The introduction of information and communication technologies into the educational process began more than twenty years ago, along with the rapid spreading of computers around the world. However, not all educational institutions have supported the inclusion of information and communication technologies into the educational process for the above-mentioned quite a long period of time. Most likely, this was due to insufficient financial investments in modernization. In addition, insufficient attention was initially paid to training of teachers for working with digital technologies. At present, when information and communication competence has already been included into all international standards for teachers, it turned out that neither graduates from teacher training institutes nor teachers who have been working for already a long period of time have sufficient competencies for using digital technologies in practice. A comparative analysis of Russian and European professional standards for teachers is carried out, and the competencies they should possess are considered. Various versions of the information literacy definitions are given, which have undergone changes in the technological development process. Special attention is paid to the requirements for competencies of foreign language teachers in the field of digital technologies. The list of the currently available digital tools, including mobile devices, is discussed. The students actively use such technologies to learn languages, but to yield a really positive effect, digital tools should be integrated directly into the educational process in a professional manner. The experience of work with digital technologies gained by the teachers of the NRU MPEI Department of Foreign Languages is considered. A conclusion has been drawn, according to which a high level of information literacy enables teachers not only to change their own pedagogical methods, but also to open new horizons for their students, who, in turn, gain access to high quality education.

These calculations showed that it is fundamentally important to introduce digital technologies at enterprises in various sectors of the economy. The article lists the main seven stages of introducing digital technologies into the management activities of enterprises. The above stages of introducing digital technologies into the activities of enterprises are used both for general strategic transformations at enterprises, and for individual management functions. It also reflects the main benefits of introducing digital technologies into strategic planning and profit management in enterprises. The main obstacles that may arise during the implementation of digital technologies are highlighted, among which the main one is associated with the human factor. It is also indicated in the article that almost all enterprises in their activities can start with the introduction of technologies for working with big data, which allow to efficiently process large volumes of information, analyze it and make management decisions based on the results. An analysis of modern research in the field of digital technologies implementation showed that digital technologies are necessary not only in the current activities of an enterprise, but also in strategic and management functions, especially in planning and managing the company's profit.

In the globalized world that we live in, people communicate by using not only their primary language, but all the languages they know complemented by the use of multimodal elements, like images, videos, emoticons, memes, and more. This idea of using the whole linguistic and semiotic repertoire for communication is called translanguaging. This chapter focuses on the notion of translanguaging and explores its implementation in relation to digital tools. It offers an evolution of the definition of translanguaging, and it continues by analyzing it as a theoretical and pedagogical approach. It also explores, based on the literature, the way that translanguaging can be practically implemented in educational practice and in combination with digital technologies. This chapter provides cases and examples of digital translanguaging, and it concludes by determining the gaps in the literature and the potential future steps in this area.

AbstractInternational relations (IR) scholars have recognized the importance of technology in enabling nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) to build transnational networks and enhance their influence. However, IR scholars have typically focused on elite networks across NGOs, states, and international organizations. This article considers how digital technologies generate new types of networked power between NGOs and their members. Digital tools allow for fast feedback from supporters, rapid surges in mobilization, and more decentralized campaigns. Importantly, in the digital era, NGOs must decide not only which digital platforms to use, but also whether to devolve decision-making to their supporters. Two questions arise: First, do NGO staff or supporters primarily define and produce advocacy content? Second, is the goal of digital activism to broaden or intensify participation? Answers to these questions generate four digital strategies: proselytizing, testing, conversing, and facilitating. These strategies change advocacy practices, but only facilitating strategies open up new forms of networked power based on supporter-to-supporter connections. Digital strategies have profound ramifications for individual organizations, the nature of the advocacy sector, and its power in relation to states, corporations, and other nonstate actors. Digital adoption patterns shape how NGOs choose campaigns, how they legitimate their claims, and what strategies they rely on.
