This research uses descriptive method by reviewing 15 articles about financial modeling and pro forma analysis in the last 5 years. The results of the analysis for 5 years have not shown the relationship between profitability and risky cash flow and its implications for financial modeling and its effect on proforma analysis. Related to further research, designing a model in the figure can be a relevant reference to the development of financial management science of the industrial revolution era 4.0.

Payment in the Malaysian construction industry has generally been an issue of concern. Late and non-payment problem is endemic in construction and needs to be addressed. The aim of this study is to investigate the issues related to late and non-payment based on the building materials suppliers’ perspective. Questionnaires were distributed to suppliers of building materials in the Klang Valley. Findings from the study shows the main cause of late and non-payment is the paymaster’s poor financial management while the main effect of late and non-payment is problem with the cash flow.  The most recommended possible solution to cope with the issue is for the paymaster to conduct training on financial and cash flow management to the management team in the company.

The current stage of global development is characterized by opportunities for investment activity, along with an instability of the economic situation and high uncertainty, dictates the need for investors and managers to make effective decisions, taking into account constantly changing conditions. An investor, while making a decision which project to accept, for the most part, uses the standard methods of financial management as a basis for forecasting and analysis. Considering fast-moving processes of technology change, as well as the conditions of market uncertainty, significant risk and agency problems, the article proposes the use of real options as an insurance (hedging) tool for investors against risks at different stages of the investment project. Risk management can be carried out through real options - the tool of flexibility in decision making. Traditional assessment methods ignore the ability to adapt internal and external changes, however management flexibility can significantly reduce risks, and therefore create additional value.

Abstract Surrogate decisions involve complex, challenging choices; surrogate decision-makers make treatment decisions for approximately 40% of hospitalized adults and 70% of older adults, and up to 95% of critically ill adults of any age. The purpose of our study was to understand how people make decisions for others and how surrogate decision making is linked to people’s cognition, self-efficacy, and demographics, especially differences in acute (e.g., health and medical care, financial management, and end of life) versus general scenarios (spending time with family, contacting an insurance company on behalf of a family member). Participants were recruited through Amazon’s Mechanical Turk. We collected data from 290 adult participants aged 18 years or older. On average, people reported a higher level of confidence in general versus acute scenario. The differences of confidence in scenario-based surrogate decision-making links to decision-makers’ cognition, self-efficacy, the experience of decision-making, the experience of caregiving, and demographic factors.

When conducting accounting, the following procedures are used: search for compliance of the company's data on accounting and the regulatory framework; study of documentation; finding and forming errors during the audit. Such meth-ods are solved by the rules: evaluation of arithmetic operations; monitoring of inventory; analysis of cash flow in the enterprise; notification of certain persons about the completed economic and accounting operations; interviewing employees orally; assessment of cash flow according to documents; implementation of economic analysis aimed at studying the movement of funds of the enterprise.

Recently, a rapid growth in the population in urban regions demands the provision of services and infrastructure. These needs can be come up wit the use of Internet of Things (IoT) devices, such as sensors, actuators, smartphones and smart systems. This leans to building Smart City towards the next generation Super City planning. However, as thousands of IoT devices are interconnecting and communicating with each other over the Internet to establish smart systems, a huge amount of data, termed as Big Data, is being generated. It is a challenging task to integrate IoT services and to process Big Data in an efficient way when aimed at decision making for future Super City. Therefore, to meet such requirements, this paper presents an IoT-based system for next generation Super City planning using Big Data Analytics. Authors have proposed a complete system that includes various types of IoT-based smart systems like smart home, vehicular networking, weather and water system, smart parking, and surveillance objects, etc., for dada generation. An architecture is proposed that includes four tiers/layers i.e., 1) Bottom Tier-1, 2) Intermediate Tier-1, 3) Intermediate Tier 2, and 4) Top Tier that handle data generation and collections, communication, data administration and processing, and data interpretation, respectively. The system implementation model is presented from the generation and collection of data to the decision making. The proposed system is implemented using Hadoop ecosystem with MapReduce programming. The throughput and processing time results show that the proposed Super City planning system is more efficient and scalable.

MSMEs are an economic driving sector that can contribute greatly to the Indonesian economy. One of the weaknesses of MSMEs is that they still lack knowledge and understanding of financial management, especially when coupled with the Covid-19 epidemic, MSMEs are experiencing various problems, so there needs to be strengthening of MSMEs through various skills so that MSMEs can survive during pandemics and post-pandemics. One of the business groups that is quite affected by Covid-19, is MSMEs engaged in the culinary or food sector, which are indicated to still have weaknesses in the financial aspect. Our MSME partners in community service are handayani catering assisted groups. The PKM team makes efforts to assist the assisted catering groups through mentoring, empowerment and capacity building activities in financial management, starting with providing financial records and bookkeeping as well as various ways to mitigate financial risk. The result of this activity was that the participants began to prepare financial reports and began to implement financial management, especially cash flow, which was previously less of a concern. Participants were greatly helped by the preparation of financial reports as an indicator of business sustainability and health.
