Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) is one of the e-catalog information technologies applied in libraries. OPAC is a library information retrieval system that can be accessed online. State Islamic University of Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta has been using OPAC since 2012 and OPAC users are increasing from year to year. An information system will be used by users if it suits their needs. The successful implementation of OPAC raises questions about the factors that influence this success. For this reason, this study aims to determine the factors that influence users to use OPAC. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is a multivariate statistical technique which is a combination of factor analysis and regression analysis (correlation) which aims to examine the relationships between variables in a model. Processing using SEM will be carried out to find the relationship between the variables to be tested, which variables are interconnected, and are there any unrelated variables. The results of processing the variables using SEM can show what variables attract users to use the e-catalog. Acceptance of information systems can be measured by several evaluation models that have been developed at this time. There are many evaluation models used to measure. Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) is the appropriate model to use for this study, because this study is about the acceptance of a system. In addition, several previous studies used by researchers as references also used TAM as their study method to assess user acceptance of a system. This study modifies TAM, which is used to determine user acceptance of an information system, by adding three exogenous variables, information quality, perceived enjoyment, and user interface. Results of this study proved that information quality, user interface, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and behavioral intention to use, are all factors that influence the actual use of OPAC. Perceived enjoyment is a variable that cannot be proved affects the actual use of OPAC.

PurposeThis study aims to investigate the determinants of successful implementation of cloud computing and, further, examines how cloud computing success influences firm performance.Design/methodology/approachThe authors developed a conceptual framework based on the integration of several strands of literature in business studies and information systems. To test the proposed model, data were collected from 300 Chinese firms which have adopted cloud computing. To analyze the data, partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was used. An importance-performance map analysis (IPMA) was also conducted to identify the critical factors that exhibit high importance but low performance.FindingsThe results of the study revealed that end-user satisfaction, information quality, system quality, managerial information technology (IT) capability and technical IT capability significantly affect cloud computing success. Additionally, cloud computing success has a strong and positive impact on firm performance. IPMA further confirms that managers need to concentrate more on system quality, information quality, user satisfaction and technical IT capability.Originality/valueThis paper is one of the few attempts to integrate several theoretical frameworks (i.e. IT capabilities and resource-based view, expectation-confirmation theory, and information system success theory) to develop a comprehensive model for understanding the key determinants of cloud computing success and its impact on firm performance. This study makes a useful contribution to the conventional information systems (IS) literature and IT management practice.

One of the most common procedures in service transport is to adjust the service location information of the passengers or the bus stops. Service companies assign a staff to update service information. These staff prepare lists of passengers and give them to service drivers. In this study, a model is proposed to facilitate the process of updating the service. With the smartphone application, a platform has been prepared in which passengers can automatically update their service information by selecting one of the three closest stops offered to them before the service hour. After development and implementation, its user acceptance is tested and validated via the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) model and structural equation modeling. The main purpose of this study is to determine the acceptance and use of the mobile passenger application by the passengers. In this context, the moderator effect of the frequency of mobile use of passengers, education levels, genders, and ages on the performance expectancy, effort expectancy, facilitating condition, behavioral intention, and use behavior of passenger mobile applications was examined. As a result of the research, it was found out that the frequency of mobile usage has a moderator effect on both the effect of facilitation conditions on the actual use and the effect of behavioral intention on actual use. And also, it appears that the education level has a moderator effect on the effect of facilitating conditions on the actual use, and gender has a moderator effect on the effect of behavioral intention on the actual use. The proposed decision support system reduces the workload of service companies and facilitates the process, which is normally long and painful. Thus, customer satisfaction also increases. Hence, position and stop information between the service firm, passengers, and the drivers is easily and instantly shared.

The research attempts to conjecture the prerequisites of perceived qualities of information system (IS) such as mobile banking (MB). The quantitative research was conducted and a total of 577 MB users of private commercial banks in Myanmar participated in the research. The results of the hypotheses were formulated by using partly exploratory factor analysis (EFA), partly confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and structural equation modeling (SEM) techniques. The findings expose that device quality is an independent factor, and an antecedent of user interface design quality and system quality. The research also discloses that user interface design quality is a prerequisite of system quality and information quality. In the research, system quality and information quality are key factors affecting customers’ intention to adopt MB. Further, the results confirm that system quality has a statistically significant effect on information quality. However, the effect of device quality on information quality is insignificant. It is expected that the research gives valuable insights for not only bank managers but also software engineers who are going to develop MB systems.
