In most organizations, Business Information Systems (BIS) make extensive use of information technology, such as personal computers. The study identified the ASIST cottage rental policies and procedures done in billing and collection of rental fees as a basis in developing the ASIST-CREBACS and evaluated the usability of the developed system in terms of usefulness, ease of use, ease of learning, and satisfaction. The study used the descriptive-applied type of research applying the Extreme Programming (XP) model. The researcher used Visual Basic 2008 which supports the Microsoft with NET framework as the programming language and My Standard Query Language (MySQL) as the relational database. Total enumeration of eight staff in the Cashiering and Accounting Offices including the cashier, the accountant, three collecting officers, and three billing clerks evaluated the usability of the developed system. The study used documentary analysis, interview, and the Usefulness, Satisfaction and Ease of Use (USE) questionnaire as data gathering instruments. The cottage rental policies are based on ASIST Implementing Order No. 023, Series of 2009 and the procedures done in billing and collection of rental fees are done semi- manually.  As a result, the ASIST-CREBACS was conceived and developed. The ASIST-CREBACS was designed to fit the cottage rental policies and procedures done in billing and collection of rental fees because it was found to be usable.

Main AimBusiness Intelligence (BI) software applications collect and process large amounts of data from one or more sources, and for a variety of purposes. These can include generating operational or sales reports, developing dashboards and data visualisations, and for ad-hoc analysis and querying of enterprise databases. Methods/ApproachIn deciding to develop a series of dashboards to visually represent data stored in its MLM, the TDLU identified routine requests for these data and critically examined existing techniques for extracting data from its MLM. Traditionally Structured Query Language (SQL) queries were developed and used for a single purpose. By critically analysing limitations with this approach, the TDLU identified the power of BI tools and ease of use for both technical and non-technical staff. ResultsImplementing a BI tool is enabling quick and accurate production of a comprehensive array of information. Such information assists with cohort size estimation, producing data for routine and ad-hoc reporting, identifying data quality issues, and to answer questions from prospective users of linked data services including instantly producing estimates of links stored across disparate datasets. Conclusion BI tools are not traditionally considered integral to the operations of data linkage units. However, the TDLU has successfully applied the use of a BI tool to enable a rich set of data locked in its MLM to be quickly made available in multiple, easy to use formats and by technical and non-technical staff.

Web service is accepted by all communities of services due to its interoperability, flexibility of design and architecture. Improving performance is the key research point for developers and researchers. We propose to design, develop and implement a prototype research electronic automated teller machine web service to study the loads, performance and scalability of the service. The service is based on Visual Studio .NET framework. It is developed by using C# as programming language, Internet Information Service (Version: 2005) as web server and, Microsoft Structured Query Language as database server. To study its different aspects the service has been tested by deploying it on Mercury LoadRunner (Version 8.1). In this paper we will present the architecture, testing procedure, results of performance testing as well as results of statistical analysis on recorded data of the service.

BACKGROUND The COVID-19 pandemic spread worldwide in 2020. Notably, in the countries dealing with massive casualties, clinicians have worked in new conditions characterized by a heavy workload and a high risk of being infected. The issue of clinician burnout during the pandemic has attracted considerable attention in health care research. Electronic health records (EHRs) provide health care workers with several features to meet a health system’s clinical needs. OBJECTIVE We aim to examine how the use of EHR features affects the burnout of clinicians working in hospitals that have special wards for confirmed COVID-19 cases. METHODS Using an online survey, we collected data from 368 physicians, physician assistants, and nurses working in six hospitals that have implemented EHRs in the city of Tehran in Iran. We used logistic regression to assess the association between burnout and awareness of EHR features, EHR system usability, concerns about COVID-19, technology solutions, hospital technology interventions, hospital preparedness, and professional efficacy adjusted for demographic and practice characteristics. RESULTS The primary outcome of our study was self-reported burnout during the COVID-19 pandemic. Of the 368 respondents, 36% (n=134) reported having at least one symptom of burnout. Participants indicated that the leading cause of EHR-related stress is inadequate training for using technology (n=159, 43%), followed by having less face-to-face time with patients (n=140, 38%). Positive perceptions about the EHR’s ease of use were associated with lower odds of burnout symptoms. More interventions, such as clear communication of regulations; transparency in policies, expectations, and goals regarding the use of technology in the clinical workflow; and hospital preparedness to cope with the challenges of the pandemic, were associated with lower odds of burnout. CONCLUSIONS The use of EHR applications, hospital pandemic preparation programs, and transparent technology-related policies and procedures throughout the epidemic can be substantial mitigators of technology-based stress and clinician burnout. Hospitals will then be better positioned to devise or modify technology-related policies and procedures to support physicians’ and nurses’ well-being during the COVID-19 pandemic. Training programs, transparency in communications of regulations, and developing a clear channel for informing clinicians of changes in policies may help reduce burnout symptoms among physicians and nurses during a pandemic. Providing easily accessible mentorship through teleconsultation and 24-hour available information technology support may also help to mitigate the odds of burnout.

Nowadays, Indonesia shopping patterns have significantly changed. E-commerce continues to grow rapidly as online shopping has become increasingly attractive. Online shopping saves time and offers convenience. This study was conducted in order to assess the impact of utilitarian and hedonic values on purchasing from online stores in Indonesia. The focus of the assessment was on five dimensions of hedonism and utilitarianism, which are: usefulness, enjoyment, ease of use, trustworthiness, and distribution channel (settlement). A total of 484 respondents were randomly asked to be participants. A questionnaire was the research instrument used to survey the participants for data gathering. The data was then analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Among the indicators tested, it was found that usefulness, enjoyment, ease of use, and distribution channel impacted hedonic values and utilitarian values significantly. Trustworthiness was the dimension that was not significant. For this study, the hypothesis was made that usefulness and enjoyment positively impacted impulsiveness. It can be concluded that whether due to utilitarian, hedonic, or impulsive motives, it will not be a problem. Indonesian shoppers will make purchases thru online shopping even if they have different motivations and purposes.

This study aimed to promote volunteerism among educational stakeholders to support public secondary school programs in the Division of Batangas City. It determined the projects, activities and programs (PAP’s) undertaken by the public schools that need the assistance of the stakeholders, and the extent of the stakeholders’ support along school affairs- its organizational set and policies, projects and activities, student services and facilities. It also delved about the problems met by the public schools in promoting volunteerism among their stakeholders. The study made use of descriptive method with the survey questionnaire, interview and documentary analysis as data gathering instruments. The respondents were 18 school heads, 258 teachers and 74 parents of the 18 public secondary schools. The study revealed that the respondents often supported school projects, activities and programs undertaken by the school. Extra-curricular activities for music and arts were seldom supported. Educational stakeholders also supported school organization set up, policies, school projects, student services and school facilities to a great extent. The main problem encountered in the promotion of volunteerism among stakeholders was that many of the community people come from low-income families thus they hardly provide financial assistance to school which was rated moderately serious.
