'Corporate Entrepreneurship, also known as Intrapreneurship is the process of profitably creating innovation within an organizational setting. Most companies are realizing the need for corporate entrepreneuring. This need has arisen as response to (1) the rapidly growing number of new sophisticated competitors, (2) a sense of distrust in th    e traditional methods of corporate management, and (3) an exodus of some of the best and brightest people form corporations to become small business entrepreneurs. Thus corporate entrepreneurship or intrapreneurship has been practiced in all industries, including the Tourism industry.In this article effort have been made to demonstrate the techniques of implementing intrapreneurship with examples from the tourism industry. Tourism, being the major factor of global economic development, needs to be nourished with constant innovations and new venture creations. Intrapreneurship has proved to provide these innovations and new ventures. A case of Southwest Airlines of USA, is presented to portray how the intrapreneurship principles are applied effectively

This research extends bribery research toward entrepreneurial theory and practice by examining how bribery impacts new venture disbanding in China. Existing research suggests that bribery may enhance firms’ competitive advantage; however, building off of resource-based view and taking into consideration the institutional context in China, the current study proposes that firm bribery activity hurts new ventures by increasing the hazard of venture disbanding. Further, guided by resource dependence theory, this study examines how local economic development and organizing activity moderate the relation between bribery and disbanding. In particular, it is proposed that when local economic development is suffering, or when firms are not engaging in appropriate organizing activities, bribery will lead to higher chance of new venture disbanding. Data from Chinese entrepreneurs support these hypotheses.

Due to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, the losses of the tourism industry in Ukraine in 2020 are estimated at more than 1.5 billion dollars. USA. The current situation requires an adequate response from the government and business, which leads to an increased need for the use of scientific tools to justify the options for optimal economic development and relevant management decisions. Under such conditions, the key to sustainable development of the tourism industry should be the maximum use of management tools: management accounting, analysis and audit, implemented in the concept of their effective interaction. The aim of the article is to improve the theoretical and praxeological principles of management accounting, analysis and audit in the tourism management system, by developing the concept of their synergy and substantiation of prospects for implementation as a key imperative for sustainable development of the tourism industry. The economic and social significance of tourism in modern conditions is determined by the fact that the tourism business contributes to economic development, developing related industries, promotes employment, growth of gross domestic product, is a significant source of foreign exchange earnings. Experts from the World Tourism Organization emphasize the historical sustainability of tourism and its ability to create jobs after crises, and emphasize the importance of international cooperation and ensuring that the sector becomes a central part of the recovery effort after the coronavirus pandemic. To increase the efficiency of the tourism industry, as an imperative for sustainable development of the national economy, it is advisable to use such management system tools as management accounting, analysis and audit, implemented in the concept of effective interaction. The article identifies the place of a separate concept in the formation of the paradigm of management accounting, analysis and audit. One of the concepts that contributes to the modern audit paradigm is the concept of synergy between internal and external audit proposed in this study. A qualitative feature of the proposed concept is the two-vector direction of its action, as it is aimed at meeting the needs of internal and external users of information, which fundamentally distinguishes it from other concepts of audit. The proposed scheme of management of the tourist enterprise on the basis of interaction of administrative accounting, business analysis and audit will promote their practical realization in activity of the subject of tourist business. One of the concepts that contributes to the modern audit paradigm was the concept of synergy of internal and external audit proposed in this study. A qualitative featureof the proposed concept is the two-vector direction of its action, as it is aimed at meeting the needs of internal and external users of information, which fundamentally distinguishes it from other concepts of audit. The practical implementation of the interaction of management accounting tools, business analysis and audit at the micro level will also be facilitated by the developed scheme of tourism enterprise management based on the interaction of management accounting, business analysis and audit.

Entrepreneurs all over the world have contributed to the economic development of their region. They play a major role not only in organizing production, but in a broader sense, promote the process of economic development. The function of an entrepreneur is to reform or revolutionize the pattern of production by exploiting an invention or more generally an untried technology possibly for producing a new commodity or producing an old one in a new way, by opening up a new source of supply of raw materials or developing a new market. The factor responsible for change, development and ultimately economic growth is innovation. Innovation is the key for not only in developing, new products or (services) for the market but also in stimulating investment interest in the new ventures being created. Innovation is the principal ingredient of entrepreneurship.Tourism is a smokeless service industry as it consumes less energy and pollutes least compared to any manufacturing industry. United Nations, World Tourism Organization and Department of Tourism Government of India have bestowed 'Industry' status to tourism in order to enable the industry to enjoy all the incentives and grants offered to industries in general. Currently tourism enjoys the pride of being the second largest growing industry next to IT. Tourism promotes better national and international relationship through cross culture interaction. Backward areas with its residing people can be uplifted with tourism activities without investing in capital intensive industries. The importance of tourism industry is more pronounced as it employs the largest number of manpower and earns the maximum foreign exchange. Being a part of the services sector tourism has also given birth to innumerable entrepreneurs who thrived on their personal creativity and innovativeness.An effort has been made in this paper to present the career progress of Captain Gopinath who is undoubtedly one of the greatest tourism/ entrepreneurs of the 21s1 century in India. Gopinath sacrificed a secured career in the Indian armed forces to strike on his own and in the process established a number of entrepreneurial establishments in aviation and tourism industry. Captain Gopinath neither followed management theories nor had formal management qualifications. But his actions and achievements had close resemblance with the deliberations of the best management gurus. A study have been conducted to compare the behaviors, actions and achievements of Captain Gopinath with the works of great authors who have researched and contributed over the years on 'Entrepreneurship'.

