School Counselor Burnout, Job Stress, and Job Satisfaction by Student Caseload

In this cross-sectional quantitative study, we employed survey research to examine the differences in school counselors’ ( N = 327) burnout, job stress, and job satisfaction based on their student caseload size. The results indicated that higher caseloads were associated with higher degrees of burnout and job stress, along with lower job satisfaction. The results produced small to medium effect sizes. We discussed how such factors relate to the effectiveness of providing student services and school leaders’ support for school counselors.

The relationships of perceived mattering to others, job-related stress, and job satisfaction were examined for 388 elementary, middle, and high school counselors from across the United States. Participants completed the School Counselor Mattering Scale, the School Counselor Job-Stress Assessment, and several job satisfaction questions in order to assess perceptions of mattering to others at their schools and their job-related stress, and how these two constructs relate to school counselors’ overall job satisfaction. Mattering to others at work and job-related stress accounted for 35% of the variance in job satisfaction for the total sample of school counselors; however, mattering did not moderate the relationship between job stress and job satisfaction. Results revealed that elementary school counselors experienced the greatest job satisfaction and the lowest levels of job-related stress, and high school counselors experienced the greatest job dissatisfaction and the greatest levels of job-related stress. Implications for school counselors’ mattering and job satisfaction are considered.

ABSTRACT   The study aims todetermine the relationship between parenting style and the level of independence of Personal Hygiene Hand Wasting and Tooth Brush in Preschoolers in Kindergarten Negeri Pembina Blora in 2019. The study is a quantitative study, based on the research location including the type of field reseaerch, based on the ansence of the treatment of subjects including survey research, based on time is a cross sectional study, and based on objectives includin correlation analytics. The population in this study were all parents in Kindergarten Negeri Pembina Blora as many as 85 respondents. Based on the sample calculation, the sample obtained in this study that most parent in Kindergarten Negeri Pembina Blora amounted to 70 respondents. Srearmen’s rho test analysis results parenting parents with the level of independence of personal hygiene hand wasting result obtained p value = 0,000 < α (0,05), and parenting patters with the independence of personal hygiene tooth brush obtained results p value = 0,000 < α (0,05). So it can be concluded that were is a significant relationship between parenting parents with the level of independence of personal hygiene washing hands and brushing their tooth at preschoolers in Kindergarten Negeri Pembina Blora in 2019. Keywords: parenting; personal hygiene, preschool ABSTRAK   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Hubungan Pola Asuh Orangtua Terhadap Tingkat Kemandirian Personal Hygiene Cuci Tangan dan Gogok Gigi pada Anak Prasekolah di TK Negeri Pembina Blora Tahun 2019. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif, berdasarkan tempat penelitian termasuk jenis penelitian lapangan, berdasarkan tidak adanya perlakuan terhadap subjek termasuk penelitian survey, berdasarkan waktu merupakan penelitian cross sectional, dan berdasarkan tujuan termasuk analitik korelasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh orangtua di TK Negeri Pembina Blora sebanyak 85 responden. Berdasarkan perhitungan sampel  maka diperoleh sampel pada penelitian ini adalah sebagian orangtua di TK Negeri Pembina Blora sebanyak 70 responden. Hasil analisis uji spearmen’s rho pola asuh orangtua dengan tingkat kemandirian personal hygiene cuci tangan didapatkan hasil p value = 0,000 < α (0,05), dan pola asuh orangtua dengan kemandirian personal hygiene gosok gigi didapatkan hasil p value = 0,000 < α (0,05). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara pola asuh orang tua dengan tingkat kemandirian personal hygiene cuci tangan dan gosok gigi pada anak prasekolah di TK Negeri Pembina Blora Tahun 2019. Studies conducted previously on the role-played by age in association with perceived organizational politics (POP) with different outcomes of job calls for more attention toward this domain. The current piece of research observes the effect of POP on job outcomes that include turnover intentions (intent to leave), job stress, and job satisfaction. It also sheds light on the age moderation in the POP association with job outcomes. The data used in this research were diverse and collected through self-administered and cross-sectional questionnaires. Multiple regression analysis was used as data analysis technique. Precisely, this research discovered that POP has a positive connection with job stress and intent to leave, while having no connection with job satisfaction. Moreover, POP impacts on job satisfaction and job stress was found to be positive in younger employees whereas in older employees, it affected both these variables negatively.

