as a form of existing, but newly defined, racism against unconventional ethnic language practices experienced by Eastern-European immigrant women in the Australian workplace. Our ethnographic study shows that, once these women directly or subtly exhibit their non-nativism, through a limited encounter with local expressions, non-native language skills, and ethnic accents, they become victims of covert and overt linguistic racism in the form of social exclusion, mockery, mimicking, and malicious sarcasm in the hierarchical power environment of the workplace. As a result, these migrants can suffer from long-lasting psychological trauma and distress, emotional hurdles, loss of credibility, and language-based inferiority complexes. We, as researchers, need to highlight the importance of combatting workplace linguistic racism and revealing language realities of underprivileged communities. In that way, we can assist them in adapting to host societies and help them regain some degree of power equality in their institutional environments.

The mechanism of gas cooled or heated through a pneumatic throttle orifice is analyzed. Supposing the total energy of the gas is constant, if the force between the molecules does positive energy, it makes gas heated; if it does negative energy, it makes gas cooled. The conversion temperature of gas is an evaluation parameter for repulsive or attractive force. It has utilized Joule-Thomson coefficient and real gas equation of state to obtain the characteristics of conversion temperature, and the relationships between the molecules distance and the phenomenon of gas cooled or heated after throttle at normal temperature by the conversion characteristics are achieved. The experimental results agreed well with the theoretical results.

The superradiance phenomena of massive bosons and fermions in the Kerr space–time are studied in the Bargmann–Wigner formulation. In case of bi-spinor, the four independent components spinors correspond to the four bosonic freedom: one scalar and three vectors uniquely. The consistent description of the Bargmann–Wigner equations between fermions and bosons shows that the superradiance of the type with positive energy (0 < ω) and negative momentum near horizon (p H < 0) is shown not to occur. On the other hand, the superradiance of the type with negative energy (ω < 0) and positive momentum near horizon (0 < p H ) is still possible for both scalar bosons and spinor fermions.

A new spinning particle with a definite sign of the energy is defined on spacelike hypersurfaces after a critical discussion of the standard spinning particles. It is the pseudoclassical basis of the positive energy [Formula: see text] [or negative energy [Formula: see text]] part of the [Formula: see text] solutions of the Dirac equation. The study of the isolated system of N such spinning charged particles plus the electromagnetic field leads to their description in the rest frame Wigner-covariant instant form of dynamics on the Wigner hyperplanes orthogonal to the total four-momentum of the isolated system (when it is timelike). We find that on such hyperplanes these spinning particles have a nonminimal coupling only of the type "spin–magnetic field," like the nonrelativistic Pauli particles to which they tend in the nonrelativistic limit. The Lienard–Wiechert potentials associated with these charged spinning particles are found. Then, a comment is made on how to quantize the spinning particles respecting their fibered structure describing the spin structure.

The studies on Rousseauist work seem to have said it all, yet an apparently innocuous fact has rekindled our curiosity and prompted us to take another reading of the Confessions by trying to grasp the vector of singularity in its multiple dimensions, which give the Confessions the status of constituent speeches within the meaning of D. Maingueneau. We will analyze our corpus through the procedures of discourse analysis, also using lexicometry. Our intention is not in analytical completeness but to decipher what from 1782 to the present day still arouses much passion and debate.

The aim of this paper is to comprehensively reconstruct the reception of postmodernism in Peter McLaren’s critical/radical pedagogy. On a more general level, the article discusses the pedagogical perils of uncriticalinfatuation with poststructuralist and postmodernist principles of dismantling grand metanarratives and debunking the notions of truth, totality, and universalism and replacing them with the notions of pluralism and perspectivism. The author seeks to verify the statement that McLaren’s response to postmodern developments in philosophy and social theory is in as much similar to that of Henry Giroux’s that it produces a project of education informed by postmodern ideas. The thesis – advanced in the mid 1990s by Tomasz Szkudlarek – is refuted on the basis of thorough a analysis of both earlier and more contemporary texts of McLaren where the main tenets of postmodern theory are severely criticized. The argument about the evolution of McLaren’s thought from a cautious appropriation of some elements of postmodernism to its downright condemnation is supported by the theory of its increasing radicalization under the influence of Marxism. The alternative to the illusory radicality of postmodernism – denounced as affirming the status-quo – is “pedagogy of revolution,” which emerges as strictly political, interventionist praxis whose aim is no longer discourse analysis but concrete social struggle against the oppressive capitalist class relations.

Currently, the use of mobile applications is of utmost importance, since it allows the availability of information at all times. The mobile application described in this article was made to follow up on the Requests for Access to Information and is part of a web system, with which an internal control of the Requests for Access to Information that are sent to the Dependencies, Entities, Auxiliary Bodies and Trusts of the State Public Administration. The application will attend to the requests and thus, the times of attention to them are met within the terms established by the Law of Transparency and Access to Public Information for the State of Oaxaca (LGTAIPO). The mobile application allows the monitoring of information requests received, shows the status in which they are through a colored traffic light, meetings can be scheduled, allows the registration of the user's profile, and, has an internal chat so that dependencies can communicate with each other and send notifications. The development methodology used for this project was Extreme Programming using the Dart programming language.

"In the context of economic disparities among the countries of the European Union, the paper analyses the status of financial literacy for people living in East European countries, the way to increase financial knowledge through financial education and finally leading to a higher and more effective financial inclusion. Economic gaps are a major challenge for Eastern European countries. Their recovery can be done through efficient public policies harmonized with actions to increase the degree of financial education of the population. Policy makers, public institutions and non-profit organisation involved in financial education matters can benefit from this analysis and conclusion just as much as researchers. "
