Methods/ApproachIn deciding to develop a series of dashboards to visually represent data stored in its MLM, the TDLU identified routine requests for these data and critically examined existing techniques for extracting data from its MLM. Traditionally Structured Query Language (SQL) queries were developed and used for a single purpose. By critically analysing limitations with this approach, the TDLU identified the power of BI tools and ease of use for both technical and non-technical staff. ResultsImplementing a BI tool is enabling quick and accurate production of a comprehensive array of information. Such information assists with cohort size estimation, producing data for routine and ad-hoc reporting, identifying data quality issues, and to answer questions from prospective users of linked data services including instantly producing estimates of links stored across disparate datasets. Conclusion BI tools are not traditionally considered integral to the operations of data linkage units. However, the TDLU has successfully applied the use of a BI tool to enable a rich set of data locked in its MLM to be quickly made available in multiple, easy to use formats and by technical and non-technical staff.

Objective: Most species have their trademark metabolites or a class of chemicals that are generally disseminated inside the genus variety. Secondary metabolites from the black turmeric are predominantly camphor, terpenes, lactones, alkaloids, and phenols classification. A database was constructed with the predicted absorption, distribution, metabolism, elimination, and toxicity, druglikeliness, and physiochemical properties of the exclusive black turmeric 103 compounds. Methods: The interface has been designed using Microsoft Structured Query Language platform, keeping in mind the ease of use for a researcher. To support this, the entire set of chemicals and their properties was uploaded in database. Database is used as it is very efficient and supports multiple users at the same time.Results: Black turmeric database gives complete data of compounds by means of 4 segments. Physiochemical, pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, druglikeliness, and molecular information are displayed with chemical structure.Conclusion: We solidly believe that the information from this database are the sources to infer novel pharmaceutical chemical compounds for medication.

A query language for Building Information Models allows users and third-party application programmers to not only analyze the digital building under specific criteria but also to extract partial models from a full building model. This functionality is of crucial importance, since the full BIM is meant to comprise the information of all domains involved in the planning process, but an individual user or programmer is normally interested in only a small subset of it. To specify this subset, a formal language is required which makes it possible to formulate conditions the resulting data set has to fulfill. This concept is also known as providing a certain view of the data available. This chapter gives an overview of the currently available query technologies for BIMs and compares the different options in terms to expressive power and ease of use. The emphasis of the chapter, however, lies in the introduction of spatial query technology for BIMs that has been developed by the authors. Spatial operators extend the analysis and submodel specification capabilities of a query language substantially by providing an intermediate level of abstraction that is close to the human understanding of the geometric-toplological properties of building components and the relationships between them.

In most organizations, Business Information Systems (BIS) make extensive use of information technology, such as personal computers. The study identified the ASIST cottage rental policies and procedures done in billing and collection of rental fees as a basis in developing the ASIST-CREBACS and evaluated the usability of the developed system in terms of usefulness, ease of use, ease of learning, and satisfaction. The study used the descriptive-applied type of research applying the Extreme Programming (XP) model. The researcher used Visual Basic 2008 which supports the Microsoft with NET framework as the programming language and My Standard Query Language (MySQL) as the relational database. Total enumeration of eight staff in the Cashiering and Accounting Offices including the cashier, the accountant, three collecting officers, and three billing clerks evaluated the usability of the developed system. The study used documentary analysis, interview, and the Usefulness, Satisfaction and Ease of Use (USE) questionnaire as data gathering instruments. The cottage rental policies are based on ASIST Implementing Order No. 023, Series of 2009 and the procedures done in billing and collection of rental fees are done semi- manually.  As a result, the ASIST-CREBACS was conceived and developed. The ASIST-CREBACS was designed to fit the cottage rental policies and procedures done in billing and collection of rental fees because it was found to be usable.

The amphibian embryo offers advantages of size, availability, and ease of use with both microsurgical and molecular methods in the analysis of fundamental developmental and cell biological problems. However, conventional wisdom holds that the opacity of this embryo limits the use of methods in optical microscopy to resolve the cell motility underlying the major shape-generating processes in early development.These difficulties have been circumvented by refining and adapting several methods. First, methods of explanting and culturing tissues were developed that expose the deep, nonepithelial cells, as well as the superficial epithelial cells, to the view of the microscope. Second, low angle epi-illumination with video image processing and recording was used to follow patterns of cell movement in large populations of cells. Lastly, cells were labeled with vital, fluorescent dyes, and their behavior recorded, using low-light, fluorescence microscopy and image processing. Using these methods, the details of the cellular protrusive activity that drives the powerful convergence (narrowing)

A method is presented for processing data from the histopathological laboratory of a cancer hospital. Emphasis is laid on the ease of use, the connection of medical, administrative and financial data, and the strictness of control of patient’s identification number. The system can be used separately; it is also a module for a large integrated system covering all the activities of the hospital.

AbstractAn object-oriented medical database management system is presented for a typical cardiologic center, facilitating epidemiological trials. Object-oriented analysis and design were used for the system design, offering advantages for the integrity and extendibility of medical information systems. The system was developed using object-oriented design and programming methodology, the C++ language and the Borland Paradox Relational Data Base Management System on an MS-Windows NT environment. Particular attention was paid to system compatibility, portability, the ease of use, and the suitable design of the patient record so as to support the decisions of medical personnel in cardiovascular centers. The system was designed to accept complex, heterogeneous, distributed data in various formats and from different kinds of examinations such as Holter, Doppler and electrocardiography.
