Focusing on the interplay between memory and place, this article examines the rationale behind the use of axonometric drawings (axons) in a geographical research study of the Tumen/Tuman River region encompassing the borders shared by China, Russia and North Korea. The concepts of “memory of place” and “place of memory” guide the structure of this project and the flow of this article. “Memory of place” emphasises the lived experience of our physical senses, and helps determine the great potential of visual methodologies in the fields of geographical and landscape research and study. Drawn up using the graphic production techniques of abstracting, foregrounding, highlighting and juxtaposing, axons avail themselves of and inform both realist and idealist states of mind. In contrast, “place of memory” references a particular type of materiality and helps us understand Tumen Shan-shui as a library of memories that reveals a profusion of contested aesthetic, cultural and political meanings. Axons serve to tell narratives revealing desires, actions and undertakings that have shaped and continue to shape the substance of the memory sites in question including infrastructure, architecture and signage. Initially adopted by the author as a medium for recording and communicating due to security restrictions imposed in the border areas in question, the creation of axons generated new insights on methods of documentation in landscape research, and the places and landscapes themselves.

Border areas, is one of affected area on COVID_19 this present. Many of people cn not go out as usually, adding almost each country has to implement their territorial limitation (lockdown policy) to minimalize this virus spreading. One of Malaysia State, where very close and get direct border with Indonesia. This research took place at Sanggau District, Entikong, Gun Tembawang Village.The research approach used is qualitative, using data collection methods in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation supported by interviews with the theoretical approach to the negative and positive aspects on policy implementation. Research results, The results stated that the lockdown activities of Malaysia which were affected by the corona virus outbreak needed to be carried out in an effort to minimize the spread of the virus outbreak. Although of course it has a negative impact on the country's economic structure, social issues and other sector. In implementing this lockdown, there is a need for cooperation between the government and the community as well as an agreement with neighboring countries in terms of the mobility of residents closest to each other's territory on exemptions in order to realize social welfare and public health without limiting the origin of the state, religion, community and profession. Especially in border areas where mobility and kinship ties have always been closer than in other regions. Keywords: Border area, lockdown policy, covid_19

Abstract. The black carbon (BC) and carbon monoxide (CO) emission ratios were estimated and compiled from long-term, harmonized observations of the ΔBC∕ΔCO ratios under conditions unaffected by wet deposition at four sites in East Asia, including two sites in South Korea (Baengnyeong and Gosan) and two sites in Japan (Noto and Fukuoka). Extended spatio-temporal coverage enabled estimation of the full seasonality and elucidation of the emission ratio in North Korea for the first time. The estimated ratios were used to validate the Regional Emission inventory in ASia (REAS) version 2.1 based on six study domains (“East China”, “North China”, “Northeast China”, South Korea, North Korea, and Japan). We found that the ΔBC∕ΔCO ratios from four sites converged into a narrow range (6.2–7.9 ng m−3 ppb−1), suggesting consistency in the results from independent observations and similarity in source profiles over the regions. The BC∕CO ratios from the REAS emission inventory (7.7 ng m−3 ppb−1 for East China – 23.2 ng m−3 ppb−1 for South Korea) were overestimated by factors of 1.1 for East China to 3.0 for South Korea, whereas the ratio for North Korea (3.7 ng m−3 ppb−1 from REAS) was underestimated by a factor of 2.0, most likely due to inaccurate emissions from the road transportation sector. Seasonal variation in the BC∕CO ratio from REAS was found to be the highest in winter (China and North Korea) or summer (South Korea and Japan), whereas the measured ΔBC∕ΔCO ratio was the highest in spring in all source regions, indicating the need for further characterization of the seasonality when creating a bottom-up emission inventory. At levels of administrative districts, overestimation in Seoul, the southwestern regions of South Korea, and Northeast China was noticeable, and underestimation was mainly observed in the western regions in North Korea, including Pyongyang. These diagnoses are useful for identifying regions where revisions in the inventory are necessary, providing guidance for the refinement of BC and CO emission rate estimates over East Asia.