PurposeThe purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of opportunity relatedness and uncertainty on the decision of a corporate entrepreneur to pursue a venturing opportunity.Design/methodology/approachThe study uses a conjoint experimental design to reveal the structure of respondents' decision policies. Data were gathered from 47 useable replies from corporate entrepreneurs and were analyzed with hierarchical linear modeling (HLM).FindingsResults show that product relatedness, market relatedness, perceived certainty about expected outcomes and slack resources all have a positive effect on the willingness of a corporate entrepreneur to pursue a new venture idea. Moreover, slack was found to diminish the positive effect of product relatedness on the likelihood to pursue a venturing opportunity.Practical implicationsBy providing a better understanding of decision-making schemas of corporate entrepreneurs, the findings of this study help improve the practice of entrepreneurship at the organizational level. In order to make more accurate opportunity assessments, corporate entrepreneurs need to be aware of their cognitive strategies and need to factor in the salient criteria affecting such assessments.Originality/valueThis paper adds to the limited understanding of corporate-level decision-making with regard to pursuing venturing opportunities. More specifically, the paper adds new insights regarding how relatedness and uncertainty affect new venture opportunity assessments in the presence (or lack thereof) of slack resources.

Tourism supply chain management has become an important research topic as individual firms no longer compete as isolated entities but rather as supply chains in the tourism industry. Despite the evidence that benefits can be gained to improve profitability, competitiveness, and customer satisfaction, the research on how to manage the tourism supply chain is very limited. This research contributes to the literature by applying the theory of constraints (TOC) with systems thinking to tourism supply chain management. It proposes that the key issue in tourism supply chain management is the coordination of business activities and the TOC with systems thinking can effectively support tourism supply chain coordination of the various links and processes. The article examines the TOC performance measures and the drum–buffer–rope model in the context of tourism management and applies the focusing process of the TOC as a continuous improvement approach for tourism supply chain management. The research findings suggest that, given modifications to the TOC terminology and the principles, the TOC principles can work as an excellent approach to facilitate the tourism supply chain management.

In the developing economy, tourism is the most visible and steadiest growing facade. Tourism is considered one of the rapidly increasing elements for economic development from the last two decades. Therefore, the proposed study used vector autoregression (VAR) model, error correction model (ECM), and the Granger causality to check the relationship between the tourism industry and economic growth based on the data of the Beijing municipal bureau of statistics from 1994 to 2015. Gross domestic product (GDP) is used as a replacement variable for the economic growth index, while internal tourism revenue is used as a tourism industry indicator. The study supports the tourism-led growth hypothesis proposed in the existing literature in a different survey of tourism and economic development. The results show that there is a strong relationship in the tourism industry and economic growth in the context of Beijing, and at the same time, tourism creates a more significant increase in long run local real economic accomplishments. The results of the VAR model confirm that in the long run, Beijing’s economic growth is affected by domestic tourism, while the ECM model shows unidirectional results in the short term. Similarly, there is a one-way causal relationship between the tourism industry and economic growth in Beijing, China. The empirical results are in strong support of the concept that tourism causes growth.

Introduction. The development of the tourism industry significantly affects the development of the country's economy as a whole. Its role is determined not only in the financial contribution, but also in stimulating other related industries that perform both ancillary and independent functions. The modern Ukrainian tourist market is undergoing many changes, so one of the current problems today is the use of effective tools for finding and systematizing the necessary information to forecast the development of the tourism industry. The purpose of the paper is to define the concept of monitoring the tourism industry as a means of improving the efficiency of state regulation of the economy, proving the importance of monitoring research, identifying problems of monitoring and ways to solve them. Results. The main purpose of tourism monitoring is to assess and forecast the state of tourism. Tourist services are localized and specialize in meeting the socio-economic needs of the population directly at the municipal level and are one of the main sources of funds coming to the state budget and ensure the reproduction of social infrastructure. In order to analyze trends in tourism and tourism in Ukraine, as well as assess the socio-economic effect of the implementation of measures of state support for domestic and inbound tourism, the central executive bodies of state regions of Ukraine, carrying out executive and administrative activities in tourism, the state of the tourism industry is being monitored. Given the large recreational and tourist potential in Ukraine, there is no full-fledged system of monitoring the market of tourist services by the state. This is due to the lack of an independent executive body in the field of tourism, endowed with certain powers, and a single system of statistical indicators of the market of tourist services. Modern statistics, both at the state and regional levels, do not give a complete picture of the state of tourism. Monitoring of tourist resources, objects of the tourist industry should give a clear picture of interaction of various branches of economy of the republic for the purposes of a complex estimation of directions of improvement and efficiency of functioning of the connected branches, exclusion of interbranch disproportions which negatively affect general development. Conclusion. To increase the growth rate of the tourism industry, the formation of a positive tourist image of the region, increase its visibility requires constant monitoring of the state and development of the tourism market. Monitoring will allow tracking the trends of the tourism market in the dynamics and promptly make changes to the developed programs and plans for the development of the tourism industry, develop recommendations for their adjustment, increase the effectiveness of tourism management.