Tingkat  stres kerja berlebihan  dapat berdampak  negatif  terhadap  prestasi  kerja karyawan  PT. KAI yang pada akhirnya dapat merugikan perusahaan. Apalagi jika stres kerja tersebut berada dalam taraf tinggi tentu akan  memberikan  dampak  negatif.  Tujuan  penelitian  ini adalah  mengetahui  hubungan  antara  stress kerja dengan kepuasan kerja pada masinis PT Kereta Api Indonesia di UPT Crew Semarang Poncol. Jenis  penelitian  adalah  korelasi  dengan  pendekatan  cross  sectional.  Populasi  dalam  penelitian  ini adalah seluruh masinis PT Kereta Api Indonesia UPT Crew Semarang Poncol sejumlah 223 orang. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah accidental sampling dengan jumlah 143 orang. Hasil  penelitian  didapatkan  bahwa  tingkat  stres kerja yang dialami  oleh responden  sebagian  besar adalah tinggi yaitu sebanyak  67,1%. Kepuasan  kerja responden  sebagian  besar dalam kategori  tidak puas yaitu sebanyak 78 orang (54,5%). Ada hubungan antara tingkat stress dengan kepuasan kerja pada masinis PT Kereta Api Indonesia di UPT Crew Semarang Poncol.Berdasarkan  hasil tersebut  PTKAI diharapkan dapat menambah jumlah masinis dengan pola shift kerja yang longgar sehingga masinis memiliki waktu isirahat yang cukup untuk mengurangi stress akibat jadwal kerja yang padat. Kata kunci : Stres Kerja, Kepuasan Kerja. STRESS LEVEL RELATIONSHIP WITH JOB SATISFACTIONAT INDONESIAN PT TRAIN ENGINEERING AT UPT CREW SEMARANG PONCOL Excessive work stress levels can have a negative impact on employee performance at PT. KAI which in the end can harm the company. Moreover, if the work stress is at a high level, it will certainly have a negative impact. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between job stress and job satisfaction at PT Kereta Api Indonesia machinists at UPT Crew Semarang Poncol. This type of research is correlation with cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all engineers of PT Kereta Api Indonesia UPT Crew Semarang Poncol totaling 223 people. The sampling technique used is accidental sampling with a total of 143 people. The results showed that the level of work stress experienced by most of the respondents was high as much as 67.1%. Most of the respondents' job satisfaction was in the dissatisfied category as many as 78 people (54.5%). There is a relationship between stress levels and job satisfaction at PT Kereta Api Indonesia's machinists at UPT Crew Semarang Poncol. Based on these results PTKAI is expected to increase the number of drivers with a loose work shift pattern so that the machinists have sufficient rest time to reduce stress due to a busy work schedule. . Keywords: Job Stress, Job Satisfaction.

Little is known about working conditions of social workers providing help in homeless and refugee aid. Therefore, the present study examined their work-related demands, job and personal resources as well as workplace violence, domain-specific demands, and gender-related differences. Job demands and resources were analyzed with regard to their association with job stress and job satisfaction. Two hundred and fifty-three social workers (69.2% female, 30.8% male) from four federal states in Germany (Berlin, Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein, and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania) took part in the cross-sectional quantitative online survey that included validated scales and exploratory items especially developed for the target group. Multiple regression analysis showed that resilience as a personal resource was a significant negative predictor of perceived job stress. Emotional demands were positively related with perceived job stress. Meaning of work and social support were strongly associated with job satisfaction. Language and bureaucratic barriers as well as being affected by clients’ experiences were the domain-specific demands named most often. The study offers insights into the work-related demands and resources and their respective impact on perceived job stress and job satisfaction experienced by social workers in refugee and homeless aid. In order to ensure health and safety for this occupational group, health promotion measures focusing on structural aspects are recommended.

The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between psychological empowerment and job satisfaction of engineers in a chemical industry. A cross-sectional design was used. Stratified random samples of engineers (N=91) were taken. The Measuring Empowerment Questionnaire and the Minnesota Job Satisfaction Questionnaire were used as measuring instruments. Pearson-moment correlations indicated a correlation of large effect between psychological empowerment and job satisfaction. Overall empowerment was found to be positively related to all satisfaction subscales. Positive correlations of large effect were obtained between job satisfaction and meaning, impact, and self-determination. A positive correlation of medium effect was obtained between job satisfaction and competence. Multiple regression analysis indicated that 70.5 per cent of the variance of job satisfaction was explained by subdimensions of psychological empowerment, although impact was not found to hold a significant amount of predictive value with regard to job satisfaction.