This article investigates and identifies the involvement of stakeholders, analyzes internal and external factors that influence the planning of country border areas, and formulates strategies and programs for developing national border areas. This study used qualitative methods with IFE, EFE, IE and SWOT analysis. Data collection was carried out by observation, interviews, documentation study, literature study, and FGDs. The number of informants was 13 people who are competent and chosen deliberately. The results of this study indicate that the country border area is in a medium internal and external position, meaning that the border area of the country is in quadrant V, the strategy in quadrant V is to hold and maintain. Quadrant V indicates that the border area has developed and needs to be maintained. Therefore, the right grand strategies to be applied are market penetration and product development.Strategies and programs for developing country border areas with the Strengths-Opportunities strategies are mapping and polarization of tourist attractions, maximizing the types and diversity of tourism products in the border areas of the country, and evaluating cross-border festivals. Development programs by Weaknesses-Opportunities analysis are dissemination and training for human resource development particularly for the local people, construction of public facilities, tourism infrastructure, and coordination between stakeholders, and development programs. Meanwhile, by Weaknesses-Threats analysis, namely focus group discussions, seminars, workshops, entrepreneurship training, formal education for the local youths, security and cleanliness of tourist attractions, and regulatory evaluation. At present, the enhancement of China’s comprehensive national strength, stable currency policy, and the new round of opening-up strategy layout have provided opportunities for the financial development in border areas, especially for the RMB internationalization advancement in border areas, while the lagging financial system construction in current border areas also challenges its RMB internationalization. Based on Friedman’s monetary demand theory (1970), the thesis has combined the periodical characteristics and selected the representative Yunnan province in the border areas as the object, taking into overall consideration the two paths of geography and function for RMB internationalization in border areas, so as to build the two-dimensional path theory framework of RMB internationalization from a border area perspective. In view of the above, a panel econometric regression model is built to estimate the factors influencing RMB internationalization path in Yunnan province. The results show that the process of opening up to the outside world in Yunnan province is its major driving force for RMB internationalization, while the great fluctuation of price level tends to hinder the process advancement and such possible impact of overall revenue on RMB internationalization development as the reginal disparity.

Background : The health status of the people in the border areas with low economic level, especially in rural areas, have not received equitable health services optimally due to geographical location, infrastructure and social. In addition, the border area with vast areas still found the lack facilities and infrastructure of hea lth services that will be make people in the border area is still low in accessing health care facilities. On the other hand, the health workers who are not willing to be placed in the border area has a big influence and that’s lowering the community health status. Problems of inequality health efforts in the border area also caused by the socioeconomic status of the local community which is poverty so that can’t access the health services. Objective : This study aims to analyze the implementation of health policies in the border areas in West Kalimantan, Indonesia. Method : This study is a descriptive study with qualitative approach. This study is a literature study research. Results : Health policy in border area has not been able to overcome the problems of the spread of health workers in the border area. Policies on the health insurance system in the border areas are not distributed optimally. Policies on basic health infrastructure in border areas have not been equally distributed. Policies on referral transportation in border areas are not yet sufficient. Conclusion : The implementation of health policies in the border areas have not been fit for the purposes to increase health status for community.

Abstract Strengthening interaction in a cross-border area corresponds to the presence of linear infrastructure connecting border areas of neighbouring states. One of the projects, which has been implemented since 2008 in the Russian Far East to connect the Russian and Chinese parts of the Amur area (Priamurie), is the Nizhneleninskoye (Jewish Autonomous Oblast) – Tongjiang (Heilongjiang Province) railway bridge construction. The first combined data on the ongoing changes in the transport infrastructure, the potential trade and industrial development and interaction of border areas near the constructing railway bridge are presented in the paper. It was revealed that the key project result at present is the development of transport and logistics infrastructure that provides a connection between the industrial bases of the Northern China and the Russian Far East and Eastern Siberia. The possibilities of developing an industrial cluster in the bridge sites of the two countries are still being discussed.
