This empirical study proposed a comprehensive model testing the direct and indirect impacts of entrepreneurship extracurricular activities and entrepreneurship inspiration on students’ entrepreneurial intention. With the sample consisting of 640 students from 11 universities in Vietnam, the study used structural equation modeling analysis approach. The results revealed that entrepreneurship extracurricular activities and entrepreneurship inspiration are significantly related to students’ entrepreneurial intention, and entrepreneurship self-efficacy partially mediates these relations. The impact of entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurial intention differs across the field of study. Technical students generally get more benefits from entrepreneurship educational activities than business and economics students do. The research findings recommended some implications for fostering graduates’ entrepreneurship in emerging countries.

A business organization should always strive to maintain its sustainability by creating loyalty and purchase intention towards its products. The activity is specifically required for an organization engaged in the restaurant industry. The organization needs to be aware of which product attributes are in concern to the customers when purchasing the food in a restaurant. This research was intended to measure the importance of the quality from intrinsic and extrinsic attributes of a product for the customers and its impact on the customers’ loyalty and purchase intention. The research was conducted by involving the customers of a pizza product in Yogyakarta. 116 respondents were selected using convenience sampling technique. Meanwhile, the data being obtained were analyzed by using structural equation modeling (SEM) approach and data processing program named AMOS 20.0 after going through two stages of testing, namely data validity and data reliability tests. The results showed that the intrinsic attributes quality has a direct and positive impact on the customer’s purchase intention, but there is no impact  on their loyalty. On the other hand, the extrinsic attributes quality has both direct and indirect impacts on the purchase intention through the loyalty mediator variable. The results also demonstrated the dominance of the importance of loyalty in the research model. This was indicated by the significance of direct impact or predictive total impact of loyalty towards purchase intention as compared to the impact of intrinsic and extrinsic attributes quality.

This article extends the debate regarding entrepreneurial intention antecedents. It seeks to achieve an in-depth understanding of the direct influence of attitude, entrepreneurial education (EE), and gender on entrepreneurial intention (EI), but also of the moderator effect of family background on the EE–EI relationship in an international context. The study employs structural equation modeling (SEM) to test our hypotheses. Data analysis is based on the information of French and international postgraduate students in French business schools. The results suggest a positive and significant causal relationship between attitude and EI for both samples. However, the results also reveal that EE has a negative influence on EI development. As such, our results open interesting perspectives regarding EI antecedents, but also concerning the efficiency of the pedagogical approach adapted on EE.

This study examines the impact of using Islamic microfinance products on the Mauritanian microentrepreneurs’ income level. The study is purely quantitative, and it uses cross-sectional design data, which was gathered through a questionnaire from a sample of 381 beneficiaries of an Islamic microfinance institution (PROCAPEC). It uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to determine the effectiveness of using Islamic microfinance products on the beneficiaries’ income as well as to test the moderator effect of gender on the relationship in the model. The research found out that the use of Islamic microfinance products has increased the beneficiaries’ income; however, gender has no moderator effect on the relationship between the usage of Islamic microfinance products and income level. These findings help the policymakers and managers of Islamic microfinance consider the factors increasing Islamic microfinance products’ usage to reduce poverty in the country. This study is among the pioneer in the field of Islamic microfinance in Mauritania due to the scarcity of studies in the geographical context.

Entrepreneurial intention plays a decisive role in the process of becoming an entrepreneur. It is not only the prerequisite for establishing a business but it also influences an individual’s behavior. This study aims to investigate the impact of three key personality traits of a prospective entrepreneur (entrepreneurial passion, creativity, and self-efficacy) in shaping their entrepreneurial intention. It is proposed that entrepreneurial passion, creativity, and self-efficacy positively influence entrepreneurial intention. Primary data were collected from 408 Chartered Accountancy (CA) students of the National Capital Region (NCR) of India with the help of a structured questionnaire. The cluster sampling method was used to select the sample from the targeted population. The data were analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM). The results establish that the entrepreneurial intention of CA students is significantly influenced by their creativity, entrepreneurial passion, and self-efficacy, as all three traits allow an entrepreneur to identify opportunities with profit potential. A student who is passionate, creative, and confident in exploiting the new business idea will develop an intention to become an entrepreneur. The present study contributes to the literature by investigating the entrepreneurial intention of CA students, which has not been explored earlier. The significance of this study facilitates academicians and accounting organizations to focus on the personality traits of students, which helps in developing entrepreneurial intention in them.

Pakistan holds an important geographical status, but extremism and sabotage have severely damaged the tourism industry. In the present study, we examined the impact of destination image (DI) on tourist loyalty (TL) and intension to visit (IV) in Pakistan. Additionally, the study analyzed the mediation effects of electronic word of mouth (eWOM) and tourist satisfaction (TS) on these relationships. Data was collected from 780 tourists in Pakistan. We used confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structural equation modeling (SEM) to obtain the results. Our results demonstrated the positive relationships among DI, eWOM, TS, TL, and IV. This study also disclosed that eWOM has a partial mediation effect on the DI–TL relationship, and both eWOM and TS fully mediate the association between DI and IV. Hence, tourist satisfaction can be enhanced by eWOM and destination image, which directly effect tourist loyalty and intention to visit in Pakistan. The proposed framework and research findings will help stakeholders significantly to recognize the multi-facet association in the tourism industry of Pakistan. Testing the above relationships through multiple mediators is a relatively novel idea.

Purpose The purpose of this study underpins investigation of the impact of human IT capabilities (comprising business functions, interpersonal management and technology management expertise) on organizational agility (in terms of sensing and responding agilities). The moderating influence of IT infrastructure spending on this human IT–agility linkage is also thoroughly investigated. Design/methodology/approach Primary data collected from 300 IT personnel working in various publicly owned banking groups functioning across India are used for this study and structural equation modeling (SEM) is used to assess the human IT–agility link. Findings The two-fold research findings highlight the following: first, human IT capabilities enable both the sensing and responding components of agility and second, firms need to focus on translating huge and impudent IT investments into building superior capabilities to effectively shape agility. Originality/value This study greatly contributes to the information system (IS) literature by examining human IT capability and agility in terms of second-order constructs and provides a more holistic and comprehensive understanding of this unique relationship. The study precisely investigates the manner in which distinct human IT capability dimensions interact with both types of agilities along with the moderating effect of IT spending on this linkage.

COVID-19 has disrupted educational institutes across the world. Teachers and students are now forced to teach and study online for an unidentified period, which severely hampers the learning capacity as well the student’s intention toward entrepreneurship. This study compared the impact of traditional teaching and teaching through online management simulation games on student learning performance and further leads to entrepreneurial intention. To further understand the desirability of business simulation games, we used the technology acceptance model (TAM) and extended it by employing knowledge sharing, knowledge application, learnability, perceived pleasure, and self-efficacy as exogenous variables. For this purpose, time-lagged data were collected from 277 students enrolled in entrepreneurship courses in public sector universities. To deal with homogeneity and generalizability issues, students from different collaborative universities were asked to participate in the study. Structural equation modeling was employed for analysis, where the results depict that the students learning performance was enhanced after using simulation games compared to regular theoretical online lectures, which further encouraged them to be entrepreneurs. We also concluded that simulation games are novel and effective online teaching methodology for students during a time of crisis. The study concludes with its theoretical, practical implications, and directions for future researchers.
