Banking sector is predominantly a customer-focused business that provides a gamut of financial services in aid of advanced technology, prompt communication system and conception of various banks to deal with multinational led environment. Some priority should be given to human resource development in order to emerge as strong and viable financial institution. So, the banking sector should emphasize on employees and how they can be satisfied, engaged and perform better. This study indicates to what extent employee satisfaction and employee performance are interlinked with each other. The purpose of this study is to explore the factors of employee satisfaction and employee performance and to establish a relationship between them. A survey method using a structured questionnaire was used to collect the responses of bankers in SBI, Bhubaneswar region. Having the data collected from 240 filled questionnaires, analysis was carried out using exploratory factor analysis, and to further validate this, structural equation modelling was developed. This was followed by a confirmatory factor analysis to establish the linkage between employee satisfaction and employee performance. The results indicated a significant relationship between employee satisfaction and performance. This study contributes to understanding of the various factors affecting employee satisfaction and performance, especially in the banking sector. By focusing on employee satisfaction, managers can keep the employees more focused, engaged and committed to their work and enhance overall productivity of the organization.

The research aims to analyze how WFH influences corporate culture through the availability of work facilities, motivation, work behavior, and employee performance. It is quantitative research using structural equation modeling. Data were obtained from 32 respondents that spread across Jakarta, Bekasi, and West Java. The results of this research show that WFH significantly affects the employee’s motivation. On the other hand, WFH has a significant direct effect on work motivation. Work motivation significantly affects work behavior. Work behavior affects employee performance significantly, and performance has a significant effect on innovative corporate culture. The analysis on the specific indirect effect resulted in significantly influencing innovation corporate culture from home through employee motivation, work behavior, and employee performance. Further research could explore the WFH-implementing mechanism as part of a culture of innovation for sustainable human resource development in the new-normal era of Indonesian companies

The results of the study indicate that employees were not satisfied with their work discipline, competence, and empowerment. Thus, job satisfaction cannot be compared to employee performance. Applying a survey method to reveal the perceptions of 376 employees of the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency of the Republic of Indonesia, starting from August 2016 - August 2017, this study reveals work discipline, competence, and empowerment had implications for job satisfaction in improving employee performance. Data were analysed descriptively (weighted mean score) and inferentially (Structural Equation Modeling). The results showed that: (1) Work discipline, competence, empowerment, job satisfaction and performance of the civil servants at the Ministry of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency of the Republic of Indonesia were in “good” category, albeit not optimal; (2) Work discipline, competence, and empowerment simultaneously and partially had significant effect on civil servants’ job satisfaction at the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency of the Republic of Indonesia; and (3) Work discipline, competence, and empowerment both directly and indirectly (through Job Satisfaction) were simultaneously and significantly related to the performance of civil servants of the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency of the Republic of Indonesia.

The aim of this paper is to explore the influence of training and development on employee’s performance through different dimensions. Moreover, this study proposes a model in the area of human resource development to be used for testing and improving the performance of employees in the Indian travel and tourism sector. An integrated model was developed highlighting the relationship between the training and development and employee performance. Using the sample of 146 employees, structural equation modelling (SEM) was employed to validate the hypothesized relationship by evaluating the responses of employees working in the Indian travel agencies. The findings of this study demonstrate a strong relationship between training and development and employee performance in the travel industry and also can be used by managers and HR professionals for organizing exclusive training programs for improving employee's performance based on the dimensions used in this paper. The present study provides an empirical and theoretical explanation of different dimensions associated with training and development and employee performance, especially in the Indian tourism industry.

This research uses quantitative research, the aim is to determine the influence of human resource development, religiosity, on employee performance with job satisfaction as an intervening variable. In this study, data was collected by distributing questionnaires to 100 employees using a purposive sampling method to determine respondents' responses to existing variables. The analysis was performed using the method of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on partial least square (PLS). The results of the analysis show that human resource development has no effect on employee performance, religiosity has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Human resource development has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, religiosity has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, and job satisfaction variables have a positive and significant effect in moderating human resource development on employee performance and religiosity on employee performance. This means that the more often human resource development is given, the higher the employee's performance and the higher the employee's religiosity, the higher the employee's performance will be and will result in job satisfaction for employees at the Sharia Business Unit Bank in Palembang City.  Keywords: Human Resources Development, Religiosity, Employee Performance, and Job Satisfaction.

One of the key elements in the operational performance of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) is the improvement of quality planning, human resources (HRs), and financial management that can serve as a monitoring tool as well as a performance driver. Herein, the research examined the extent to which employee engagement, comprised of cognitive engagement, emotional engagement, and behavioral engagement could drive employee performance in Indonesian SOEs. The research was conducted with a survey method to 429 middle managers in 141 SOEs in Indonesia. Data were collected through an indirect communication technique using a questionnaire and direct communication techniques using limited interviews and documentary studies. Data were analyzed descriptively through weighted averages and inferentially through Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). The results of the study show that: Employee engagement in Indonesian SOEs was in the “good” category, but not optimal. The performance of the SOEs managers was measured based on the total performance scorecard (TPS). Employee engagement (cognitive, emotional, and behavioral) partially and simultaneously contributed positively and significantly to the improvement of the performance of Indonesian SOEs based on the total performance scorecard
