Introduction: The aging of China's population has further deepened, and according to the results of the seventh national census, the population aged 60 years and above in China was 264.02 million, accounting for 18.70% (China.2021).The rapid growth of the elderly population has led to an increase a geriatric orthopedic morbidity. The hip fracture is one of the common orthopedic diseases, which has posed a severe threat to the elderly's life and health (Yu, 2019).Purpose: In this study, we investigated the domestic and international literature, focusing on the analysis of DVT nursing prevention programs for elderly patients after hip arthroplasty, and proposed the current nursing research progress in preventing DVT to help elderly patients actively cope with DVT, improve the quality of life in later life, and make DVT a truly preventable disease.Method: Electronic searches using scholarly databases were employed and only significant articles that met the review objective were utilized.Findings: Currently, the main treatment option for hip fracture patients in clinical practice is surgery, and how to prevent Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) is an important task in the postoperative care of elderly orthopedic patients (Li, 2016). Research studies have shown that all elderly patients are at a very high risk of DVT during hospitalization, but the current trend is that 50% of patients at high risk of thrombosis are still not actively and effectively prevented from developing thrombosis for various reasons. Conclusion: This disease, which has a high incidence, a high mortality rate, and is difficult to prevent, requires increased attention and necessitates exploration to derive effective nursing intervention programs and related nursing measures to prevent reduce the formation of DVT and alleviate suffering for patient (Xu, 2016).In this review, we summarized the main nursing methods for preventing deep vein thrombosis of the lower extremities after hip fracture surgery in the elderly. Elderly patients are a special group of people, both physically and psychologically in a relatively fragile state, especially after the operation, so they need to be more careful in nursing work. In addition to general physical care, the care of their psychological state is also extremely important. This article describes in detail the physiological and psychological nursing interventions for patients, which can effectively guide and help medical staff to cope with the clinical care of such patients, and enable patients to better recover from surgery and trauma, and obtain a good prognosis.

Postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD), as one of the common postoperative complications, mainly occurs after surgery and anesthesia, especially in the elderly. It refers to cognitive function changes such as decreased learning and memory ability and inability to concentrate. In severe cases, there could be personality changes and a decline in social behavior. At present, a great deal of research had been carried out on POCD, but its specific mechanism remains unclear. The release of peripheral inflammation-related factors, the degradation and destruction of the blood-brain barrier, the occurrence of central inflammation, and the neuronal apoptosis and synaptic loss could be promoted by neuroinflammation indicating that inflammatory mechanisms may play key roles in the occurrence of POCD.

Osteoporosis is a systemic chronic metabolic bone disease, mainly in the elderly and postmenopausal women. At present, most of the clinical treatment is western medicine, but the curative effect is not very significant. In the treatment of osteoporosis, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is mainly based on the overall concept of TCM. This article briefly analyzes osteoporosis from the theory of “liver and kidney homology,” discusses the research on osteoporosis in TCM, and hopes to provide reference for the clinical treatment and research of osteoporosis.

AbstractEpilepsy is a common neurological disease that not only causes difficulties in the work and life activities of patients, but also brings complex social problems. Cerebrovascular disease is currently the main cause of epilepsy in the elderly. With the increased survival rate of patients after stroke, the incidence of epilepsy after stroke has also increased. Effective prediction of epilepsy after stroke is extremely crucial for the prognosis of patients, the initiation of antiepileptic therapy and the reduction of epileptic seizures. In this review, we summarize and compare the current models for the prediction of epilepsy after stroke, including the SeLECT prediction model, Post-Stroke Epilepsy Risk Scale (PoSERS), CAVE score, electroencephalogram (EEG) prediction model, and Scandinavian Stroke Scale (SSS) score, in order to provide reference for clinical practice and future research. Prediction models can be selected based on the clinical classification of cerebrovascular events. The SeLECT score prognostic model is a better choice for ischemic stroke, especially for the exclusive prediction of mild post stroke epilepsy. The CAVE score model is suitable for intra-cerebral hemorrhage patients. It is simple and offers high correlation between the risk factors and epilepsy. The PoSERS score simultaneously predicts ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, and is superior to other methods in specificity as well as positive and negative prediction rate. The SSS score, which only measures stroke severity, is not strictly considered as a mature predictor, but it can be used as a first step screening tool. A growing number of large studies are under the way to identify risk factors of poststroke epilepsy (PSE) and to improve the inclusion of predictive indicators. New and advanced findings by EEG recordings may further improve the prediction of PSE.

The population in the world is increasing at a phenomenal rate, the care for elders has become a big issue for the government and society. In a latest survey it is found that the elders who wanted to sprout in their own house has increased to the rate more than 85%. The main issue is on how to reach elder’s need and mitigate burden for their children. The services of nurses could reach 3.3 trillion yuan in the year 2020, so the need for the elderly nursing will increase to a great extend for national economy. Hence the need for robotization for elderly nursing will become trend in future. Research shows that the robots can be designed in various ways with a path towards the wellbeing as main function. Therefore, it is admissible for nursing researchers to develop nursing care robots for the betterment of society and enter a postmodern era and science and practise.
